COIT Cleaning and Restoration of Pittsburgh

Company called me in the early am on the day of service to give me appointment window of 2-4 pm. I had errands to run during the day and was not planning to be home until 1: 30 pm. ... However, I received a phone call from the crew assigned to my job at 12: 20 pm , stating that " they would be right over "......this is 2 1/2 hours before the scheduled appointment !!! When I tried to explain that this was not ok and that I was not at home and busy with errands they said that they would " just park out in front of my house and wait till I got there then." I felt pressured to rush home in order to accomodate their schedule. I stated that I would be able to be at home at 1 pm. I rushed home to meet them , but they did not show up at 1 pm ! They arrived at 1 : 20 pm, with no apology....... The work crew did NOT know what room they were supposed to clean or the special instructions on why the carpet needed cleaning that I had previously discussed with the office when making the appointment. They replied that they hadn`t been told " anything' by the office. I then called the office with concerns that the crew had apparently been told the wrong information concerning the appointment time as well as the specific job that was supposed to be done. The office staff wasn`t very helpful, stating that " they had no idea what had happened. " .... Then one of the workmen overheard my conversation and made several rude comments. I asked to speak to the supervisor and he was not very responsive to my concerns either....I asked for a portion of the bill to be reduced due to poor service and he reluctantly agreed to do so....stating that " maybe I should find a different company to work with in the future " instead of apologizing to me for the issues. He could have cared less about customer service ! The work crew also did not give me a receipt for my check payment and they left water marks from the cleaning machine on my hardwood floors on their way out. VERY POOR customer service. Would NOT recommend them or use service again.

I called COIT specifically to have my tile and grout cleaned in my kitchen. To be honest, I was pretty disappointed. The tile looked great but some of the "high traffic" area's grout didn't clean as I had hoped. It looked splotchy and definitely not worth the $100 spent. I was hoping for a completely uniform grout color. I guess my expectations were too high. As for the area rugs and upholstery, I was completely satisfied. Everything cleaned up really nice. They did an excellent job and I felt they were worth every penny.

They first came and gave me an estimate. The young man was very professional and nice. Then they scheduled the work. I don't remember how long after the estimate, but it didn't take a full week. The day of the service, they called to confirm. The worker was prompt, and efficient.It took about 2 hours. I was pleased and would certainly hire them for other services, like the carpets and upholstery. They were not the cheapest but I picked them because of Angie's list reviews. I thought it was a very reasonable price.

They did a fine job. However, they would not clean the shower stall.

They did a great job. They were unable to clean the couch regularly, however they were able to dry clean it. They gave advice on how to maintain the upholstery.

Communications were good and they were prompt but the charges just kept going up and the overall cleaning just did not produce the results on the sectional sofa we were hoping for. May have had something to do with the type of fabric but really did not seem any cleaner after being done than before?

It was fabulous. They were very professional. They accomodated my time and they took all the time necessary, without rushing. I felt like I was important. Steve Vandall was absolutely wonderful. He's the residential sales representative.

I thought the service was great. The estimator was on time and was fast and efficient. I had a 50% online coupon but he was also ready to give me a general 40% coupon if needed. Cleaner came the next day, a little later than I thought, but still can't believe this close to the holidays the could fit me in on short notice. The cleaner was polite and professional and did a great job. Pre-treating and sanitizing. The furniture and carpet look great. They moved all the furniture so I had to do nothing. Even moved the couch to a different spot than it was originally in so I didn't have to move it later. Only about 2.5 hours. I recommend and would use in future

I had used Coit once before so I called them after seeing their OCT40 special being advertised. Supposedly this is 40% off their normal price. The way Coit works is they want you to have small items, knick knacks etc out of the area to be cleaned and have the area vacuumed. This way if you like their price, they will do the cleaning right then. In this way you are already partially committed to using them (the area is ready, you have made arrangements to be there for them) before you even get the price. I didn't like the price, we discussed it, they couldn't do any better and left. They were on time and professional for the estimate but I thought their price was very high..... even with the special. So I checked Angie's List and called Steam Masters. I'm glad I did. See my review for them.

When the cleaner came on 11/8, one of the first things he mentioned was that our entryway carpeting should be cleaned or replaced. Actually, we think it looks pretty good. I had the impression that he was trying to get more work. With an estimate of $600.00, he was finished in about one hour. We are satisfied with the job, but $600.00 is a lot of money for one hour's work, and that with a 40% discount!

Used the company's online request form to schedule an appointment for an estimate for cleaning area rug, couch and chair. Received a confirmation email. Today, they were supposed to arrive between 11am and 1pm. No one showed and no one called. When I called the company they told me they had no record of my request. When I told them I had a confirmation email from them they had nothing to say. Oh well....guess I will find another company that will respond.

Gary was very professional. He explained the process carefully and provided a number of useful tips about efficient use of our heating and air conditioning system as well as doing en effective cleaning of the air ducts.

Arrived on time, went right to work, very friendly. Total job took 1hour and 20 min. including Scotch Guard. I mentioned to cleaning man the carpets are very very wet, could he go over them again to remove more of the water and he declined saying they are supposed to be wet. They will be dry in 2 or 3 days. He left. I laid beach towels down to walk on because the water wood squirt between my toes. Took 4days to dry.

I waited to use them until I saw their 40-percent off advertisements on TV. They were able to get rid of a lot of the stains and were very efficient. They also were very good and professional.

It was an excellent experience. They came on time and did what they said they would do.

The gentlemen who came out were friendly and clean. I was told that duct cleaning was very dirty and there was no dirt in my house. They were prompt and they called me before to let me know around what time they were going to get here. They set up a window when they called me and they were here within that time, actually a little bit earlier than that time but it was all good. I mean, I have not even seen any dust since August 2nd. Their professionalism was also very good.

It went ok, the person who did the cleaning was giving suggestions on the other services Coit provides and that was fine.

Coit Carpet Cleaning and Restoration cleaned my carpet very quickly the first time they came to my house. They were very apologetic when I called and came back just 2 days later with 2 new workers and did and excellent job. They did an excellent job, but they didn't do it the first time.

We were very happy with the service. They came on time and delivered on time. They did a very nice job on the rugs. We couldn't have asked for a better service.

We've been very happy with them. Every time we've used them, they have been absolutely cleaner than anybody else's. They have one of those outside trucks. They've been very neat and clean. They pick up after themselves. They run great specials on occasions.

The price was a little expensive, so I think I would check around for others before I call them again.

They do a thorough job and are careful. I liked them and thought they were easy to work with. They often have coupons in the paper that you can use to keep the price down.

They were on time. They were neat. They told me what they were doing, how they were doing and they explained the job. They told me what they had found and how the whole process went. Of course, I was aware what they were doing. They were friendly. I didn't have any problems with them.
