It was a good. There haven't been any problems. I would recommend them.

To continue from above, we were going to go with them anyhow if they would split the difference with us (we figured everyone makes a mistake once in a while) but they wouldn't do it. We gave them another chance for the same project a little over a year later and the price was even higher that time. As far as the window project that we did use them for we found the installers to be great. They were very neat and very carefull. They completed everything in one day. We got 17 new windows and new sliding glass doors. Although we wouldn't use them again it's not because of the quality of their product or installers, it's because of their pricing system and sales approach.

They provided great service. I was pleased.

We had another company visit us and when the Legacy Remodeling salesman called on us he had several cost savings suggestions as well as different ideas on window and door types we had not considered. The installers were very professional, completed the work in a timely manner and we were extremely pleased with the work. One window screen had a small tear in it - the installer ordered a new screen and it was recently delivered to the house and installed. I would highly recomend this comapny if you have doors or windows to be installed.

The whole job went perfectly.

Everything went smoothly despite the heat & humidity (and occasional rain showers) while they were working. The original estimate was for one, possibly 1½ days - it took the 1½ days. The crew of three was very professional, easy to get along with, answered my questions willingly, and thoroughly cleaned up all the debris at the completion of the job. Because of personal commitments there weren't able to start as early as possible on the 2nd day, but they explained that the day before so there were no surprises. The work is very professional looking and I have no complaints.

I would not deal with this vendor, ever. His focus on the insurance issue rather than the roof replacement made me feel very uneasy about what I might be getting into had I contracted with this vendor.

Installer was prompt, professional and neat. Door came a month sooner than we had anticipated. It is a quality product with a lifetime warranty. Legacy was easy to deal with. I would use them again for future work.

I had called and they were antsy to give me an estimate. The guy finally came, didn't give me an estimate and then I never heard from him again after that.

Legacy had a table set up at Sam's Club, and I could fill out a form to enter a sweepstakes. I explained the variety of work needed, and the woman there took notes, but said she was just a sales rep.Last week I got a call to set up an appointment, which was to be for this evening (May 10). They insisted that both my husband and me should be available. I requested a 7:30 pm appointment, but was told that was "too late" so I agreed to 7 pm. I was told that I would get a call confirming the appointment schedule.Yesterday I got a call confirming the "6 o'clock" appointment. I said, no, it was supposed to be for 7 pm because that's what *Legacy* had wanted and that I had originally requested a later timeslot. I warned them that my husband didn't always get home from work on time, especially because he had major meetings scheduled this week. I was asked if we wanted to reschedule, but I said no -- but that the person being sent out might have to wait a few minutes if my husband was running late.This evening I had to run out to the grocery store last minute. There was a car in my driveway (not a truck with a ladder -- an SUV). It was 10 of 6. I was a little torqued and probably made it more than abundantly clear, *especially* since I had *thought* I had confirmed the originally scheduled 7 pm time the day before, having to correct the person on the phone (who had it written down for 6). I was again asked if i wanted to reschedule and I said no, but he'd just have to wait till 7 and hope my husband (who I wasn't able to get hold of) got home by then. He backed out my driveway and when I pulled out he was parked in front of my house. A few minutes later he was parked on the other side of the street. My husband got home about a quarter to 7. I told him what had happened and he went out to see if the guy was still there. No SUV in sight. No callback (as of about 8:30 pm) from Legacy.At the table in Sam's Club I was told that Legacy had an A rating on Angie's list (they don't). I was also told that they were given an award in 2009 by the BBB -- apparently this didn't happen in 2010 or 2011, and I'm starting to wonder why not... (okay, maybe I'm not at this point). I noticed in reading the reviews that every time they got a poor review their response was to get pissy about it I have no doubt this will happen again this time in response to my review (and their previous responses to complaints on Angies's List was *part* of the reason for being given a poor rating for professionalism).The fact that they can't follow simple instructions (appointment at 7 pm, you may have to wait a few minutes) bothers me -- especially since *they* set the initial time. The fact that the left hand apparently doesn't know what the right hand is doing bothers me even more -- I reiterated the time schedule *they* had set to the person on the phone on Wednesday (and reminded them of that fact), which was apparently *not* passed along. The fact that a guy who is supposed to be doing an estimate on roof repairs shows up with out a ladder? YMMV (but you've been warned....)I probably should have had the guy call the dispatcher *on the spot* when he first showed up to say "the homeowner says the appointment is for 7 pm". (My bad. But I really *did* have to run to the store and back). Apparently Legacy isn't hurting for business, because they're sure not working too hard to get ours....

They were excellent at what they did. They cleaned up and showed up on time. They were professional, and they did an excellent job. When I scheduled the appointment, they were very courteous. I like them because they have individual expertise. They do various things, but if you want siding, they send people who specialize in siding. If you need windows, they can send window people.

They installed a new type of triple glazed windows, which has heat repellent on both sides so it doesn’t over heat in the summer. I am sitting in a room that is 45 feet long and almost the whole wall facing south is a window. This room was a real heat zone until they replaced the window in it. It is more comfortable now. One of the windows was broken, they replaced it, and that broke, so they are going to be replacing it again. Therefore, I have no complaints with anything they did. Their pricing did seem reasonable and fair to me although, I didn’t do too much competitive bidding. It just so happened that they were doing an interesting work in the neighborhood and those people were satisfied too, so I followed up on that and decided to use them. I have no complaints with the quality of work they did for me. They came when they said they would. When they were finishing the installation, they called to indicate that the replacement window was available. When I discovered that the replacement had broken during installation, I called them and they sent somebody out right away. They are now in the process of ordering a replacement for that, at their expense and not at my expense. We have the other half of the house left to put in windows and we would use them in the future.

Everything went fine. We had used them in the past. They are pretty easy to work with. They do many things. They do good work and I don't know if they are the least expensive game in town, but they give you a good product. The doors that they installed are still working fine.

We met a sales associate from Legacy at the Home Show, In the spring I scheduled an appointment with a sales associate to come to my home to provide a bid. The day of the appointment I received a phone call from Legacy's office stating that the associate was tied up on another appointment and would not be able to make it to our house that day and would I like to reschedule. I said, yes, we selected a day and time. I was then asked if I had a husband and what his name was, I thought it odd but gave the information. I was asked if he would be available for the appointment and I said yes. The morning of the appointment I received a reminder phone call that the sales associate would be coming to my home and I said yes, I remembered and was waiting. I was then asked if my husband was home as well. He was not, because he had gotten called into work overtime that day. I was then told I would have to reschedule the appointment for when my husband was available. Absolutely astonished by this I didn't know what to say, but of course, related the situation to my husband when he got home and asked about the appointment. His response (mine too) was do not call them again, we'll find someone else. We found another company through Angie's list, who was perfectly fine dealing with me, and they did a fabulous job. I was not going to write this review until I saw the review written by a woman in January 2011. I needed to back her up and confirm that the same situation happened to me.

The guy was really good and nice, we just decided to go with another company. There was nothing wrong with them. We thought he did a good job. He was here twice.

They were professional. Their punctuality was great. I probably would use them in the future.

This company sub contracts all their work, so the quality you get is hit-or-miss. We, unfortunately, got many misses. Our roof lasted 3 years. The siding started falling off the house with the first moderate storm. We've had to have siding replaced 8 times. Lights were installed without junction boxes. The list goes on and on. Do not walk; run away from this contractor.

Day 1 Jeff and his crew of 3 arrived promptly. They immediately got to work by setting up and discussing the process to me. I knew exactly what to expect. They covered all the areas that were involved with drop cloths to proctect the furniture and floor from damage by dust and their work boots. They were non stop when working and only stopped long enough to eat a sandwhich (which they did by standing). I had to leave and left them there to lock up without me (which was done perfectly). Everything was left tidy and in order for the next day of work. They returned as scheduled (on time). They were back on the job and worked diligently. They needed to come back for the 3rd day for part of the day and finished and spent a great deal of time cleaning up the area. I am thrilled with the quality of their work. EXCELLENT JOB, Jeff!!!

It was okay; some of it was good and some was bad. I was actually pleased with the work they did. The only thing was that it took them so long to finish the work. I wanted them done because we were going on vacation. It didn't get done until three months later. That was the only thing I was upset about. They did the work and they did a good job on the insulation and everything is great. I got good customer service but they were very non-prompt about getting things done. Some of it was me because I wasn't sure what to buy such as the basement heat. They said if I bought it, they would put it in. They said it would cost more for them to bring it. They kind of told me what to buy but I didn't know how much. On both parts it was a delay but it was irritating because they didn't tell me how much to buy. Once they came and did the work, they did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves and I am very pleased with the baseboard heating. The area is warm and we are using it as an area in the home. It used to just be storage. The price was very good for what I received. They did come when they said they would. I would use them again.

Ken the owner was always available and they did a fantastic job overall. It was a difficult house to do and they still did great.

Legacy should have set the expectation that their first visit to our house would be a sales pitch. At the Pgh Home & Garden show a Legacy marketing rep scheduled someone to measure our doors and provide a quote the next day which was Saturday (impressively quick). At least that's what we were told would happen. The person arrived late and started going through a scripted sales pitch with company history, quality of product, etc. After 45 minutes we asked if he was going to meaure the doors because we had another commitment that day. He wanted us to commit to Legacy before measuring and providing an estimate. He said that prices would be going up very soon and we should make our decision quickly. We didn't appreciate the pushiness and lack of response to our needs and expectations (to measure the door and provide a quote). I can't speak to the quality of Legacy's product and installation, but they lost me as a customer with this experience. The sales person called the next week with a ballpark cost which was much higher than the other vendors we contacted.

Much of the quality of the was fine. The ceramic floor in the basement was horrible and we had to fight with the foreman for months to have the issue resolved. We ended up resolving the issue by having to contact the owner - he reimbursed us a small amount and we had to make the fix - replacing the ceramic floor in the bathroom. The big issue with this company is the foreman running the jobs. Because our house is not as expensive as others he decided not to put as much effort in the final product in the bathroom. The remainder of the job was fine but would not work with them again because of a lack of trust of the foreman.

I had called KC Construction for a roofing estimate after finding very good reports on Angie's list.John from KC told me that we would have to wait until the snow was gone from the roof before giving an accurate estimate. About two days later someone from Legacy knocked on my door. They had been canvasing my neighborhood so I thought that a second estimate would be a good idea. A representative from Legacy came by a few days later. I gave him the measurements and told him that it was not a normal roofing job because in addition to roofing felt, drip edge and shingles I needed to have the sheathing (decking) replaced as well. I've done this kind of work myself in the past, so I estimated the cost at about $15,000 .Their first estimate came in at $24,000, then after a call to the boss it was dropped to $22,000. I told them that I would think about it. A week or so later my roof was clear on snow and representatives from KC Construction came to my door. They walked the roof and took measurements and then we discussed the job. I told them that I was also interested in new rain gutters. Their estimate included superior materials; 3/4" sheathing instead of 7/16" and 30 year dimensional shingles instead of standard 3 tab shingles. They also added the gutters and came in with an estimate of $15,550. I went with KC Construction. I'm happy with the job they did and especially the price.

I called to get an estimate for a new roof on my house. I spoke with 2 people I believe. They asked me if I had a husband and what his name was so I told then his name. Then I went ahead and scheduled the estimate.. They told me that they could only do 10am and 2pm so I took 2pm. When the man showed up on the day of the estimate he was a good 20 minutes early and that is bad because what If I was planning on 2pm and was not home yet.. I was home and the guy came to the front door. Asked where my husband was and when I told him that he was meeting with me and that I am the one that has been getting all the estimate he then told me he doesn't give estimate to women and turn around and left!! I said really and he said oh yes only to your husband! I could not believe that! it was like I was back in the times when women are nothing.. or could not do anything without the mans approval I will never call this company again!!!!

The sales visit was very informative with respect to the quality of the windows, features, warranty, etc. I did not like the pricing approach which started with a standard list price and applied discounts for region and several other factors to arrive at a final price. Once we made a decision the scheduling of installation was very easy, the final measurements were done quickly and at the time stated, and the installation was done in less time than promised. Installation was very professional and the installers were thorough in both the work and the cleaning of the work area. Everyone we dealt with from the salesperson to the installers to the people on the phone were very courteous and focussed on customer service. Time will tell if the installation and product quality are both what they seem. We've only had the windows for a couple months and I want to see how they live up the promise of energy efficiency.
