The installers on the day of the project and the owners have always been very kind and proessional. They are not the least expensive company. However, theyhave a good product in those "Marvin" windows and they are professional and respectful of your home. When decided on a company to do your windows at least always keep them in the mix of your consideration as they should always be on your top three list of companies - $, reputation, professionalism in text, emails, phone call and on site visists are important to me. I feel I paid a fair price.

Metropolitan Window Company replaced my Bay Window and did an excellent job. I'm so happy with my new bay window. The craftsmanship was amazing and the window is just beautiful!!! The carpenters were professional, punctual and very good at their craft. I would highly recommend Metropolitan Window Company.

Here we are nearly 5 years after windows were installed and could not be happier with the windows Our house is 150 years old and near AGH so the noise from the helicopter is quite loud. I could not believe how much the new windows cut down on the noise and not one bit of draft. The appearance is just as nice now as when they were installed. I'm more than pleased with windows and feel I got a quality product.

From start to finish, my experience with Metropolitan Window company was top notch!! I began my search for windows in early September and compared various window companies in the Pittsburgh area. Upon my entering the showroom on Route 51, I was greeted warmly by John Schmotzer. John was so nice to me. He went over all of the features of the windows and John even answered all of my dumb questions. Then I met Maggie. What a nice lady....Maggie, John and I chatted after John did his demonstration and she setup my appointment for John to come to my house. John came to my house a couple days later and measured for my windows. Once again, what a great experience. I think they had me sold in the showroom but again, John and I chatted and needless to say, I signed the contract that night and my windows were ordered. My windows were installed today. Again, spectacular experience....Paul and Brian arrived as expected a little after 8 a.m. Paul exclaimed to me that I had the best in Brian. Well, that was absolutely true but Paul was great too!! They came in, laid out drop clothes all over my house. They then went to work and by 2 p.m. were out the door with my beautiful new windows installed to perfection and my house looking like they were never there. I cannot say enough about how much I loved dealing with Metropolitan Window Company. I did my homework when looking at windows but honestly, there was no other choice but Metropolitan. Their competitors paled in comparison.

2nd quote; first was with a newish company with office in oakmont; turned off due to sales tactics used. Metropolitan was good, less $ for same work. Final measure was off by a week (the B for punctuality, sometimes things happen), but the door was on schedule anyway! Removed existing door, fixed all wood damage from water, installed new door, finished earlier than I expected. Very good at what they do. $ was ok (of course we always want it for less!) One less headache for me, and I'm glad I hired Met.

The process went amazingly well. This was a big job that cost a lot of money; therefore, I was very nervous. However, everyone in the company was easy to work with and kept their word every step of the way. There were no glitches or unexpected setbacks or expenses. Jimmy and Rich (the installers) were very professional and did a wonderful job on the installation. The doors look absolutely beautiful. I would definitely recommend this company for door installation. I was looking for a company that provided a quality product with quality service and that is exactly what I received from Metropolitan Window Company.

First, the sales rep was thorough and friendly, but not pushy. Prices and the sales presentation were much better than what we got from a big-name national replacement window company. Installation was a breeze. The installation guys arrived on time on the date of our choice, and finished the job sooner than estimated. First we walked through the relevant rooms together. This gave them a chance to ask questions about whether they should start in the bathroom or the basement, which doors to use, would our dog run out the door, etc... They kept the work areas (3 different rooms) neat and clean as they worked. Before finishing the exterior, they paused to show us two options to make sure we'd be happy with the job. We are! The finished products look great from the inside and outside. Since the weather turned very cold this week, we've appreciated the huge difference in comfort provided by our new windows. I should also add that Metropolitan is a very friendly, customer-focused business. They've sent follow-up letters thanking us for the business. I would definitely recommend Metropolitan Window Company for your window needs and plan to use them again should we choose to replace other windows in the future

When the time came to replace our 32 year old windows, I did a lot of homework and narrowed our search down to a few companies with Metropolitan Windows being 1 of the 3 companies. The salesman Guy was right on time, actually a little early but was very thorough and nice to talk to. Everyone at the office was very prompt in following up to confirm appointments and were very understanding when I had to reschedule once. In the end, the price was just a bit higher than my budget and we ended up going with a different place

They measured twice! They communicated well! The installers were perfectionists. The owners care that the clients are 100% satisfied; they are courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Metropolitan Window Company is a top-notch company! We could not be any happier with our new windows! Michael came out to give us a quote and there was no pressure to sign a contract. He obviously believes in his product and stands behind his company. Shawn was the head installer on our project and he could not have been more professional and nice to deal with. His installation team was also very nice and actually seemed happy to be doing the work. We have never had a home project go so smoothly! We would highly recommend this company to anyone needing new windows!

The doors provided (Provia) are first rate and absolutely beautiful. The quality of work is first rate as well. The work was done in a single day by two very talented installers. From the very first phone call to contact through several onsite sales visits to narrow down project selections, through installation, through onsite visit by sales to review work you simply couldn't ask for a better contractor. I would hire them to do any window or door related project without hesitation.

We did not use them. It was more than the company that we actually went with. It was fine. We got another estimate and went with a company that was a little lower for the windows and they doors.

Can't say enough good about Metropolitan Window. Great product, great people, great service. We got estimates from 5 window companies. We thought Metropolitan's product was the best and they couldn't be nicer or finer people. The windows are double-pane fiberglass with a wood-look finish on the inside. The wood-look really, truly looks and *feels* like wood, including textured wood grain -- not at all like the fake wood vinyl windows we saw, which, relatively speaking, seemed flat and fake. We're totally impressed with how good they look, plus they have the low maintenance qualities yet sturdiness of fiberglass. Compared to Pella windows, they seem significantly more substantial and better made than their lower-level design, and compared to Pella's higher-level lines, they're not so clunky and old-fashioned feeling (unless you need that for your house), and again, we prefer the low-maintenance qualities of fiberglass. Renewal by Andersen seemed like a pretty good product, but they were much higher-priced with very pushy salespeople. Another highly rated local window company seemed to think they knew better than we did what we wanted; they wanted to sell us wood casement windows. Universal Window seems like a good company for vinyl windows, which are significantly cheaper, but we like Metropolitan's windows much better. Very pleased.

Excellent, professional sales people, no pressure installation impeccable (Don and Jim), on time, left the place cleaner than before!

These windows were custom built, so that took a few weeks, but the installation began on April 12, 2016, with Jim and Don, the same guys who worked on my previous job. It was nice to see them again. They completed the job by the 15th, again leaving my place clean of all debris, and well vacuumed. The only drawback is that I couldn't get them to do my taxes for me. I have received so many compliments on the look of my "new" front porch, I should have done this long ago. Unfortunately, the porch is still only 3-season as there is no heating out there - but Metropolitan Windows doesn't do that sort of work. My next project for them will be to replace my front door. I won't call anyone else. And I highly recommend them to you, too.

An appointment was set up immediately to give me an estimate. Of the multiple estimates I received, MW was on par with the others but had the best professionalism and communication with me as a customer. Guy explained the product well and helped me to find what I was looking for. The window installation was timely and professionally done. We are very pleased with the result and would definitely use MW again.

Metropolitan Window Co. did a great job on our house! I called the company and they sent Sean out the next day to give us an estimate. As we live in an older (100+ years) house, Sean wanted to double check his measurements before placing the final order. He came out with John and the Marvin representative later that week and spent over two hours measuring every window and discussing the best methods for install. We were given a more accurate quote and asked a few more questions on style and hardware. John recommended a specific window style because we were about to go with a paneled look that would not have been period appropriate for the house. We ordered our windows, submitted the deposit, and waited the 5-6 weeks they estimated. Soon after the order process, we were told that two of the windows had to be tempered glass because they were too close to the staircase. Metropolitan Windows were great and took the cost of making those two windows tempered glass as they did not think it had to be. In about a month, they called to schedule an installation date. The day of installation, a crew came in first thing in the morning, and removed, replaced, and sealed all 13 windows by 5PM. The minute I stepped into the house, I could feel the difference the new windows made insulating the house. The price was high, but because the Historic District requires wooden windows, we understood it would be a high cost. We could not be happier with Metropolitan Window Co. and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for new windows!
