Matt Mertz Plumbing Trenchless Sewer Repair Expert

Tree roots had infiltrated our 45-year old terra cotta sewer line. It was repaired with a trenceless sewer system inside the existing line. Only a small amount of excavation was required. .We were impressed by Matt Mertz Plumbing's work. Very professional. Everyone was knowledgeable and easy to work with.

We had an excellent experience with Matt Mertz Plumbing! Don Mertz performed the majority of the repairs and for several hours of a few days of work, we also met another member of the Mertz family, Heather, who was as professional and hard working as Don. Mertz Plumbing did and outstanding job and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of their work. We would be very happy to hire Don again for any future job that we may require because it's very apparent that he has vast knowledge and experience. Plus, he's just a really great guy!

I had recent waterproofing service completed in my basement. Unfortunately, the downspout was clogged - for the drainage. I read the reviews about the company and was pleased to give them a try. Technician EARL called before coming and he worked laboriously to open the drain! Consequently, I am grateful for an unclogged downspout - within an hour.

The plumber was efficient, proficient, friendly and worked extremely hard to unclog our toilet and exit pipe leading out of our home.

I had a water leak coming from the ceiling of my garage and I was getting water in both my garage and laundry room. The leak did not seem big but the pond of water looked significant. I had an appointment with another plumbing company that morning, but they kept delaying all day. I was concern about how bad was the leak and the damage that it may have been causing so I called Matt Mertz Plumbing that night. They were upfront about the additional charge for emergencies and it seemed a fair price to me. Later I got a call from Tim from Mertz to let me know when he was coming. He was very professional and attentive to my concerns. He was able to find a pinhole leak behind the ceiling and fix it in no time. After cleaning up he also gave me some additional recommendations given the state of the pipes at my home that I plan to follow up on. I am really please with them, from how my initial call was handled to the actual work done. I definitely plan to call them again in the future when we need plumbing services

Every person I worked with, starting from the plumbers who came to clear the drain, give estimates for the permanent repair and the people who actually did the drain line replacement was extremely courteous and professional. They also did a great job cleaning up after their work. It's almost been a year since they replaced the line and we haven't had any sewer issues!

I called and expected to be told it would take a few days for them to be able to make it out. I was pleasantly surprised when they said they could come out later the same afternoon. They arrived when they said they would be there and the service man was very knowledgeable and personable. He was quickly able to diagnose what the problems were with both the hot water tank and the toilet. He had all of the parts and had us all fixed up within an hour. The price for parts and labor was less than I expected. While he was here, I also asked him to take a look at another plumbing issue that we had going on to give an opinion for the amount of work that might be entailed in getting it corrected. He was very honest with me, and set realistic expectations. I am very happy with the service that we received from Matt Mertz plumbing. We will definitely use them again in the future for our plumbing needs. Thank you for a wonderful service experience!

My sewer temporarily backed up into basement while doing laundry on a Sunday evening. A panicked call to MMP was answered professionally and very helpfully with a promise to have someone at my home the following morning. The technician arrived as planned on time at 8am and quickly found the problem outside and unclogged my drain in less than a half hour. The underlying cause of the clog was shown to me by camera and we have made plans to fix the issue. I was given a clear, fair quote with explanation of the planned repair. Rarely do you find the type of professional service and level of expertise that my technician displayed. He was exceptionally competent and friendly. The charge for service was not up charged with any emergency fee. From my initial call to the completion of my service visit I was impressed. Thanks MMP.

It went much better than we had feared. We were very impressed and happy about their work. It required digging a trench through our front yard. Going by brute force it would have required tearing up the walkway and concrete steps, but they found a creative solution to bypass those. Saved us a lot of hassle - and money! They were efficient and professional, and on time. Service was restored amazingly quickly-- we were out of water only for one day. They put the front yard back together beautifully, so that just a few days later it almost looked like nothing ever happened. Also, in the basement inside the house they kept disruption to a minimum, and cleaned up very nicely after completion of the work. We highly recommend them for such emergency work.

Submitted a request for a quote via Angie’s List. No one ever called or emailed. This happened with the three other companies I contacted via Angie’s List, one of whom I has done multiple projects for me. Is the issue the contractor? Or Angie’s?

Barry and Eric G. did an excellent job installing our furnace and central air conditioner. They arrived promptly on time, were very friendly and knowledgeable, laid protection on our carpeting, worked at a good pace, finished the job in a timely manner and cleaned the area when they were finished. We will definitely use Matt Mertz Plumbing in the future for all our plumbing and HVAC needs.

Zero. WARNING DO NOT CALL THEM. This is the first time I ever posted a review of anything. Please do not call this company. Save yourself the aggravation and the complete unprofessional and total disregard for any level of business ethics. The worst experience I ever had with any service company ever. I wish I never called them.

WE tried to replace the bathroom faucet with a new one because the drain broke apart. Well... that didn't go to well?!!!. The leak from the bathroom plumbing escalated. Not only was the original drain cracked we believe all the plumbing and now the new faucet was faulty.. after several e mail messages and speaking with Bob, I got an appointment for that day... Rob came out asset the situation, took most of the plumbing apart and replaced it with new and BETTER parts than was originally installed. So lesson learned ... don't try to attempt plumbing on your own... You need professional to do the job especially Rob who knew exactly what to do... Thank you..

Excellent. Initially had Brian come out to snake a clogged downspout. All 3 downspouts clogged which was too much for a snake. Chris came out to powerblast; pipes still clogged and water coming up from the deck. Needed the above work done which was expertly done by Ron, Erik and Anthony. They couldn’t have been nicer. Explained everything they were going to do clearly and encouraged questions. They worked quickly and team work with them was evident despite the temperatures in the 90’s. It was a huge job and despite my anxiety at 1st, that quickly dissipated as the work was being done. Great job guys! It was a pleasure getting to know you all and thank you for your hard work. Well done!

The work went exactly as Matt Mertz said it would. They were here for three days opening the ground and running a camera in to find the problem. They proceeded to reline the sewer line were it had separated, refilled the hole, and put the yard back together. Every employee was very professional and knew exactly what should be done. They guaranteed the work for a full ten years but said it would last much longer. We are extremely happy that we hired Matt Mertz to do this job and would definitely hire them again.

Was a little late, but called to let me know. Once here did video of drain and all was well. Needed to arguer toilets. Helped to locate drain breather that a landscaper covered. Price was as quoted with coupon..

Perfectly, if any plumbing emergency can be spoken in the same breath as perfect! Our plumber was prompt, clearly explained what was happening, did the repair and cleaned up after. No complaints, rather kudos and I'll both recommend and use them again

The crew arrived on the scheduled day and called ahead to let us know they were coming and what time they would arrive. They were polite, explained everything and had the job done in 2 days. They cleaned up after. They answered all my questions. Fabulous job! I would definitely hire them again!
