Jeff's Lock & Key Service

Jeff took care to explain what could be done and the cost for each prior to starting work. In addition to re-keying the door locks, he looked at a passage door to see if we could change its mechanism. He went above and beyond when he discovered that the back door didn't actually latch and corrected the issues (at no additional cost). Would definitely recommend him and his work to others.

He was excellent. He did a real quick job in a very short amount of time. He took about half an hour to do the job.

I was very happy with the quality of his work, all the doors and locks fit nicely and locking the door is smooth, I don't have to pull on the door or anything to line up the bolt. Jeff was on time and he did I great job. I'll definitely use him again in the future.

Called Sunday, arrived promptly first thing Monday morning. Worked quickly and efficiently. Looks good as new. Very professional. Would certainly call him again.

I forgot what exactly he did. He was able to fix a lock or replace a lock on our front door. He came up with a solution. He was very polite. He was reasonable. He did the job quickly. He did a nice job. I would recommend him to other people.

Jeff came to install some locks that I had already purchased from the internet. He determined that the locks were not made for the way my doors opened and that they would have to be installed upside down to work. He did not recommend doing this and he actually spoke with the manufacturer on the phone and helped me obtain a complete refund. I was impressed with how professionally he handled my return and solved my problem. I'm completely happy with the job he did. :)

He had to order the safe key blanks (per the manufacturers' guidelines) and called me a week later when the keys were ready. I happened to need another key when everything was ready for pickup, so he made it while I waited (3 minutes max). Really nice guy and excellent service.

I can't say anything negative about Jeff. I called him and spoke to him on a Tuesday. He apologized that he couldn't fit me in until Thursday. He did ask if it was an emergency (it wasn't) and said if it were he would work something out. He showed up a mere five minutes late for the appointment. He apologized for being late because of road construction. I'm using to waiting hours for cable workers to show up, so I was thrilled with five minutes. He fixed the locked, politely showed me where I messed up, cleaned the lock and tested all of my keys to ensure that it worked. I wish everyone I called, hired, etc., could be as professional and responsive as Jeff.

Jeff was on time. He did the job, cleaned up after himself, and left me with the product I intended. He was efficient. It went very well.

Jeff came at the scheduled time - one day after we spoke on the phone. Because the door was a bit non-standard, we had to do a bit of brain-storming to find a way of installing the lock that was both secure and esthetically pleasing. Jeff made an number of helpful suggestions and was flexible about how to install the lock. He then quickly and efficiently installed the lock in the agreed upon position.

Jeff came the day after we called, arrived on time, replaced the lock efficiently, cut several new keys for us, and charged a very reasonable price. He was great!

I now know a locksmith must know something about carpentry and the ability to work with old doors. I will need to get someone else to change the lock on the garage door which is non-functioning. Jeff is good at what he does, but he needs to have more knowledge about carpentry and old doors and how to adapt them to the new needs of today's locks.

I called Jeff and asked Jeff about re-keying the locks on a house I just bought for myself to live in. After further examination I decided to replace all 6 door knobs and locks. I also decided to purchase the door knob lock sets from Jeff. Jeff showed up on time and was extremely proficient at his craft. He was done in about a half hour to 45 minutes and I was extremely pleased.

I contacted Jeff to change the locks at my business. He was prompt, professional and did good work. I would use his business again and refer him to friends.

He was very responsive to my phone call. He came in a timely manner and found the problem and fixed it. He was knowledgeable and worked professionally. I have used him several times.

Jeff is outstanding. On the phone he was courteous and receptive. Jeff arrived on time and we qucikly got to work. He even tried to tighten a door knob that I replaced - this took most of the time. His rate is very reasonable and I will be calling him for future jobs as well as refer him to others.

This is the second time I have used Jeff's service. He installed a dead bolt on the front door of my mother's house. When I called to make the appointment he scheduled me for two days later. He arrived promptly at 9:30 and completed the job which took all of 20 minutes. I asked him to supply the lock for convenience and I am happy with the quality of the lock. I also asked him to look at a door knob and replace it if necessary. He did replace the door knob. Jeff is one of the most polite and professional service providers I have ever met. I would use him again and have no reservations recommending him to others.

He came out and did a great job. He came back two or three times because I had ordered a special lock. He explained everything for me and helped me out with the right kind of locks I needed. I would recommend him to anyone!

This was my first Angie's List experience and it was great. Jeff came out promptly after my call and gave me an estimate. He had to order some parts and told me he'd call when they came in. He did just that and came out and did the majority of the work. We didn't have a key to one of the locks so he needed to take it back to his shop to work on it. Since he had to come back a second day he decided not to charge us for the initial service call. He really didn't have to do that since it was our fault he had to come back out since we didn't have the key. He is a very nice guy - respectful, friendly and skilled at what he does. I would hire him again without hesitation.

He did such a great job. We couldn't have asked for more. It is so nice to have only one key to our whole house. He was very fast and friendly. He was very polite and kept everything neat and clean.

I found Jeff to be very knowledgeable about Locksmithing! My house has very old locks on it and he was able to repair and tell me a little about them. I would have to say that he is one of the few people I've ever met who loved their job! I would definitely hire him again.

I called on a weekend and got an outgoing message that he would be closed on Monday and returning calls Tuesday. I got a call at 9 am Tuesday morning. Jeff was very courteous and was at my house the next day. He gave me a 1/2 hour window of time and was accommodating to my choice of times. He showed up on time and installed the dead bolt. As it turns out the door knob, a lever handle type, was a left facing when I needed a right facing. Since I was the one who bought the handle prior to contacting Jeff, I needed to exchange it for the correct knob. Jeff was able to come back out at the time of my choice on Friday and did not charge anything extra for the additional trip. Very courteous, communicative, efficient and reasonably priced. I would recommend him highly.

Jeff was very punctual and professional. He arrived on time and completed the job quickly and with satisfaction.

When I called, I informed him that I had purchased 2 locks and partially installed the deadbolt but couldn't complete it. He was very nice but asked several questions for clarity of what I needed done. I asked for a price to perform the job, $65.00 plus tax. We set up an appointment for 9:00 AM Friday morning. He arrived on time, explained why I couldn't complete installing the lock and got to work! Jeff had both locks installed within 40 minutes! I was watching TV at the time when an Angie's List commercial came on CNN. I told him that's where I got his name as he had been wondering about it. We talked while he worked and before I knew it, the job was done. The locks work great and turning the key is a pleasure now. I also got to apply my $5.00 coupon for being a member on Angie's List. Jeff was prompt, pleasant and efficient. He patiently answered all my questions, his work was excellent. My initial telephone call was handled politely, and my call was returned within a short period of time. I would recommend Jeff's locks and key service. Again, Jeff did excellent work.
