We just bought a house and the valves on the steam heater radiators were extremely noisy, whistling and "spitting" out steam. It was so loud that it was impossible to talk or sleep at night. Guys from Metro came in back in April, said that the valves would need to be replaced, $75 each. They did not have the valves at the time, said that they were busy with all the AC work and advised to call back in the fall. They charged me for the visit and diagnostic. It look some time to get them back in September, they could not find my name in their records any time we called. Eventually they came over to estimate again and have me an estimate $150 higher than in April. When I questioned that they said that they "threw in" a heater check and "the parts became more expensive". I was glad I remembered the 1st estimate and asked. They were forced to call their office and confirmed that the price of the valves was indeed $75 which brought the price down to the original estimate. The work was done professionally though, it completely fixed the problem and the area was left clean. So overall I would recommend their quality but pay close attention to the pricing and make sure you write down the name of the person who gives you the estimate.

This was about 2 years ago when I had purchase the Big Deal. They did a fine job and they were on time. They also were professional.

I'm a little late writing this. The worker was on time, courteous, and appropriately dressed. Explained all work to be completed(heating and AC maintenance/check) and began working. Work took about an hour and a half if I remember correctly. Upon completion, worker provided a list of all items checked and work completed. I'm very pleased with the experience.

Jim arrived promptly and began servicing the boiler. After a short period of time he came upstairs and asked how how long it had been since I had it serviced as there was a large build-up of sludge in the line. I told him it was done annually. He flushed out the line and spent approximately 75 mins for the service. My bill was $104.00, the original price quoted. Given the service took longer than expected I anticipated a higher bill and was pleasantly surprised at the figure. Jim is a good representative for Metro as his demeanor is a blend of professionalism, friendliness, and expertise. I will use Metro again and would recommend this company to others.

the tech called to confirm the appointment time, and arrived about half an hour early. He called to see if I was available earlier, and I was able to accommodate his request. He explained his work as he went through the check up.

They gave me a price to replace the part was really high. I ended up buying the part and doing the work myself. After the estimate they called me back three days later and cut the price in half. I found this to be shady.

The technician did an outstanding, excellent job. They are experts in their field and they really know what they're doing. They fix it right the first time. They're very knowledgable, polite, and on time. I would recommend them.

As far I know, the work they did was just fine. My A/C has been working fine. The work was done so long ago I do not remember the specific details. I was pleased though.

First of all: our service tech, Rick, was amazing! We have zoned heating/ cooling, so two furnaces in the home: one in the basement and another on the second floor. When I tried to turn on the upstairs furnace, it made a terrible noise (like handfulls of pebbles being thrown through the mechanism and duct work). The basement furnace just needed a yearly sweep/ didn't have any issues. I called Metro just before 5:00pm. Since only one of our furnaces was having issues and we still had a heat source (also, it wasn't terribly cold), our call wasn't an emergency. But they still had someone there by noon the next day, which was awesome. Both furnaces were swept, cleaned and fixed up quickly and without any issues. Considering he was here for almost two hours, and the amount of work he did, I think the price was great ($133 total). It turned out that the noise coming from our 2nd floor furnace was just debris from the giant oak tree above our roof, where the furnace vents. The price quote for Rick's solution (install a 90 degree exhaust pipe tip on the roof instead of the straight pipe that's up there now) was also very reasonable- it's also a great idea. I was very impressed with the service all-around, and the technician who came to our house was great. I will be using this company every year.

The experience was great. Simon, the service technician, was actually there a few minutes early. He was very nice and answered all of my questions. The entire service appointment took just over an hour and everything seems to be in working order. He told me to call if I had any issues or needed additional services. i am very happy with my experience with Metro, i will definitely use them again..

It was great. They came and checked the issue as promised. They did a thurough A/C inspection. They were prompt and knowledgeable.

I paid for the Big Deal on Angie's List and immediately sent them an email from the link on the deal. After 24 hours, I sent another email. After another 24 hours I finally called them since I had paid already for the service. The woman who answered the phone promptly told me they would not come "way out there" to do the work. She treated me like I was ridiculous for even thinking that. I do not live in country mind you. I told her I had already paid for the service. She told me I had to take that up with Angie's List and hung up on me.

I chose this company because they were on Angies List. I was not disappointed. This is a family owned business and they were very thorough in my furnace inspection. They also gave me quotes on a new furnace and air conditioner. They gave me detailed explanations on the current condition of my furnace and air conditioner and put in my furnace filter in a hard to reach location due to the compact size of my unit. Both father and son were pleasant and I will use them again in the future.

From the initial site survey to the installation cleanup Metro was extremely professional, prompt and efficient. Of the four vendors we had quote the job, Metro was clearly the most responsive and knowledgeable with a “no nonsense” approach. The quote Metro rendered was competitive and though we did not choose to purchase all of the worked quoted, Metro honored all the process quoted. Installation was incredibly well organized and efficient and the cleanup was first rate. The units installed have worked very well for our home and we have been very pleased with our decision to use Metro. Highly recommended!

Air conditioning stopped in the middle of the hottest days of the summer. Metro made service call next day. Service person was very professional and outlined our options for a 20 plus year old heating and cooling system. Although not pressured in any way, we elected to replace the entire system with a much more energy efficient system. Despite their huge workload, they were able to complete entire installation in two days. Price quoted for the entire system which icludes yearly service and monitoring was thousands less than I expected to have to pay. All personel were polite, intelligent, and competent. System required tuning after the installation and this was also done quickly and competently. Couldn't think of a thing they could do to improve.

Quick response to initial inquiry and appointment within a few days. Work done was as advertised. No hesitation whatsoever to call them again.

I have heating in the floor and forced air cooking and heating combined. Metro Heating and Cooling gave me a price to bring everything up to grade, starting in November. After the contract price was agreed and paid they have been trying to bill me for additional services. The system still doesn't work the way it should. Other experts have come in and checked it and there were a lot of things that weren't done correctly. Which is going to cost me a lot of money to get redone. I have had no success in getting any resolution. It took them Novermber to March to do what they did, and now they are just sending me more bills. They have a really bad attitude, too.

We recently purchased this house with a home warranty. In May, the Mitsubishi Split Unit Wall Mount A/C stopped cooling. The home warranty people sent out their contract HVAC company (AirPro). After complaining about house numbers and snide remarks about the neighborhood, the technician took a few minutes to look at the two units and did we have a ladder and could we go back and forth to turn on/off the third floor unit. He then did nothing more than add coolant to the system. It was ridiculous because it was obvious he just wanted to out of the house and not interested a system diagnostic. We lost cooling two months later and did not use the warranty company...instead we called Metro Heating and Cooling based on their Angie's List rating. Our experience with their technician, Simon, couldn't have been better. His first visit he climbed around and discovered a leak in the line. He returned the next day with an assistant and spent all the time he needed to do a thorough job. That included draining the line, recalibrating the system, and all the other technical stuff. When he presented the bill, he described all he did and why it was an all day job. The price was reasonable and Simon a true professional. Will recommend this company to family and friends.

They were the one with the highest rating on Angie’s List that's why we chose them. They were here on time. They quickly addressed and serviced the problem we were experiencing. Everything was very good, and so far the air-conditioning is running much better since they left.
