Matt Mertz Plumbing Trenchless Sewer Repair Expert

The plumber, Brian, called when he arrived, which was pretty early in the morning, about 8am. He reviewed the work I needed done and explained what he would do. He tackled the stationary tub first, breaking up the concerete tub and hauling it out. He then installed the new stationary tub and hooked it up to the existing plumbing. Lastly he cut out the plumbing stack that needed replaced and replaced it with new piping. We tested everything to ensure no leaks and functioning properly. He did a great job cleaning up, nothing left behind.

Everyone at Matt Mertz Plumbing was professional and friendly. We were informed of what needed to be done and quoted a price and a start date. The excavation was in a walkway between our home and the next unit and the sidewalk in front. The repairs were done by Shawn and Nate. They answered all our questions and explained everything they were doing. They showed great care while excavating and back-filling the trench. They were able to separate the lines until they reached a larger pipe. Shawn and Nate worked tirelessly and efficiently. The job was finished in less time than expected and had no problem passing inspection. I would definitely call Matt Mertz Plumbing for any plumbing work I needed done.

Went very well. Worker called because he was stuck in traffic and running late. He arrived, did the work and left. Sink works great, bill was extremely reasonable and Brian was very professional in his work performance.

Jason was absolutely fabulous. Fix the toilet and when I spoke about an issue I was having with the bathtub he also fix that. Matt Mertz is the only call I will ever make for plumbing and anything else they do.

On a Sunday morning, I heard water running near at my main shut off in my house. No water was on in the house, and there were no signs of water/flooding in my house. I contacted Matt Mertz plumbing and they properly diagnosed the issue over the phone, gave me instructions to start to address the situation (saving me the Sunday service call cost since they did it over the phone) and set up a free estimate for the following day. On Monday, they arrived promptly at the time that they said they would, were professional and extremely helpful during the estimate. As soon as all of the issues were identified, they set up an appointment for repairs the following day. Again, all of the employees of the company that we came in contact with were nothing but professional, polite, and extremely skilled at their job. The work to replace the line turned out to be much more involved than was expected. Despite needing to continually re-adjust and come up with new plans to correct the situation, the crew was able to replace the water line, working well into the early evening to complete the work. The next day, they returned (at their time they said they would), filled the trench and cleaned up the yard as much as possible. After completion of the work and seeing how much more involved the issue, it was obvious the quoted price was an very good deal and their work was worth more than their cost. I would highly recommend them for plumbing issue or service that you might need. I could not be more happy with the service that I received from them.

They fixed the clog fast. Chris was great about explaining the problem. It took less than the 2hrs scheduled.

We were very pleased with all aspects of the project. The workers were all polite and diligent. His men spent many hours couched into the tiny cave under the porch. I have never seen a crew work as hard and fast as theirs. They stayed with the project with a full team continuously until it was completed and cleaned up so there was no evidence of the work. I believe we saved many thousands of dollars by lining the old 6 inch sewer rather than tearing up and reconstructing our patio (Maryland stone on concrete slab) and hill side to run a new sewer.

Brian and joe came promptly and did a very nice job replacing a broken toilet flange and installing a new toilet. One exposed floor tile chipped a little bit, but there already was a crack so I can't really complain. Price pretty well matched what I was quoted. Will use Matt Mertz plumbing again.

They were great I would recommend them to anyone. Very professional and polite. With no doubt I would use them again.

Great, punctual, professional and trustworthy

Since they had done a good job earlier in the month with an external drain, I called Mertz and was told they could respond the same day, but it would be at emergency rates. It seemed a little steep at $250/hour, but my need was great so I agreed and Brian Tarr was there in about an hour, which was impressive. He clearly knew what he was doing and was able to unblock the sewer line in about half an hour. He was personable and took care to avoid further mess in the basement. He accepted the $15 Angie's list coupon which made the price seem slightly better.

Adam unblocked the drain quickly. He was personable and helped me put the downspout back in place after the drain work was complete.

Unquestionably an outstanding and efficient bathroom teardown and reinstall. Will never, ever work with another plumber or company. Mertz delivers what they promise.

Great. They got in to see us in a few days (non-emergency), came exactly at the time given, and then pointed out that the fix was way less involved than I was predicting. Will definitely use again as the need arises.

I bought a new dryer from Home Depot and when it was delivered it couldn't be hooked up because of my gas line. I contacted Matt Mertz Plumbing on Wednesday and they said they could send someone Saturday. I was unavailable Saturday so we set up an appointment for Sunday. The plumber, Brian Tarr called and said he was running early and asked if that was OK. Of course it was. Brian Tarr arrived and extended the gas line and connected the dryer. He was fast and very efficient. Brian Tarr did a great job. I would highly recommend Matt Mertz Plumbing as well as Brian Tarr. What a great job. Also, there was no extra charge for coming out on a Sunday. Kudos to this company and their employee.

After the initial shock of accessing the shower fixture through my closet wall, the work went well. The final wall opening size allowed me to use a standard plastic access panel, for future use.

Excellent. This was an emergency repair. A water pipe in our basement failed. There was running water from the pipe which was in the basement ceiling leaking through a vent in our air conditioner. The house water supply had to be shut off to stop the leak. I called Matt Metz Plumbing and in 15 minutes Chris arrived. He quickly looked everything over, a total Pro. He fixed the pipe, tested the waterline and cleaned up. I asked for an estimate to replace our water line as Chris showed me the failed pipe and estimated the pipe may be 100 years old. Chris quickly looked at all of our pipes and wrote up the estimate. If you need a plumber, Chris at Matt Mertz Plumbing is the man.
