Mark Draa from Home Computer Help was a lifesaver. i thought i was going to have to buy an new laptop but he fixed it in 3 days. he said i had an infection on my computer,which he removed. he said he would have to do some scanning which could take a while, so he asked if he could take my laptop with him so he didn't have to charge me for sitting around while it scanned. he didn't price gauge me at all! so he took the laptop with him on feb 5th, and returned on feb 8th with it all fixed. he had made recovery discs for me in case i would ever have to restore it to the original factory settings in the future; this way i didn't have to order them from toshiba for at least $35. he also brought a flash drive, that i requested, to backup my personal data. he did not offer or push me to buy anything from him. i inquired if i could, and he said yes and told me a price. he didn't try to sell me anything i didn't need. he then proceeded to create new folders where my personal data would be backed up, and then proceeded to back up my data. he also installed software, for free, that would help with the spyware i already had (webroot), and added it as an icon on my desktop. he made an icon to back-up data on my desktop too, so i wouldn't have to search the different folders to find them. i just click on the button and it does the job. He also fixed my printer, which was not any easy job. the geeksquad had intalled everything but apparently didn't completely install the printer. so mark reinstalled the printer, and now i can print AND scan. i was unable to scan pictures before. he showed me step by step what to do. he explained that the i had a software problem, and had an infection on it that he removed. he said my files were "scrambled", and he went line by line to fix the problem. and he explained everything he was doing and telling me what i didn't have to do b/c he made shortcuts on my desktop for me to perform the tasks. in conclusion, i had emailed his company late thursday night (feb 3), and got a call the next day (feb 4). he set up the appointment for the next day, saturday feb 5. he was very professional,went right to work, was pleasant and answered my many questions, sometimes repeatedly without making me feel stupid. he was also very kind to my hyper dog. i felt very safe, as a woman, to have him in the house with me. he was very courtious and patient with me, and fixed all my problems in a very quick time frame. he also took measures to save me money on my bill whenever he could. plus he had a coupon. i will definitley only go to him if i ever need computer service again! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! P.S.: he told me all the stuff i tried to fix it on my own made the problem worse and he fixed all of that. he also gave me advice on general computer questions, such as downloading toolbars, and that was extremely helpful b/c i will not make the same mistakes again.

My computer was running very slow, almost not at all, I was worried I had a virus. Mark came to my home within a couple of days. Ran scans and did clean-up on my PC. He opened the tower and came to find that the "cooler" was falling off. He fixed it for me. My computer is running faster than ever. I have used another computer company on Angies List but Mark blew them away. I would use Mark again and his price is right.

Excellent. He helped with problems I would not have known been able to resolve myself.

He provided, in all about 4 hours of very knowledgeable support. In addition to the services mentioned above, he assisted in transferring a non-standard program and its data and got our elderly scanner working. It is really great to find someone we will be able to rely on for help.

I was really satisfied. Not only was he reasonable, I didn't have to haul my computer out. He said the average life of a computer is 5 or 6 years and I'm going on 6 years. He was here three hours and stayed with the computer until he got it fixed. I am planning to get a new computer soon and he is the first one on my list to come and install hardware on it.

Very satisfied. He made a "house call" and improved overall computer function. he also explained what he did and how to do it.

Mark Draa was on time, and debugged my PC within an hours and half, explaining things as he went.

They were punctual, courteous, helpful, and informative.

Mark was able to get the computer and printer to function together. He could not guarantee that the difficulty would not recur in the future. He performed many checks including a cleanout and virus scan. The work was performed in a professional manner,

When I called his office, the woman that answered was very nice and courteous and asked what area I lived in, and I told her, and she mentioned it was further than the area they usually covered so that would be an additional $35.00 driving charge, and I told her I had no problem with that at all. I gave her a brief description of my laptop problem, and she told me what their hourly rate would be and I agreed to that--very reasonably priced. I was extremely impressed with Mark for his punctuality. He called me at 2:55p, because my apptmt. was for 3p. I directed him to my house from where he was, he came in and immediately set up shop and got right to work. He asked how old my laptop was and I told him it would be 2 yrs. old this December 2010. As soon as he powered it up, he worked his magic, used some of his CDs to assess the problem, and he told me what he believed it to be. There was some type of bug that had messed up my hard disk, and he told me to let the computer run it's course, which would be a few hours, and that my laptop should work like it had before. Mark didn't want to stay for the running of the laptop, because he would have had to charge me more, so he gave me his business card, and told me to call him if the computer didn't work as he knew it should. After about 3 hours, my laptop is running like the day I received it. I was so thrilled to have it working properly. He told me to call him anytime I have any problems and he could get me back in business, and that he did. He is very knowledgeable and courteous, and I WILL be calling him again in the future. I highly recommend Home Computer Help--because Mark knows exactly what he's doing. I couldn't be happier!

My initial attempt to contact the company was for naught and I filed a negative report. Then I saw their response and I called them to dicuss the situation. This and subsequent contact with them leads me to rate them "A" and recommend them. Their attitude is a model for other comapnies.

I was in the midst of a move to another state and he took all the stress out of dealing with a new computer and making sure that my conversion was seamless. I appreciated his promptness and courtesy.

Mark came twice, and was able to undo my mistakes and figure out how to save my data. He was quick, thought on his feet ( hadn't worked with mozilla before but figured it all out), and explained enough to me that I would not make silly mistakes.

Mark arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem with my pc. He explained to me what was needed (a new power supply). Since it required a smaller than normal power supply, he was not able to use one that he carried with him. He took my PC to his shop and checked out the rest of the hardware to be certain that nothing else was damaged by the failing power supply. He found the least expensive power supply that he could and ordered it for me after he called and explained the situation to me. When he received the new power supply, he installed it, called me and scheduled an appt. with me to return my pc. He arrived on time and quickly had me up and running again. I will use Home Computer Help again when I need my pc repaired.

Awesome! The person answering the phone when I made the the appointment correctly diagnosed the problem and made sure Mark brought a new power supply with him during his visit. Mark knew exactly what he was doing and tore the machine down in seconds and plugged in the new components and everything was fixed within an hour.

Mark was excellent. He explains everything, works quickly and is thorough. I have referred a lot of friends to him. He is an exceptional person.

Mark and Barb were excellent! They kept in telephone contact regularly to provide status; they explained problems clearly; they kept me advise of all costs, time frames, they worked hard to have my computer returned quickly and in excellent working condition!

Mark showed up and started to work on one of the two computers we had organized to be worked on. Then I realized all that Mark was capable of.... So of course I added tons of stuff and continue to find other projects. He is versatile, pleasant and gives you as much information as you want. He did a great job and will be coming back as I know realize all he can do. He is worth the $60 an hour!

Mark came in and started working on my list of problems. He was very professional and even though some of the problems had very simple solutions, he did not make me feel like a dummy. He took care of what I asked him to take care of and told me how to solve some of the problems myself.

The first time around, it didn't get completely fixed. We thought it was fixed and it blew after a couple days. He dug into it a little more to fix it again. He's pretty confident. He's helpful and answers all of my questions.

Mark was very professional and did not make my feel like an idiot when a connection was connected in the wrong place. He then found out the source of the real problem and was very thorough to make sure that was really it and did not leave until all three computers were working correctly.

Mark arrived shortly after he set up an appointment. I had multiple start-up issues with my computer. He went to work and had my machine running more efficiently. He cleaned out programs that were slowing the running of my computer, uninstalled Norton, and installed Kaspersky Internet Security. He even gave me a House Call newsletter that included good information and extra tips.

Great! I responded to a Windows XP pop-up that I needed to install an update. It "failed" & after 1 week of unsuccessful suggestions, I called Home Computers Help. They responded within a few hours & gave free, over the phone suggestions to try. An appointment was set when those also failed.
