Jeff did a fantastic job. He was extremely prompt in replying to my initial request for a quote. He paid close attention to detail in installing the maple to blend it against a 20-year old maple floor. The finished product was fantastic. It looks like the floors were all laid together. He was super professional at all times, friendly, caring, and hardworking.

Jeff and his brother were on time every day. Started and finished the job when scheduled. Very professional. The only thing I would ask the next time I would have them do work, would be to lay a cover on the carpeted steps or hallway where they have to walk through every day. i definitely would recommend them to my friends and I would call them again. Jeff is a very trustworthy person and is a nice person.

Like probably most people, we?ve had both good and bad luck with contractors. When I think of even the best contractors we?ve had in the past, though, none of them really even come close to Jeff and Sam in terms of professionalism, attention to detail, and work product. Their work proved to be truly excellent. Expectations were very well-managed, we were extremely pleased with the flooring product itself, and the installation was flawless (and we spent quite some time going over every inch of those floors to ensure there were no issues). They were very careful with our furniture, and, throughout the installation process, they seemed to treat our house with the care that they would show in their own homes. In short, they really did an all-around outstanding job. Jeff is obviously someone who knows a great deal about every single flooring option out there, as well as best practices for installation. Before deciding on CLS, we met with two other contractors (both highly rated by Angie?s List), and, while they seemed fine as far as we could tell, neither seemed to possess Jeff?s knowledge and professionalism, his even-keel temperament, or his focus on setting and managing expectations (which happens to be a big deal for us). We went with CLS and we count ourselves lucky that we did. We would hire CLS without hesitation again. One thing: these guys are, as one would expect given the quality of their work, pretty busy, so keep that in mind as far as their availability to start a job is concerned and get on their schedule sooner rather than later.

We didn't use him because he didn't supply the hardwood and he solely did the install. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I appreciated his honesty and he wasn't just trying to make a sale.

Jeff quickly responded to my call requesting an estimate. After he visited our home and gave an estimate on a laminate, I changed my mind and chose a vinyl. Jeff gave us a new estimate that was lower than two other businesses I contacted. Jeff gave us excellent advice regarding the necessity of removing our existing floor so that the new floor would look perfect. He truly wanted us to be pleased with the results. He was prompt and professional. He and his coworker came early in the morning, took no breaks, and completed the job in three days. They went out of their way to minimize the mess that was the result of tearing up the existing tile floor. I highly recommend this family run business. A+!!!

Service was performed prompting and very professionally. We got together within a few days for him to make a bid on the job. The flooring came in over a couple of weeks at Christmas and was installed promptly after that. The result is marvelous.

Everything about him was excellent. He gave some recommendations and I took them and was very pleased with them. He was very efficient and I plan on using him for all my flooring work.

Our entire entry way and half of our entire 1st floor was crooked. We never thought it could be fixed. Jeff came to our home with samples and to assess the problem. It was the first flooring company that the person estimating the problem and cost would actually be doing the work. He also was the first person to offer us a solution that did not involve leveler, but fixing the problem for the long term. Upon completion, our entire first floor is level which we did not think was possible. In addition to the excellent quality of the installation, the products we had to choose from which included a laminate tile flooring and carpeting throughout my entire home have greatly improved the appearance of our home. CLS flooring was prompt with the setting up an estimate, got our job started in a timely manner, and completed the job when they said they would. We were extremely pleased with this company and highly recommend them.

Both Jeff and his brother Sam were very professional. They would clean the area frequently and made sure at the end of the day all areas were clean prior to their leaving for the day. The area where slate tiling was located they took great care in protecting so that dust did not get throughout the remainder of my home. They were very particular in getting there starting layout right prior to starting the hardwood flooring installation. They took great care during the installation to make sure all aspects of the installation was going right and that we were pleased with the work each day. They were a pleasure to work with on this project. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and Jeff, the owner, was very professional in all aspects of the job. Good company!!!

We were doing a full kitchen remodel that included some structural changes (knocking out of walls). We were looking to have flooring replaced in three areas, the dining room which was carpeted, the previous kitchen and an enclosed porch that shared a vinyl stick-on tile floor. Since our house is 80 years old, the different areas seemed to have somewhat different levels, and there was layer upon layer of old flooring in the kitchen - not a super straight-forward project. In addition, we were in the seventh month of pregnancy by the time of the initial contact, so there was a time pressure to get things completed before the due date. In talking to several different companies, every person said something different, esp. in regards to the transition from kitchen to enclosed porch and from dining room to kitchen. Jeff came out for our initial appt. and suggested an approach that we liked the best - he had noticed some details that others had not that and a potential solution that we liked best, which instead of just adding more layers involved taking up some layers from the kitchen. Also, his interaction with us was more personable and more as someone who really "does the work" vs. more of a salesman as with other companies. He had some samples of some pretty nice laminate wood product from a company we had never heard of, but was the thick 12mm kind and we liked it. The quote didn't come immediately, but Jeff provided it quickly after we called him - he was waiting on the company to get back to him with the price of the product we picked. The price quoted was a good price and we decided to proceed with CLS. Jeff seems pretty busy, so the timing of flooring removal and of the installation was a bit tricky because there were certain blocks of days he wasn't available. He did try to accomodate us, esp. given our situation of being well into to the ninth month of pregnancy by the time of the flooring installation. Also, our requests for scheduling were hectic and a bit on-the-fly, as our kitchen remodel ran into a snag needing permits/inspections from the city we didn't know we needed. In terms of the quality of the work, it was very good - again, from our perspective this was a relatively difficult project just because of all the transitions, unevenness of the floor, old house, etc. Jeff himself and one other person were the ones who did both the removal and the installation. The floor came out looking great!

Jeff was great from start to finish. The samples were brought to our house for us to review and his follow up was timely. We will be using him again when we do our next project.

Jeff responded promptly to our phone inquiry, and was very professional and informative. We decided to go with another company based on price, but we would call him in the future for other flooring needs.

CLS Flooring had a Big Deal on Angie's list that I purchased. This was my first big deal purchase and I did not know to read the fine print. I called CLS flooring to schedule them and found out that I was out of their location (I live in Beaver County and they don't typically do work in Beaver County ... and I guess the fine print said Alleghaney Count. Also, the fine print had a minimun amount of floor to purchase, and the floor that I needed replaced was under the minimum. The guy from CLS flooring was very apologetic, and suggested that I contact Angie's list to see if I could get a refund. He said that if Angie's List didn't offer me my refund, he would try and work with me so that I could at least have the money spent applied against any work that they would do ... even though they typically don't do work in Beaver County. I contacted Angie's list and they refunded my money. Kudos to Angie's List and also to CLS Flooring. I appreciated the offer from CLS flooring to try to help me. If CLS flooring did business in my area, I would certainly hire them! I also learned a very valuble lesson ... and that is to read the fine print on the big deals! :-)

Jeff was great! We appreciated his input when deciding between all the different carpet options. We were considering doing a runner on our stairs, and he talked us through the specifics. We ended up just going with all carpet and couldn't be happier with the results. They finished in the time frame that was originally given and came in at a reasonable price. I would absolutely recommend CLS Flooring and use them in the future for my flooring needs.

Things started great. Jeff was quick to return calls and did a quote fast and timely for my wood floors. Since I was having almost 1000 sqft done on my first floor, I couldn?t live in house while work was being done. Jeff estimated 5 days of work, and since I had a vacation coming up in a month the timing seemed like it would work out. However, once they began sanding, they felt the floor was worse than thought and instead of taking 1 day to sand, they spent three days. Jeff tested multiple colors and came up with the stain color I had originally requested, but he feared would be too red initially. They stained and polyed a single coat and asked I stay in a hotel for an additional night. When I got to my home, I was grossly disappointed. The color variation between near the walls and the rest of the floors was horrid. The stain looked like it had not been wiped down and took much deeper near all walls and baseboards. I called him immediately. Jeff felt it was due to the stain taking different due to grain left between sanders being different at baseboards vs. center of room. He said he never would have put on the poly had he noticed the color stratifications. Jeff and a buddy came then brought my oven and refrigerator/freezer back inside so I could at least function for a week until he could return to make things right. After he left and I opened refrigerator and freezer, I was aghast to see frozen chunks of ice in refrigerator and the freezer was one solid block of food. He had tarped it and plugged it in on my back deck while working, but whether the humidity or rain got to it, the contents were lost. They came and re-sanded the entire floor and re-stained and re-polyed two coats. I was out of town for two nights and spent three more in hotels (not consecutive) so that work could be done. The color is much better now, but unfortunately, the poly has many bubbles and dirt trapped in it. Jeff maintains that socks will wear it down over time and it will look more uniform. Jeff did make a partial $ allowance for unplanned hotel stays, meals I had to eat out the extra 4 days of hotel stays, and food lost in my freezer. But I still have to paint all the baseboards and quarter round that between the sanders and stain being slapped up from ¼? to 2? high around the floor, and figure out how to dust all the chandeliers and fans. (I had to wash every single item in kitchen cabinets that were coated with fine dust, which I semi-expected). Jeff tried very hard to make me happy. He told me it was absolutely the best they could do. And compared to some contractors, it was fair/good work, albeit many unplanned surprises. I think for a smaller job, Jeff would have been great. This was just too big, with too many variables. If I had to do it over again, I would have gone with a new floor at twice the cost.

Overall a wonderful experience. Met with Jeff Bruno (owner), reviewed available wood options. Once we selected a wood, we placed the order and scheduled installation. Jeff and another employee arrived as planned each day, worked well, were clean throughout the whole process, and finished on time. We are very pleased with the result.

This was a difficult installation because the old tiles were over concrete (a former front porch) and the floor was uneven. Jeff had to install an underlayer, cut the new tiles to fit, and install them. Jeff did a fine job of figuring how to even the floor. He is worth the money, and was especially good with an old (1914) house.

Job went well. I would not reccommend buying the coupon on Angie's list however.

CLS did a fantastic job from start to finish. Jeff came out and measured the unit and was able to provide an estimate within 24 hours. We agreed on a price, set a date to start the job, and I paid 50% of the total estimate as a deposit. Jeff and his crew showed up on time, each day for 4 days. The finished product was beautiful, we were extremely impressed with CLS' work! CLS did a great job cleaning up the unit, and I paid the remaining fee upon completion of the work. The fee was exactly what was stated in my estimate, not a penny more. I would highly recommend CLS!

These guys were great from the beginning. They took their time and made the floors absolutely beautiful. They were very conscientious, keeping with work area sealed off from the house so there will little to no dust outside the rooms being refinished. The smell of stain and finish is not to be underestimated, but that has nothing to do with the quality of work, and is something you need to be aware of when doing the refinishing. They were very concerned about keeping those areas masked off and venting outside the house to reduce any smells as much as possible. I have heard many people tell me you have to leave your house when refinishing hardwood floors, but we didn't need to do any of that. Other contractors and carpeting people have all commented on how beautiful the refinished floors are. These are definitely the guys you want!

They cancelled my appointment by email because they had lost my cell phone number. I do not check my email daily, this is the reason I gave them my cell. So my basic complaint is that it's sloppy business to lose customer's phone numbers and only advise them by email when you are not going to honor an appointment. In fairness, the person I spoke with was very courteous and apologetic, and things happen. But like many people, I arranged my day to accommodate this appointment and it was pretty inconvenient to have it cancelled without explanation and without a phone call. For that reason, I wouldn't use this company's services, because it's not a good sign of what I can expect.
