BEWARE OF THIS SLIMY BUSINESS! Some words of advice before you use this business for your home. Get a written estimate and measure your rooms. They claim they charge by the square foot so they add in a substantial amount of square feet and overcharge you. Next check your bill carefully! They will add additional services that they are not authorized to do and then charge you for it. They did scotchguarding on our carpet but never asked either myself or my husband if we wanted it and then they charge for it. The carpets come out hard from whatever product it is that they use. After being vacuumed many times the carpet is still hard. Do your homework so that you don’t get ripped off as I did. Customer service is totally unresponsive and not interested in customer satisfaction . So the main advice I would give you is to use a different business to clean your carpeting. We have had much success with Chem Dri of Mars and I would suggest you give them a call first.

Very professional and outstanding service

They were pretty good. The communication was decent. It was two rooms.

They took the covers off and did a real bad job putting them back on. They were hanging. I had to call someone out to put them back on. They shouldn't have taken the covers off. They told me they didn't need to be taken off. They pulled a fast one on me, they made it seem like the screws were back on, they were really deceitful. they should have told me they should not have taken them off. Once, they took off one they should have told me and not have taken the others off, they took off five or six. I had trouble putting some off them back on.

They charged like $99 and I only had 2 area carpets and steps. They were supposed to do like 2 rooms of carpeting but I have area carpets. They don't go under the bed, they go around the beds. It was a horrible job. Any little stain they didn't do anything with. Something that was supposed to be $99 ended up costing me close to $400. They took one of my carpets out and one carpet had little fringe on it. It wasn't clean after he did this and he said well I should have had that one sent out rather than done here at the house. That kind of annoyed me. They have called me back and said hey we're having specials but they could be giving me free carpet. They come off like $99. What they do is when they get to the house, ok it's $99, well this carpet is going to be extra. Oh we don't go under the bed. And would you like to have the stain resistance stuff put on for $180. So they like to sell all this stuff.

They were prompt, on time, did a wonderful job cleaning.

They came in, did their job, left. They were good.

My father who was ill at the time had the carpets cleaned ( they left them sopping wet ) but they were clean. The window treatments were ordered. My father then passed away. There was a note in the door about the order. When I called and explained the turn of events. I was told, I am not sure what we can do about this. I said neither do I, I have no use for these items that were already paid for. I was supposed to get a call back the next day. It was a week later, and I was asked when would you like these installed. I can not use these items. At the very end of the conversation, I got " our condolences to you and your family" . I will NEVER use any of their services again!

The carpets were left soaking wet. It took 48 hours for my carpets to dry. They told us that, but still to come in and have water squish up when walking on them is pretty disconcerting. My upholstery was done at the same time, it was the same thing and I could not sit on my upholstery.

Did a great job. Good price and service.

They are excellent; there is no question about that. They are just so expensive. They would come back if something was wrong and take care of it. I don’t think I’ve ever had my carpets cleaned by them and it is not $250-$350. They have these sales plan and they’ll have someone call and say the price is 45% off and I say what is the top price, nobody could give me that. That was interesting.

Horrible--not happy with service or representative

All was done tour our satisfaction except for the tile floor which was very smeary after the wax dried. They agreed to redo without any reluctance. They redid it to our satisfaction.

The first one he showed me I said I thought it was ugly and he said well how about his and he said I'll go get something else which he did, which was fine.

I think they are a national company. They are very expensive. My husband asked why I went with them and I said I didn't know because you hear good things about them. They did not do me too good with the price and then on some of my furniture they didn't put the little rubber pads under it. Then I have one area under a chair where I have rust marks. They were so expensive, I don't know why I even went with them. They were late because they said they were at Oakland scrubbing Chuck Noll's rugs. That was their excuse, they said they got held up. They were just okay.

They did an excellent job, the best we've ever had!

It did not go well. Use someone else and Angies List should not recommend them. Very disappointed.

My initial consult with a Coit employee to plan the cleaning and quote a price gave me great confidence in selecting this locally operated company. The price was higher than I had anticipated, but I felt like there was value. The price quote included a Microban cleaning as well. After receiving the message to cancel I called to reschedule and spoke with Patty. She was very friendly on the phone and apologetic, but basically left things like there was nothing that she or her office would do to remedy the situation. I did not cause trouble because my confidence with Coit of Pittsburgh on Frankstown Road has evaporated. I value a company that lives up to it's obligations. I have a signed invoice that states that Coit will provide a service on a certain date and I will pay the stated price for said service. Coit failed to honor their obligation to me, and that shows a severe lack of integrity and professionalism.

They are very good. They had a 40% discount at the time so it was pretty reasonable. They are excellent. They cleaned up after themselves. No complaints about them at all. I just got him out a newspaper when I first got him. I have been using him for 10 to 15 years. They are very dependable and they work with you. I would definitely use him in the future.

The workers were very professional and courteous. But I don’t like the cost and the quality of their work. They ruined my rug and my padding and my carpet. They soaked it. It was all bubbled and I had to have a man come here and stretch the carpet and the padding.

Coit carpet cleaning still is using the bait and switch routine. We were provided an estimate of services over the phone, When the truck rolled up the salesman quoted us double the original estimate and would not negotiate the price. He only agree to perform less work from what was originally quoted. He was politely asked to leave the premises.

Mike and Dan arrived to my new construction house on time and called a half hour earlier. They walked through the house, explained the process and provided a very fair estimate for the job. Once accepted, they made sure to be careful and not drag any dirt into the new house. They took the machine to my basement, connected it to one of the ducts and made sure that they didn't have to drill any more holes than they needed to. They identified all cold air and heat returns, covered them and started the process. They hand cleaned each vent prior to using the machine removing any dirt, debris, sawdust, carpet fibers and they spraying them with cleaner. Dan found a bag of sunflower seeds and sandpaper in 1 vent! The process took 2 hours and they disconnected everything and made sure I was happy with the service. The only remnants left were 2 small holes in the ducts in the basement which they plugged and clean flowing vents. Mike and Dan were extremely professional and represented Coit well. I would definitely use them again!

They came out within a couple days to provide us with an estimate. When I called to make the appointment they said that if I approved the quote, they would begin the service immediately. We approved the quote and he removed the curtains and scheduled the other crew to do the additional work. They came back on time, on schedule. Everyone we dealt with was exceptionally nice, very professional and knowledgeable. The price was not inexpensive, but after all was done, it was worth every penny. I would definitely use them again. I already recommended them to relatives and they were equally satisfied. You definitely get what you pay for and we certainly did with COIT.
