This company will NOT work for out of state owners. I was very surprised that after the lady that was taking my information declined the job because she heard the building's billing address wasn't in PA. Very strange....

Metro was recommended by a friend who had the same work done several years ago. My house already had A/C but the upstairs was NEVER cool enough in warm weather and ceiling fans only pushed around hot air. I didn't want ugly window or wall units. My initial call to Metro in the fall of 2017 was promptly answered and within the week, Mark Russell visited my home to provide a quote. He was very courteous, professional, friendly and took the time to explain the installation in detail, answered all questions and addressed my concerns. I opted to have the installation done in February 2018 and then have Metro come back in the spring to actually start up the unit. The day of the install, the men were VERY CLEAN!! I requested that they isolate where the ceiling registers were to be installed by hanging plastic from the ceiling to encompass the work area to keep dirt from flying all over the rooms. They did that as well as wore booties while in the house. Regardless, I still expected to come home to a lot of clean up... surprise! My house was amazingly clean! They set the unit in the attic, installed ductwork to ceiling registers in each upstairs room, a cold-air return in the hall ceiling, the thermostat in the hall, the outside unit on a pad next to the existing unit and ran all lines from attic to outside unit (neatly tucked alongside gutter downspout). As it turned out, the thermostat kept malfunctioning and they discovered they had received a bad batch as mine wasn't the only faulty unit. Mark said that when they came back in the spring for the initial start-up, they'd replace it. Fast forward to May 2018 - Metro returned to replace the thermostat, start up the unit and I am thoroughly enjoying comfortable upstairs temperatures - sleep is actually possible and no more sweating as soon as I get out of the shower! Thanks Mark & Metro, worth every penny!!

They were fast in responding to me. Arrived on time. Technician took time to explain situation in easy terms.

They've done good work before. They installed my hot water tank and they put in my furnace. They've always been good. For price they're a little on the high side, but I think if you get somebody that's worth it and they do a good job, then it's worth it. I think they're a little above average. For punctuality, I don't remember them being late or anything. It's been quality work done, timely, and I never had a problem after that. That's what's important to me. The workers I have come in contact with are fine. Their communication was good. I remember them explaining to me what my options were and I picked what I wanted done. They were fine.

They come out within the same day as a call. They have not overcharged us. They have been honest with what needed to be changed or repaired. They carry spare parts with them.

Excellent service. The response time to my initial inquiry was very fast I was given a variety of options The work was completed in a short time period The team were fast, skilled and extremely polite. They left the house spotlessly clean.

They are responsive in an emergency. For a regular checkup you almost have to get on a list in the summer for an early fall checkup. I called them in, I believe early October. At that point, the first appointment was in November. We used them for a number of years. They will do work the same day if it is an emergency. They're very punctual.

At first I was very pleased when a rep from the company came and told me we didn't actually need any work to be done. I asked for a statement from him in writing so I could send it to our relocation company and he said he would get it to me that night or the next day. 3 days later, after not receiving anything, I contacted the company and was told they would get something over to me that day. After still not getting anything I called the following day (we were on a deadline) and I was told by the rep that he actually couldn't give me a statement saying no work needed to be done, and instead sent me an estimate for $800-900 in work that he had previously said didn't need to be done. After two more phone calls and being told I would receive a call from the owners to get things sorted out, I finally moved on to a different company. I still never heard a word back from Metro and the other company was able to give me their statement that same afternoon they came out. I would NOT deal with Metro if you can avoid it and need something done quickly. During a time when I needed several estimates, they were the last one I was waiting on and still never heard back from them.

What stands out is that they were relatively prompt. That was a positive. They installed the system so we are kind of on the hook.

Metro did an excellent job installing the air conditioner and air ducts. Out house is two and one-half stories with the master bedroom in the attic. The installed the air handler in the knee wall space in the attic and ran ducts in the second floor closets to reach the first floor. They scheduled four days and completed the work in three and one-half days. At the beginning of the job, they said they might have to move a wall about one foot to make room for the air handler, but it turned out that they were able to fit it in the existing space. They were very clean and very professional.

Came home to find a puddle of water under my furnace. Called Metro, and scheduled an appointment for them to come out later in the week. Came within the first 20 minutes of the three hour window I had been given. I had thought it was my whole house humidifier, but the technician explained it was the furnace condensation pump. Gave me a decent quote to fix ($179ish, can't remember exact amount), and he was in and out in about two hours. I would suggest calling during business hours. I left two messages with their nighttime message service that were not returned. When I called during business hours, I was able to make an appointment at that time.

Metro Heating & Cooling was the only company that was able to arrive early in the morning. Thankfully, they had just finished up a prior work order and were able to come immediately. I lost heat overnight and was concerned about my pipes freezing. Chase (field technician) arrived within an hour and performed all work quickly and in a polite and courteous manner. He even took the time to help explain some of the basics about owning and operating a boiler / radiator heating system. Truly top notch service! I would definitely consider Metro Heating & Cooling in the future for any maintenance or repair work. Highly recommended!

They were in and out in only a few hours. They didn't try and push a bunch of unneeded elements on me as they knew I was on a budget. Even before the installation, when they came out to service my existing heater, they did a great job. Would definitely hire again and highly recommend them.

This company took the time to redesign the ductwork to be more energy efficient and to provide greater comfort. Their work was meticulous, the equipment was best of breed and their pricing was the best value of anyone I got quotes from. Personality wise, they are a joy to work with. I recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right at an affordable price.

Our contract was for fall and spring maintenance. This was satisfactory. What was not satisfactory was the cost of parts. The technician offered to replace the humidifier filter for $60. Fortunately I had one that I purchased on the internet for $10. The flame sensor replacement cost $144. Looking on the internet afterwards, the cost of this part ranged from $10 to $60. We are very unhappy at the price inflation for parts by Metro.

We saw the positive reviews on Angie's list, so we scheduled with them right away. The assistant on the phone was very friendly and worked with our schedule. The serviceman was patient and friendly with us a new homeowners. He cleaned and serviced our air conditioner, making sure it was in order. We really appreciated that he took the time to explain things to us and answer our questions. And the price was affordable, too.

It went great. Guys were professional. They were on time. Office personal and service manager were very helpful.

We have used Metro in the past. The service rep determined that the compressor on the 30 year old A/C unit was not functioning. Parts for that model are no longer available. We received a quote and within 3 business days we had a new model installed. The three technicians who installed the unit were personable, efficient, and professional. They arrived at 8:30 AM and the job was completed by 2:00. They did an excellent job clean up and left no debris from their work.

He was bold and nasty. I told him the things that I wanted. He wasn’t ready to listen said he was the installer. I brought the furnace and he wanted to change so many things. The other quotes we got nobody wanted to change anything. He never gave us a quote. He was against everything we had to say. He took all the dimensions and said he’ll call back but never did.

It went well. There was some confusion about the fact that it was an Angie’s List purchase. He wrote up the bill and did more things than we were anticipating. When he gave me the bill, I told him it was already paid for it. He told me I should have told him about the Deal before he did the work. In that respect, we were not happy with it. It did work out as he dropped it down to the correct amount but I felt there was an honesty issue.

They are great. I had an older AC that they replace the fluid, Freon, in and they said that they were happy to help me. They are friendly and responsive. They have good and fair price.
