Description of Work: It never went anywhere. I bought the BigDeal and we (Angie's List and me) were not able to get a response from the service provider.

Description of Work: He has made no effort to contact me and his voicemail is always full. Seems to have no interest in upholding coupon purchase.

Description of Work: The initial call and setting up the appointment went well. The lady was very nice and accommodating to my schedule - very pleasant. The tech that came out was also very nice and pleasant. The problem came when he realized that my main unit was not in the attic with the air ducts, but was on top of the roof of a 2-story building. After calling his office, he said they would discuss whether they had ladders tall enough for our roof, and his office manager would call me about it. She did call 2 days later to say that they could not help me, they were so sorry, and they realized that they need to clarify in their add that they only do residential with units on the ground. She said she would contact Angie's to let them know of the problem and that Angie's would contact me. I heard from Angie's 4 days later about filling out this form. He also sent a list of other a/c companies that I might use. On that list, almost all of them work only residential and only one had a deal close to what I had with Brazos. I haven't called them yet to see if they can "leap tall buildings in a single bound...". My other problem is that I took off work for this time and don't really have another day coming any time soon. I was very disappointed with my 1st time to use Angie's List. My friends say it's the best thing in the world. Hope I can say that someday...

Description of Work: I spoke with the provider when I purchased the big deal and he said he services my area. The inter was still here so we delayed until better weather came. Now after many efforts to reach the provider I am getting no response. The last time I spoke with him he said he would call me back in two days to set the appointment. Now months later I cannot reach in in any way.

Description of Work: I just sent an email to J.P. May construction after not receiving a response to my initial phone call (still no email response). When I first called I was asked if this was for the Angies List BIG deal and when I answered yes, the line went dead. I called back and was told that I would be contacted and have not had a return phone call since May 13th / 14th!

Description of Work: Spoke with service provider 2 times and the other calls I made went to his voicemail. He did return a call once. And one time he even answered his cell! I also emailed him. No response. I could never get him to commit to a date to perform the service I'd paid for. It was always, "let me get back to you..." etc. I just read his latest Angie's List reviews. This guy needs to be dropped from the List entirely! But I do want to comment Angie's List people for helping me with this.

Description of Work: Took deal on January 9, 2013. Called company and spoke to Holly, Jim May's wife.Set date for Jan. 13 to inspect roof. Jim May called to reschedule, as it was too cold. Inspection was re-set for Jan. 21. Jim May called again and cancelled; again too cold. He indicated that he would call again when weather improved. Hearing nothing for several months, I called in April and left a message to remind him of the deal. He called in late April to tell me that he hadn't forgotten, but would call me again in a few weeks to set an appointment.That call never came. I called him on May 8 and May 16 - voicemail mailbox was full on both occasions. Never received a call back.

Description of Work: He did not show any interest for the job. Mr. May might have many customer and be very busy. he promised me to send his work schedule. He never did. I do not want to wait without any input from him.

He doesn't answer his phone or cell. The mailbox on his phone is full, so you can't leave a message. His cell phone receives messages, but he doesn't reply. He doesn't answer his email messages.

I left a message the night before reminding him. Full disclosure-I said there was a possibility I would be late--but not more than 5 minutes. He never called me. He never came. This is just too much of an effort to get him to do the work he advertised he'd do....

Description of Work: I tried contacting Mr. May several times, by phone and e-mail with no response. Any response would have been appreciated, even if he indicated that he wouldn't be able to do the job right away. At least I wouldn't have felt ignored.

Description of Work: J P May Co was called and a message was placed via phone. Tim called back and said he would call mid week to stop by. No one ever called back or stopped by. The company mailbox was full as of 5/9/13. Please refund $149 coupon as no one will honor this. Thank You

Description of Work: I emailed the provider on April 17th, the day I bought the big deal with no response. I emailed again on April 22th that he could at least acknowledge that I had emailed him to no response. I phoned him and he said that he waould come to look at my job and that any materials necessary I would have to pay for. I said fine. He never came and I emailed him on Friday, May 3rd that I would want a refund. No response. So today I asked Angie's list for a refund and I emailed this information to James May.

Description of Work: A representative came out to take measurements and then sent me a quote for the additional floor that would be refinished since it was a larger area than the big deal covered. I accepted his quote and said I would call later to schedule. He called me in April to ask if I was ready to schedule and I said that May 3rd would work. He agreed to that date. I called him on the 1st to find out what time he was coming and left a voice mail. I did not get a call back. I called again the next day and again did not receive a call back. He did not show up to do the work on the scheduled day so I left another voicemail and did not get a call back. I hope he is OK. I rated it a C because they did a great job all the way up to the scheduled date.

Description of Work: Contacted beginning of April stating that they'll arrange times by areas worked. Now mid-May and has not heard. Is either overwhelmed with business or a poor planner. Money evidently in the bank for them, no incentive to do the work.

Description of Work: I understand I purchased roof services in the winter but I am concerned with a lack of return calls or communication what will be like after the job is complete and there is an issue. I'd rather find another contractor.

Description of Work: The beginning of the process (scheduling for the estimate & arriving on-time) went well. After the estimate, I provided all of my contact information to the provider and I was told that I would get the actual prices in my email the following day. However, I did not receive anything the next day. I decided to give it some time before contacting the provider because he may have been extremely busy and I could understand that. After about three weeks, I called to see why I haven't heard anything, but I didn't get an answer. So I tried email and that didn't work. So, I decided contact Angie's List customer service to see what had been going on. After that, I received a phone call from the provider, but I couldn't answer my cell phone during working hours. So, I called back the following day and the day after that and the day after that only to get the voicemail service each time. Therefore, I decided to request a refund.
