Harel has performed home inspections for many of my clients purchasing new homes. As a residential real estate agent, I know that it's important for homeowners to use a structural engineer to perform the home inspection. Harel is extremely knowledgeable, quick to respond, punctual, just an overall pleasure to work with! I recommend him highly!

Mr. Harel Schwarz did a fantastic job! When we contacted him, his response was prompt and very professional. The appointment was quickly set up and he encouraged and welcomed us to accompany him during the home inspection. We felt his background as a Professional Engineer was a tremendous asset in evaluating condition of homes. He was very thorough during the home inspection, even climbing on the roof after snowfall. He spent a lot of time going through the house with us in detail to identify potential issues. He is extremely knowledgeable in house mechanics, visual inspection and in particular structural analysis. We were very impressed with his knowledge and professional attitude. He employs a broad range of professional grade instruments and technology to assess the condition of the house. He took his time and it is very evident that he is dedicated to providing a thorough inspection. We received a very detailed inspection report later that same evening, and we were so impressed with the amount of detail, photos and complete description of issues to consider when purchasing this particular home. Mr. Schwarz is extremely friendly and personable and was always willing to promptly answer our questions. He quickly returned all of our calls and emails. His fee was very reasonable and worth every penny and more. We will gladly use Mr. Schwarz in the future and will solely recommend Mr. Schwarz to all of our friends and colleagues in Pittsburgh. He is a true professional.

I called Harel and he was able to come out 2 days later. The inspection was great - we came along with him and the whole thing took 4 hours, he was very thorough and answered all our questions. He sent us a report with pictures very quickly. He used a third party for the pest and radon inspections who seemed very competent. He gave us great advice on the house and candid structural advice (we are interested in lowering the basement floor). It's very clear that he loves his job and we loved the job that he did.

It went wonderfully. Harel is very open and knowledgeable in house construction/maintenance and mechanical systems. He encouraged us to be with him during the inspection and question him while taking notes. I feel very comfortable with his advice and the manner with which it was given. He is very thorough and examined the house from foundation to attic and roof. I would encourage anyone in the area to use him as opposed to many of his competitors that do not have his engineering credentials. Anyone can tell you if your water heater is leaking, Harel can tell you if your house will fall down.

I was in need of a structural inspection of a building that I own to satisfy a request by a city inspector. I did not have a lot of money to commit to something like this and I didn't know any certified engineering inspectors or anything close. I chose the highest rated, closest structural engineer to my house. I called the number and Harel, the owner, answered the phone. I explained my rather unusual situation to him. I didn't need a whole home type inspection, only any evaluation of the soundness of the house. We talked for about ten minutes and made an appointment for the next day. Harel was on time and equipped for the job. We did a complete tour of the house and he took pictures and explained any concerns that he had. It took about 2 hours. He told me that he would have the report that I needed for the city inspector ready for me by the end of the following day. The four page report, complete with pictures and a certified stamp was ready by the next day. I appreciate the care that Harel put into the inspection and the thoroughness of the report as well as his pricing consideration for the job. He is good at what he does and obviously enjoys it.

Harel was great with everything except communication and the report. Very informative during the inspection and was able to schedule very quickly. Reasonably priced. However failed to get the structural report after the inspection and have repeatedly tried to get the report but his email keeps getting rejected and phone messages have not been returned. Happy w/ the inspection, but very poor follow through and communication after.

Residental home structural analysis, help determine cause of ceiling/wall cracks.

Harel spent 3 hours with my husband and I on a detailed inspection of the property. He answered all of our questions, of which we had many, since it was an old house. He inspected the entire property and even went up on the roof in the rain. We received the inspection report less than 24 hours after our inspection. The turnaround time was excellent.

Harel invited us to be involved in the inspection process. He explained everything he was doing and gave us detailed descriptions of his findings, both good and bad. Harel was a very knowledgeable inspector. He had a very extensive and impressive set of tools to perform his duties as required. He listened very carefully during my initial phone call and the day of the inspection to understand our concerns so he could investigate them further. He was a total professional from the onset. He answered our many questions thoroughly. The report itself was documented in a very professional manner complete with many pictures. We highly recommend Harel for anyone who wants to uncover as much information as possible during the inspection phase.

Harel did thorough inspection of the property. I was with him the entire 2 hour period of the inspection. He answered most of my questions. I did seem to irritate him with too many questions towards the end of the inspection. But I didn't care and he kept on answering my questions. On a rainy day, he climbed up on the roof to inspect its condition. Since he claims to be a structural engineer, he also made comments about structural integrity of the property, which was helpful. I however would not recommend Pest and Termite Inspection company suggested by Harel. Find your own.

Harel was through and professional. His feedback was extensive. He was patient and answered all my questions.

I am a first time home buyer and I needed help deciding wether to go forward with this house. I had worries about the structure of the home and found Harel's business on Angie's List. I picked his business because of the price, very reasonable! Harel arrived on time. He is very professional. He was patient with us with all of our questions. He took his time to examine each area of the home from the basement to the rooftop! We were right there with him as he did his inspection, and when I said we can give him his space to work he encouraged us to be there. If we had questions on top of questions he answered with honesty! His answers settled a lot of worries about the home. We were completely satified with his service. His professionalism has helped me make the decision to go forward with this house.

My experiences with Harel on these two home inspections were exceptional to say the least. First off, his background a Structural Engineer made me feel great about using him and being able to ask him questions regarding the structural integrity of each home I looked at with him. He is very detailed and went above and beyond to investigate concerns that were observed during the inspection. Harel will absolutely lay out the facts for you and allow you to base a decision off of that information. He was on time during both visits, spent an adequate amount of time looking at both homes, and was very prompt with getting the inspection report back to me (second home was finished at 5pm and I had the report in my email at 1:30 am). He also reduced the cost on the second inspection without me bringing it up to him (to me that’s a sign of his character).

I met Harel at the home on a cold snowy morning a few weeks before my scheduled close. I hired Harel because I knew he had experience with structural engineering, and I had some specific questions about the structural stability of the home. He was professional and personable. I feel that he gave me his honest opinion, and did a good job looking at everything. His finished reports were excellent, and detailed. He expressed some concern that we wouldn't be able to look at the roof, since it was snow-covered, but I assured him I was not concerned about it, because it was replaced the month prior. He might have missed a *very minor* detail or two, but I believe this was more than acceptable given the brief nature of a standard home inspection. That being said, I've lived in the house a couple months now, and I have had no surprises. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

Harel was helpful, answering all my questions, patient with me, willing to explain to me what I was looking at and what it was, what may need to be done, what to watch and monitor... His home inspection report was also complete and with diagrams and links to resources for more information about the different parts and items listed for better understanding.

Harel and Inspectioneering was referred to me by a real estate agent (the agent was not involved in this transaction). I called Harel on a Tuesday and by the following Monday we had planned to have him inspect a 3 unit property. Harel sent me a very reasonable quote and we executed an agreement online. On the day of the inspection, my partner met Harel at the property and he proceeded to spend over 3 hours conducting the home inspection, all the time he was sharing his observations and knowledge with my partner. 24 hours later we had a complete, 49 page report with digital photographs and diagrams explaining all the issues with the property from structural, electrical and plumbing to roofing, windows and gutters. I have had home inspectors in the past maybe spend 30 to 45 minutes inspecting a property and the reports were pretty plain vanilla. Harel, in contrast, is a structural engineer by training and applies that engineering background to every aspect of the home inspection process - very detailed and very precise. Thanks Harel, you provided great insight into the condition of the property.

They were able to make the appointment on short notice and for a great price. He spent a good deal of time describing the issues and answering our questions. We felt confident in the overall conclusions of the inspection. The only limitation was the final structural report output -- a pdf -- that lacked a feel of professionalism and could be improved with more structure and photographs. Finally, they provided great leads on foundation experts that could provide estimates for any required work.

Because I was out of the country at the time and needed to have a home inspection performed in my absence and on a very tight deadline, I contacted a number of inspectors on Angie's List. I selected Mr. Schwarz based on his impressive qualifications, client recommendations and his availability. We communicated only by telephone and email. Mr. Schwarz did the inspection very quickly -- over the weekend -- and was also very attentive to my request for a fast turn-around with the report which he sent electronically. His report was well documented with pictures and provided useful information to use in response to comments from potential buyers. No doubt it would have been even more helpful had it been done earlier in the process of selling the house and if I could have been present to raise questions or concerns directly with him.

We contacted Harel to do the inspection because we wanted a structural engineer to look at our concerns with the floor and retaining wall. He did a great job with everything. He was very thorough and took his time, like checking every electrical outlet and a complete inspection of the roof, furnace, and AC. He knew a lot about the structure of our house by looking for small clues. He took pictures of almost everything and wrote down notes during the inspection so he wouldn't forget. We were able to successfully use his report, mostly concerning the retaining walls, to negotiate down the price of the house. Very nice and intelligent guy, would definitely recommend!

The inspector was very thorough and followed up the same day with the results of the inspection. He responded quickly when I called him and was able to do the inspection without much notice. I was very pleased with him and his services.
