We recently purchased a home and needed to rekey 5 doors. Jeff was highly recommended to us, and it's clear why! He accommodated our schedules and patiently answered all of our questions. He also replaced a faulty door latch and worked with a machinist to fix a very old doorknob so we could keep using it. Jeff was friendly, kind, and efficient. When I initially called, the gentleman I spoke with took my information and said a locksmith would call me. After 2 weeks I still hadn't received a call so I called back again and spoke with someone and a locksmith called me that day. The owner followed up with me and apologized for the first work order not getting handled correctly. The locksmith did the work quickly (4 locks) and made keys for me before he left.

Jeff responded immediately to my initial call. He was willing to come and do the job even though we are located at the extreme edge of his service area. A date and costs were agreed upon. His cost, including a small travel fee, was less than services closer. He called in advance on the morning he was to arrive and arrived on time. He went right to work. He was courteous and conscientious in his work. He not only re-keyed two locks he also did some maintenance work on a dead bolt and the door locks. He was able to make several extra keys for us on-site before he left. I would definitely recommend Jeff's service and would hire him again if needed.

Jeff returned my call promptly, but didn't perform the work. He was busy with some commercial work at the time and was scheduling several weeks ahead for his earliest appointment. Unfortunately, I couldn't wait that long.

Jeff examined the lock and was able to repair my antique lock with antique parts he kept from previous jobs. The lock works perfectly, and has kept its antique integrity. And the whole job only cost me $89.00. I couldn't be more pleased. Jeff did a great job. I will definitely use him again.

This is the 3rd time I've hired Jeff and highly recommend him. He is dependable, does excellent work, and his prices are great. He will also let you know up front if there are any issues with installing locks or deadbolts, and can clearly explain your options. Called Saturday and requested service for Monday. Jeff was here Monday morning to change locks and re-key. Very courteous, professional and efficient. Explained how new keypad worked and showed me how to change codes. Also climbed a ladder to help change the code on garage door opener even though that was not part of his area of expertise. I got this locksmith a a very reputable hardware store here. I can't get it in, there was something about the way the hole is drilled. I couldn't get the cylinder in. I called the hardware store, they recommended somebody. They were taking a week to get out of here. He charged me $199.02 and he did not fix my lock. What he did was, he took a look at this M-tech lock which is a lot of money. He decided that maybe his locks and his truck are better. He told me why he couldn't fix it. He had went out to his truck and he bought in these locks, doorknobs and stuff. He bought that in instead of trying. He didn't even try to get my M-tech lock in. He put these other things in, It cost me 75 bucks to get that, that's on top of the $325 I paid for the lock set and charge me $60 just to come out here and $51 for labor when most of that was spent yacking at me. I am so upset. The hardware store in not going to give his name out anymore. I'm having to pay for another locksmith to come out here and fix this mess. I'm really mad. I might pay him for the labor but he owes me for the rest of this stuff.

This is the second time I've used Jeff's Lock and Key, the other time was a few years ago. Both times I was very happy, Jeff does great work, his prices are great, he's punctual, and fast. Highly recommended !

Jeff was prompt, professional and courteous, He installed one deadbolt and also took a look at a lock/switch on a wheel chair ramp. He gave sound advice on how to rekey it at no extra charge. When I'm ready to move forward, I'll call Jeff.

Jeff returned my call promptly. I explained the problem I was having with the front door key not working. He spent some time on the phone with me going over several possibilities of what might need fixed and approximate cost. I was wondering if what I needed would be covered under the "big Deal" listed on Angie'sList. He advised me that there was a different smaller deal that would save me some money then depending on what other service needed (of a few scenarios he discussed) that would be added on top. He showed up on time, found out what the problem with the lovk was, gave me two options to fix and did the repair/replacement and matching the new key to my other locks- just like we discussed. I put $70 but don't remember exact cost- I was very pleased and it seemed fair.

He was there on time and very professional. He did all the work within 45 minutes. It was very appreciated because the Flipper that owned the house had at least 5 keys floating around.

Jeff responded promptly, arrived when scheduled, and performed the requested services, making a poorly-functioning lock on our front door work as it was intended to - which it hadn't been doing for 40+ years. We then asked him to look at the non-traditional lock on our newly-installed sliding patio door, He was able to adjust the mechanism so that it would lock and unlock as it should - something the original installers had trouble with. He was pleasant and courteous throughout and made sure that the locks worked to our satisfaction . We would recommend Jeff's Lock & Key Service.
