Tom was courteous and incredibly helpful. he took the time to explain clearly the options, he tried to find ways to enhance savings, and in the end I was very pleased with the quote. However, we only need the extra A/C upstairs for a couple of summer months and so the money spent didn't seem worth it and we didn't have the work done. However, I would highly recommend Tom and Metro Cooling.

They took their time and the price was reasonable. They did good and addressed all the concerns.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon for Metro Heating & Cooling. His assessment was incorrect. It turns out that we were putting out roughly 300 times the legal limit of carbon monoxide into our home. Because they didn't test for that which was a part of what we discussed with them, we ended up having to pay for that ourselves instead of having this house taken care of. I wouldn't use them a gain, I wouldn't recommend them. He was friendly enough but I don't think he has a clue of what he was talking about.

I have used Metro for about 15 years. I have always been pleased with their prompt assistance and good service. If you have a maintenance agreement, they call you to schedule check-ups on both the furnace and air conditioning system. Unless there are parts to be replaced or other needs not covered by the agreement, the cost is nothing or negligible. The service people are courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. I would definitely recommend them.

For several days we were hearing a sloshing water sound coming from some pipes in the basement which sounded like they were possibly running into the furnace unit. Wasn't sure if I should contact a plumber or someone else, so I called a few heating and cooling places. Several places did not bother to call back, but Metro heating and cooling did respond and came out as scheduled to check it out. The gentleman who came determined the sloshing sound was actually coming from our radon pipe and it was not the furnace, so although the issue wasn't something he could fix, he was helpful in determining what it was and was nice enough to answer other questions about the furnace I had since he was there. Again, although he did not fix anything I still had to pay the $88.00 visit fee which I felt was a bit high for something that took about 10 min of his time. I would however still use them for future heating or cooling needs.

Ariived on time and did a thorough job.

No complaints. Prompt and courteous, very professional. I have an annual maintenance agreement with them, and haven't had any problems. I like that the maintenance plan never goes up in price, and gets you discounts on parts/service if needed.

The prices at Metro Heating & Cooling Inc. were lower than other companies around here. He's very good. It needs an adjustment and he's coming back next week to do that. He is prompt, neat and not overpriced.

It was a great experience. Technicians were helpful and professional. They checked to make sure everything was running smoothly and showed me how everything works. We just bought the house and needed some instruction.

The job went great. The technicians did what they needed to do quickly and efficiently. They did high quality work and I would definitely use them again in the future.

Incredible job. Three days from start to finish and could not be happier with system - and price was truly an unbelievable value.

I was surprised when the technician came up to tell me that he had done additional work and what the new charges would be. I believe that any additional work should be discussed before performed. He replaced an ignitor that he felt would need to be replaced in the coming season.

They had an appointment that they tried and worked for me. That was probably the best thing since I needed somebody to take a look at it. Apparently they changed the furnace filter and that was not included in the Big Deal but I did not know that so I had to get a bill for $70 for the filter. I was not very happy about that. I purchased the Big Deal so that somebody would come and look at it and I wish it would be a little more upfront on what is included. The guy who was there said that it was not there but he just did it and charged me for it. The overall price was pretty good and it would have been fine and we have furnace filters sitting next to the furnace but he put in one of theirs and I thought it was included in the deal. He did not say anything about it and I did not ask. When it came down to paying I had to and it cost me three times the cost of a regular filter. I will not use them again.

What was remarkable about Metro is that two other firms which I called wanted to replace the system versus the simple 15 minute repair. You can trust Metro and I will absolutely use and recommend them. Stay away from that Bridgeville firm with the guy's picture on the back of the truck. They were one of the firms who didn't take a good luck at the problem, just offered to sell me on something new.

I am happy with them. They call and make appointments Spring and Winter so I don't have to remember to call.

Scheduled service when I was off work, showed up on time, did the work. I had bought the special deal coupon for the second year running. Very professional & polite.

We wanted an annual check-up on the boiler and radiators in our rental property. The boiler is extremely old and everyone that sees it can't believe that something so old is still running. Anyway, we have it checked annually by another company and aren't yet ready to replace it. I saw the deal from Metro and thought that I would give them a try. The Metro service man dealt directly with the tenant which was a major mistake. He told my tenant that the boiler was a health hazard because it has asbestos (side note is that the asbestos is not disturbed and not cracked) and that it needed to be replaced immediately. He then walked out without doing the service that I had paid for from Angie's list. He called me from his van to report his very dramatic findings and I asked if he did the work I paid for to which he replied "no." I asked him to please go back in and take care of the water levels in the radiators. He didn't even do that right and a serviceman had to come out with a key the following day to stop the dripping from the radiator. Months later that doomed boiler is still running well and got us through another winter. I spoke to the owner to inform him of the terrible experience that we had with this particular employee and he was apologetic and said that he would get this employee training for soft skills. That training definitely should have happened before sending him out into the field. In the meantime, I had to purchase additional liability coverage just in case the seed was planted for my tenant to sue. Because of this employee, I would not recommend Metro and I would not use them again.

Tech performed an inspection and maintenance checks of my old furnace. Very professional and explained what he was doing and showed areas of furnace that he thought I should be aware of. Entire process took a little less than an hour. Would definitely use them again.

Tom, the owener came out on a Thursday, check the unit and provided an estimate. I told him I would check with my husband and get back with him. When I called to accept the estimate and he told me he would call me back with a date and time. He call back shortly thereafter and told me since it was going to be in the 90's the following day, he would be there at 9:00 AM and be done by 2:00 PM. I had to have someone come to the house, so this was fine for me. They showed up at about 9:30 AM and were completely done and gone by 12:00 PM. The area of work was completely clean both inside and out and the house was cooling perfectly. They were true to their word and the work was done to specifications. Great job.

They technician was very nice and helpful. He took the broken pump out of the casing and replaced it which ended up saving me a lot of money in the end. He took special care to write that on my receipt so that if there's a problem in the future they can see that the new part is in the old casing. The new pump cost about $300; the remaining cost was for the service call.

He did do the work that the coupon was for and then he told us we needed a filter and so we got the filter. He was nice. He told us the reason for the temperature in the rooms was due to the way the duct work had been installed.

I phoned for an emergency repair because out boiler's pilot light went out the first cold day of the year. I phoned 3 or 4 places to come out and help with no luck. I then checked Angie's list and contacted Metro heating. Called them and they said they would have someone out within two hours. They were right on time. I also purchased a coupon for a discounted furnace cleaning on Angie's list. When the technician arrived he asked if I wanted to learn how to light the pilot light (I did) and was very good in explaining to me the dos and don'ts of lighting a pilot light. The pilot light would not stay lit so the technician replaced the thermocouple which fixed the problem. The technician then spent quite a bit of time cleaning the furnace and removing some parts so he could get to the back and clean thoroughly. We've had our furnace cleaned before but I don't think anyone has done as thorough a job. I received the bill, wrote a check, and the technician left. What really impressed me was a couple of weeks later I received my uncashed check back with a new invoice that was less than the invoice I paid. It appears I didn't get the credit for the Angie's List coupon I purchased that same day so Metro returned my check. I was blown away by their honesty as I hadn't noticed the mistake. Will definitely use them next time our boiler needs to be serviced or replaced.
