Satisfied with quality of windows and workmanship. Would recommend Metropolitan to anyone needing new windows. Work was done Christmas week, which I was afraid would be a problem, but the work was done with little interruption or mess. Thank you guys!

In July or August 2010, Mike Schmotzer gave us a presentation on the Marvin Infinity windows. He measured the windows and gave us an itemized quote on the cost of replacement our windows. The cost was more than we expected and we got another quote and presentation from another company. In addition, we continued to research. Finally, in late October we decided to proceed. Mike cam back out to rewrite the quote according to our new plans and to get a deposit. A few days later someone else came to do the final measurements. Last week, right before Christmas the crew arrived to put in our windows. Gary, Matt and Jake were extremely professional. They started out by shoveling my sidewalk so that they wouldn't track snow into the house. Then they laid plastic and tarps to keep everything clean. They ran into a few problems due to the original construction, but solved them quickly and efficiently. About midday. John Schmotzer, the owner came to check on the project. Later in the day Paul and Greg arrived to help finish the project. What was originally scheduled as a two-day project was completed in one day. The windows look beautiful, they left the area spotless and the house in warmer. Each person from Metropolitan thanked me for allowing them to do business with us. I only wish I had more work for them to do. They were terrific!

How did it go - perfectly. Started by sending window measurements to several vendors in town. After speaking with other vendors, invited Metropolitan into our home. Always on time as promised - for quote, installation etc. Installation day - for 19 windows - done swiftly, efficiently and with care in two days. They were able to schedule several men to accomplish this wonderful service. Love the windows - replaced vinyl windows. The windows block more noise and heat than expected. Very nice. A screen had a small tear - not unexpected - no problem in replacement. Picked up and returned promptly. Thrilled with the process - and it was a big job.

The people that worked were very personable and we had a good experience overall.

During the horrible snows of this winter, we started to experience leaking through our 2 original stained glass bathroom windows. We knew we would have to have them replaced but were sick over losing the beautiful original stained glass feature. We went to Metropolotan Window and made an appointment for their salesperson, Guy, to come to our house and give us an estimate. He said they would be able to preserve the original stained glass and put it in a new window. We also had storm windows added to other stained glass to protect them. It took about 3-4 weeks for our new windows to come in. The installer came and installed the storm windows and removed the original bathroom windows and took the stained glass to Williams Stained Glass Studio for repair. About 2 weeks later, Metropoiltan came back to install the new bathroom windows, which took about 2 hours. The windows look fantastic and we're so happy to have been able to preserve the stained glass. Both their salesperson, Guy, and their installation coordinator, Jeff, were great to work with and extremely responsive. They kept us informed throughout the entire process. Guy even cam eot my office to draw up the order. Metropolitan's prices may be higher than other window companies, but the additional money was worth it for the customer service and fantastic results we received.

Mike was prompt for the afternoon appointment. We discussed the advantages of fiberglass vs vinyl and the high performance level of Marvin windows. Marvin windows seemed like a great solution to my draft and noise problems. I received 2 other bids that were lower, but I saw Metropolitian as the best value. Mike was correct when he said that it would take about a month before the windows would be ready. I was surprised when only one installer arrived about 10:00AM, but soon found that Don was quite able and prepared for the job. Don was polite, very knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure of complete satisfaction. He cleaned up the mess and did a great job.

We learned of this company from Angie's List, after being unhappy with another company that had recently replaced all the windows on our second floor. John, the long-time owner came out twice to help us decide on what would best suit us, and walk us thru the options. We looked at the confusing tax credit info on-line together to make sure our windows would qualify. Jeff, the installation manager joined John on the second visit to help plan a complex curved-top window and a possible air conditioner relocation. The installation went very smoothly in one day. The Marvin windows were better than we expected. They look great inside and out. The installer, Donald, did a great job, and was very quality conscious. He cleaned up nicely after himself. Our original steel windows from the 1920's were very heavy, bolted into the brick wall, and hard to remove, but the job went smoothly. We are very happy.

When we ordered our new windows, we were promised they would come within six weeks, but they arrived in less than three. The installers were great. They arrived on time, worked quickly and expertly, and cleaned up when they finished. A couple of times, there were complications requiring extra work and materials. They were dealt with very professionally, and at no additional cost. The installers took pride in their work, and they did what ever it took to ensure a perfect job. These windows are not cheap. But the quality of the product and of the workmanship in installation justify the cost. Although I gave a score of B for price, maybe it should have been an A considering what we got for the price. It's worth the cost to be able to sleep well knowing you're getting a high quality product, and are dealing with ethical and honorable people.

I got a prompt response to my request for an estimate and a knowledgeable representative visited. I never got an estimate, even after calling to see where it was.

Salesman came on schedule and estimated cost for door we wanted. After door was manufactured, installer called to make an appointment to install the door. Installer came and installed the door on day 1. He finished the exterior on day 2. If the above sounds cut and dried, it wasn't. As with any old house, you never know what you are going to find until you start taking things apart. The installer removed the wood around the door and was faced with a lot more work that he anticipated because of the way the house was constructed. However, he didn't complain. Instead he dug right in and did a masterful job of disassemble and reassembly. The end result is a great looking door and frame.

They were all just absolutely fantastic! I worked with 3 different people. They all showed up on time, where very polite, and even brought dog biscuits for my dog! Any time I called, the salesman got back with me. 4 years ago I had the door to my kitchen done, and when you look at the 2 doors, it makes me want to cry, because now I want that door fixed! I didn't have to watch them like a hawk, like I have had to do with other contractors. The owner even called after the job was done to make sure that I was pleased with the service! There was nothing more I could have asked for!

They were excellent. The windows are beautiful and very well installed. When I had a problem on the door, they came right away. They are a class act.

It was a great experience. They cleaned up really well after themselves. I would recommend them to my friends and family. They came out on schedule. I would use them again.

They came out in a timely manner. We were pleased with them. We liked the style of the windows better with another company. That's the only reason we didn't go with them.

Everyone at Metropolitan is wonderful! We worked primarily with Guy, who was willing to meet with us after work and really took the time to explain our options. His customer service was the main reason we went with Metropolitan. We look forward to working with him in the future to replace the rest of the windows.

Excellent experience from start to finish.

I would give them an "A" for everything except cost, and for cost I would give them a "C." They're a little pricey on the windows I purchased, which were fiberglass.

Excellent! The entire experience of getting estimates, the ordering process, and installation was great. Work was done on time, and exceeded my expectations. The windows were made locally, and the order was processed ahead of schedule. My windows were available in half the time (2 weeks) of other bidders. The entire crew was helpful, returned calls in a very timely manner, checked up on work, and was a great experience overall. Installation went smoothly, Bill was great. High recommendation for this company and its employees!!!!

John Schmotzer (owner) was very pleasant to deal with, explaining the qualities of the product, what was involved in the process, and providing answers to all our questions. Since this happened during the holiday period, we expected a wait of 6-8 weeks for delivery, but the windows arrived in about two weeks. The crew who did the work bent over backwards to accommodate our wishes, and they did a first-rate job. They clearly took great pride in the quality of their work, doing whatever was necessary to make sure everything was done right. At the end, they cleaned everything up and carried away all the trash. Both Mr. Schmotzer and the installers gave every indication of honesty and integrity. Overall, we are very pleased with the results. The windows as well of the workmanship are of the highest quality, and we would recommend this company to anyone. We will certainly be dealing with them again.

Metropolitan's estimate was $350 and $300 higher than the other 2 quotes. Window quality was comparable. Scheduled installation was also worse. Did not use because of price/schedule.

We got an estimate for replacement of all of our windows. The representative faxed us an estimate and a couple days later I asked for some addresses so I could see their completed work. He was able to have those faxed to me less than a day later. They were one of our last two contenders. Their completed work looked good from what we saw and their prices were comparable to our other choice. The decision wasn't easy. We ended up going with a different company, but I would most certainly recommend contacting them when getting estimates for your window projects.

Michael's visit was like a breath of fresh air. While he could easily have sold us a window, he saved us a ton of money by being honest about the condition the window was in. The weatherstripping and labor we will need should cost about $75 as opposed to about $600 for a new window. It's refreshing to know that not everybody is in the business to make a buck at the expense of others.

I was impressed with the windows, but I was a little upset because the trim did not match the outside of the house. The quality of the work was good though and the people were friendly. I would recommend them to other people.

Mike was on time, very courteous, and gave me a fair estimate. The company called me later for a follow up check. I decided not to have the work done because I have other projects that take a higher priority at the moment. However, I will certainly consider Metropolitan when I can budget for this or other window projects.
