Description of Work: The on call service tech responded to my no heat call after hours. Their service call fee is double after hours $160.00 just to come to the location. All repairs and parts are doubled as well which would make a $30.00 part $60.00. I wouldn't use this company ever.

Description of Work: We have lived in our home for 4 years and have not had heat in the master bedroom. One specific radiator was ice cold and the other was lukewarm. We had one person look at the issue & they said they had to do extensive work by running a new return, etc. It sounded labor intensive and expensive. After seeing an ad for Metro Heating and Cooling in the monthly published Angie's List Magazine, I read that Metro was and old home expert. I called, they sent a technician who figured the problem out in just a few minutes. It was fixed after parts were ordered and now we enjoy a toasty warm master bedroom. The technician was prompt, professional, honest and extremely knowledgeable about our boiler system. I would definitely use Metro again and I would not hesitate referring them to friends and family.

Description of Work: I had originally bought the Angies List deal for a 16pt furnace inspection. They were eager to schedule my appointment and based on another reviewer I thought I would have issues because of distance, but not a problem at all. They were punctual and extremely professional. I have a two furnace system so while he was there I paid for the second to be inspected as well, great rates. My home was built 6 years ago and in that time 2 different HVAC companies have come to service items and none had informed me that my humidifier was not operable due to a water line issue, except Metro. He did what it took to get it running and gave me other great ideas of how to better keep my heating and cooling bills low while evenly heating my home. I will definately call them back!

Description of Work: Both high efficiency furnaces were checked. The blower was malfunctioning on one of the furnaces, which was obvious based on the loud noise, and replaced within a few days.

Description of Work: We had an emergency at the house, leaving the inhabitants of a two story building without heat. After completion of a pre-arranged inspection, Metro worked quickly and efficiently to repalace the furnace as soon as possible. When heat was available to only part of the house (due to frozen pipes) Metro returned promptly and did what had to be done to get the heat restored to the house. We are grateful to them for their prompt and professional response and their concern I would definitely use them in the future

Description of Work: My furnace stopped working in the evening. I called and to save money for an emergency call, since the weather was not that cold, they arranged to see me early the next morning. The person making arrangements and the professional who came were both very responsive and sympathetic. My inducer motor was bad. They got one delivered downtown from another facility and came back quickly and installed it.

Description of Work: checked air filter . cleaned and checked all ac components and operations, found system over charged, adjusted refrigerant charge , found condensor fan motor pulling high amp draw .50 fla (.59 pulling). Replaced condensor fan / ac performance checked ok. Heath and Larry were great, friendly, efficient,thorough. Even though I told him i was ready to buy a new ac he told me that the existing one was 11 yo and should last 15-20 years. A previous furnace man told me a few years back it needed replaced. This company gets A+. Also thanks for the dog treats!

Description of Work: On an emergency basis, replaced thermostat in gas furnace, cleaned entire unit with amazing thoroughness, checked thermostat, drained expansion tank... very fast, very neat, detail-oriented, very professional, obviously very experienced... also friendly, polite, had treats for our dogs!! Talk about full service! Came within an hour of my call when others could only give me an appointment weeks out. Fabulous!

Description of Work: No services were performed. My air conditioning went out. Found Metro on Angie's list. Called on Sunday June 11th. Talked to a woman on the phone and she told me that Sunday would be extra. So i told her that tomorrow, Monday would be okay. She said someone would call me Monday morning June 12th. Well i am still waiting for a call back and today is June 21st. The inconsiderate business they run without the courtesy of a phone call back. I wouldn't recommend this outfit to my worst enemy. They suck. Period. I went back on Angie's list and found Phillips' air conditioning they told me they would call me back the next day and they did.They fixed the problem that day ,the technician was great and that my friends is how you run a business. Metro. Simple. Stay away. terrible. They must run their business on friends and family. And i will never be theirs. Save yourself the phone call. Metro wont come.

Description of Work: storm knocked out my ac, turned out i just needed to reset the circuit breaker. Heath came out and diagnosed and fixed the problem in no time. Service was GREAT, actually came early and he was extremely professional. they were also super nice on phone, and they were even willing to change the time they came out since i had a last minute problem. not only this, they came out the same day. I just can't say enough good things about this company.

Description of Work: The blower motor of our furnace died and they replaced it. Two servicemen came (one in training) and they explained everything they would do and did.

Description of Work: I waited 3 weeks for an appointment to have my furnace cleaned. They canceled 1 hour before the man was to arrive because they had too many emergencies. I understand that furnace emergencies are more important than a cleaning of a furnace, but no provision was made for my inconvenience. I had to get in line behind everyone else three more weeks ahead. If someone has to work overtime than they should. I will not use them, I will call someone else.
