There were good things and bad things about how this went. The good things include: 1. Mark was good about coming to assess the job ahead of time and provide us with an estimate. 2. They were willing to do the job in 2 parts, which we very much appreciated. 3. The guys who did the work were very professional. 4. The finished products (new pump, radiator unit in the kitchen) are very nice and seem to be working well thus far. There were also very bad things about this job. These include: 1. Mark changed the dimensions of the radiator several times between providing the quote and installing the final unit, so we have no idea how what was installed compares in price to what he based his original estimate on. 2. After they installed the radiator, the valves in the basement that connected to the new unit leaked, causing a big mess. They came the next morning to fix it, but it was a huge inconvenience/disappointment. 3. When we got the bill, it was nearly $300 more than the original estimate, with no explanation of any of the costs. When we called Mark to sort out the details, he could not provide a good explanation for why the cost was more. At first he said it was because they did more work than they thought they were going to do the first time they came out (he said they did an inspection of the boiler and installed a new thermocouple, but they did that the year before). When the cost of that didn't amount to the difference in what we were charged and what we were quoted, he said he just "made a mistake" when putting the final cost into the system. We asked repeatedly for an itemized bill, but he insisted that was not easy to do and it would result in an even higher price, so we finally just paid an amount that was about $120 more than the original quote. Overall, the work they did was ok, but their poor customer service and lack of transparency makes us reluctant to use them again in the future.

Went OK, but boiler subsequently started discharging water to floor every morning when heat turned on. Upon call, they returned and fixed for an additional $87 for replacement relief value (but did not charge me another service call fee). It is unclear why they did not notice the pressure relief value problem the first time.

Very punctual, friendly, courteous and unobtrusive. They finished the installation quickly and cleaned up afterward. This past week has been etremely cold and I have had the opportunity to actually use this new furnace. Since my old furnace was over 20 years I'm hoping to see a reduction in my gas bills.

We purchased a high efficiency furnace from Metro Heating and Cooling and had a very positive experience. No pressure sales presentation which was professional and informative. Tom and his crew worked around MY schedule for the install - even with short notice and a very full work load of new furnaces to install. Installation crew was professional, very neat, and went out of their way to answer all of my questions as they worked. Very happy with the professional installation. This has been one of the most positive experiences with any type of contractor that we've had in a long time. I can highly recommend Metro Heating and Cooling! UPDATE: Had a problem with my furnace (manufacturer's issue) that caused a major fix within just about a year of installation. The guys at Metro Heating and cooling were wonderful about fixing the problem immediately. The "after-the-sale" promise of great customer service is true! They really are an honest and Customer focused company!

I always request one of their technicians, Heath, who is very polite, competent, and personable. He is always on time and does well with my large dog.

Wonderful --- I was looking for someone to replace the vendor who had installed the unit as I was very displeased with the quality of their work -- and METRO came through -- I have signed up for their maintenance plan and am hopeful to have them as my vendor for years to come...

They are great! I was with Wahl HVAC and they overcharged me on almost everything! Metro is nice, punctual, explains everything and most of all, does not try to sell you something that you don't need!

Unit is shot. Needs replaced.

We used Metro Heating and Cooling for our annual boiler and AC maintenance for over three years. Their repairmen were always prompt and professional, but unfortunately we learned after the fact that they were not completing the work they were hired to do. We had our boiler serviced in November 2012. The invoice from that repair/maintenance indicated that the unit was tested for carbon monoxide, and that it passed inspection. We put our house up for sale about one month later, and as a part of the sale of the home, the boiler was inspected. That inspection revealed significant carbon monoxide leaks which required repair. I called Metro Heating and Cooling over four months ago, and asked to speak with the service manage regarding my concerns. My call was never returned. I have never written a negative review of any company or product, but in this case I felt that it was warranted. It is clear that carbon monoxide testing was not performed by the Metro technician, and as a result they put the health of my family at risk. Further, their service manager did not respond when I attempted to contact him/her regarding my experience.

Engineer was prompt (in fact, he was early!). I bought a coupon via Angie's List that covered the cost of the services provided. The engineer was personable, and he answered a lot of questions I had in detail. Overall a good experience, I would happily use them again.

We had our AC and furnace both serviced, we bought the house a year and a half ago and neither were serviced yet, so we wanted to get them up to date. The technician was on time and serviced both. We had no issues. The price includes the current service on both units and a service contract for next year to service them both again.

Everything went smoothly.

They did a really good job. They installed our unit a few years ago and we have not had any issues. They come back annually to service the unit.

The gentleman doing the service was very nice and professional. The problem was when we had the furnace stop and my wife called them, it seemed as though the man on phone didn't want to be bothered and we had to call out another service.

Metro was very easy to contact and schedule an appointmet. Provider was on time, friendly and knowledgable.

Metro did a great job. Thorough inspection, prompt arrival, friendly personnel and cleaned up area after job was done.

Everything went well. They arrived on time and did the work as stated within the deal.

It went very well and they were excellent. I actually found them and the three guys based on the reviews I got for them. The deal was great and they were very good. I was very happy and it turned out to be a lot more than they had bargained for in the project. They managed to do the work in one day which was incredible. They came in the morning and found that the job would take a couple of more hours than they had thought. They rescheduled immediately because they could take care of it in one day. So, it was very hard and they managed to take care of it. They were very friendly and made sure they kept the place clean. They were reasonably priced. Even though I purchased one big deal, they gave us the same cost for the second one which was very nice. They worked right around a holiday which was nice too.

The problem occurred on Saturday night. I left a message with the 24 hour service phone number. They told me that a service person would call in the morning. He did and said that he would not be able to come to my house until about 4 pm. I said that was fine. As it tuned out he arrived about 2 hours earlier, which was OK. Based on my description of the problem he knew what to inspect and immediately found the problem. He had it repaired in about 1/2 hour. The service man was polite and courteous, put everything back in order, and made sure everything was working fine before he left.

It was very good. They had adequate staff and they were serious about their work. We did have some questions on the efficiency and they did help us with that. It was a pretty involved process. They were a little bit delayed on the responsiveness, but in the end they took care of it. They were honest. We can tell now at this point that it is efficient. Our bills cost less. Overtime I feel we will profit from the investment.

Needed a New AC and Furnace - the old AC was leaking Freon and I was tired of the cost to refill it. Settled on 3 main brands (Carrier, Bryant, Trane) and added another (Rheem) as a lower end option. I used Angie's list to get the Carrier and Bryant Dealers. I knew both a Rheem and Trane dealer from prior experience. I called and got quotes from Caruso, Metro, Wade, Staab, S Hills Plumbing, Woodruff and Smith. I called one other Bryant Dealer (twice) but never got a call back so they missed the cut right away. So for Metro here goes - Called and got an immediate appointment. Tom Wessner came on time and looked over my situation. It took almost a week to get his quote and while it was complete and would have filled my needs, it was over 2K higher than a quote I had for better equipment from the same manufacturer. I have no doubt Metro would have done a good job, but at the premium price quoted, I decided to go elsewhere for my purchase.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. They provided the service that we purchased and were very professional. I actually went ahead to purchase a contract to do the heat in the fall and the air conditioning for the following spring.

Very professional. Price was as quoted. They were running early and called to ask if it was okay to show up early. They did a very nice job with the installation and even took a quick look at my unit to give me some tips.

Workers were professional, respectful of our belongings and home, and very nice to deal with. They cleaned up after themselves and answered any questions we had. It was a very positive experience and we are enjoying whole house air conditioning. We have steam heat/radiators, and this system was installed in the attic and vented down through the second and first floors. We expected a lot more mess and dirt and were pleasantly surprised. The ceiling ducts that were installed look like they have always been there.
