The owner Jeff was really great to work with. He was extremely responsive. He answered or returned calls promptly. He came himself to measure, look at samples and provide suggestions / advice and quoted the work. During the job Jeff kept us fully informed on progress every day. He did run into a few complications (no fault of his), but still managed to get the job done with only a 4 hour delay overall; 14.5 days to complete the estimated 14 day job. The wood we ordered for downstairs did not come with transitions, so Jeff took the time to expertly match the unique gray/blue color and make transitions from scratch that look perfect. Jeff took great care in attention to detail, cleaning up after himself every day, moving furniture back in the right spots. He took the time to show us how to fix scratches in the future, and left us with the right color puddy's, stain markers, and custom stain he made. He walked through every room with us on completion to be sure we were 100% happy with the job and touched up any areas or issues we wanted. He even offered to come back anytime if we had a problem or founds something later that bothered us. He was punctual, professional, friendly and very considerate. We would use him again or recommend him to anyone!

Some minor issues, but overall, work went like clockwork. Good workers, good cleanup and good response to minor problems.

They were a great family owned company. From choosing the samples to the installation, they were on time, professional, and were very courteous. We are very happy!

Jeff did a great job installing our hardwood floors in our entry, family room, kitchen, den and hallways of our new home. He came when he said he would and finished in a timely matter. He cleaned up after himself. When he finished the job, he put a protective covering over the hardwood so the other contractors on the job wouldn't scratch our new floor. He was very professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get hardwood flooring. We couldn't have asked for a better job.

Adam and Sam were the installers and a delight to work with. They arrived promptly each morning and left the areas clean when leaving for the evening. The new flooring, quality of workmanship and product exceeded my expectations.

The work provided to me by CLS Flooring went very well. There's just the three of them and they work together well. They were real craftsmen with hardwood floors. I could really trust them in my house. The floors came out great. They did a great job and they were trustworthy.

Jeff, Adam, and Sam did a great job installing the new oak floor and refinishing the existing hardwood to match. The project took 6 days to remove carpet, prepare subfloors, remove shoe molding, move furniture, install new floor, sand old and new floors and put on finish coatings. They found some surprises that made things harder to do, but adapted to each challenge. Good workers, good products, great finished floor. They also beat the price of a very good competitor.

Jeff was excellent to work with. He explained the entire process up front. He used a sander that vacuumed the dust up as it went. To eliminate the dust further he placed plastic over the doorways that would be exposed. He was very conscientious and paid attention to every detail. It was a four day job that got started on time each day. There were no surprises and our floors look like new! Very pleased!

CLS Flooring was the third company to come to our house with pricing. I found them on Angie?s List. I gave Jeff, the owner, an idea of what we wanted and he brought samples. The samples were exactly what we were looking for. He explained the differences in quality between the product he was offering and the competitor?s products. We have a dog and were worried about scratches on our new floor; he explained to us how durable laminate is and said the dog wouldn?t be an issue. That day we decided to go with Jeff and CLS Flooring, a few days later he came back and gave us a hard and fair price, we signed the paperwork and scheduled him to come back in less than a month. Jeff and his brother were the ones that showed up at our house to do the work. I was able to stay home on Wednesday when they started but had to work Thursday and Friday. Jeff had no problem coming to the house with no one home and said he does that quite often. We did take our dog to Camp Bow Wow on those days so she wasn?t barking all day. He called a couple times with questions and suggestions which made me feel as though I was in the loop. I appreciated that. The floor was almost completely installed in two days ? leaving the third day for the finish work. We were happy with how quickly the floor was put down and the final product. Jeff and his brother were extremely professional and helpful all through the process.

What a wonderful job! Jeff the owner, came to my home, analyzed the job, and provided me a very fair price. they fit my job in very quickly. Then his crew showed up on time and worked very hard to restore my floors. The dust free process made everything better. The crew was trustworthy and reliable. As a single woman, I felt very comfortable with them in my home. The job was perfect. Jeff was not happy with a few wood boards, and replaced them. I would never have noticed. Not corners were cut and they did a wonderful job. I am thrilled with the way the floors came out. I would highly recommend this company.

They were very patient with the selection and scheduling process. Once the work was scheduled , they were very prompt and made every effort to minimi]ze the disruption of the process. The furniture in every room had to be moved to accomodate the carpeting, closets had to be emptied and the preocess was very professional and designed to minimize disruption. The best part was the replacement of the tile flooring - what a dirty job. The installation of the new hardwood floor is simply beautiful. An Excellent job through out. I would definitely reccomend Jeff and his company for flooring. A great job at a reasonable price.

an A+++ job.. Price was right and installation was excellent. They met our exacting standards for craftsmen today. They came when they said they would . They did what they said they would. and it turned out fantastiic! Done during winter and did not slop anything into house. Planned project immaculately - whole house means we had to remove furntiture and clean closets and had to have a place to put it. Great experience

We felt comfortable with Jeff, the owner of CLS Flooring from the very start. The quality and value of the product exceeded some of the flooring we had seen at other name brand and big box stores. He and his crew, Sam and Adam were extremely professional, courteous, and hard working. They showed up when they said they would and worked straight through the day. They showed respect for our belongings and our comments. It just seemed like they actually cared about what the finished result would look like... and it is gorgeous! We were very pleased with this company and would highly recommend them to anyone. We will also use them again in the future when we do the next level of our house! We found them through Angie's list and the information we received from the site proved to be true.

The job went very well. We received quotes from three other companies and CLS was slightly the cheapest. What really sold us was Jeff himself; he was very knowledgeable and installed the floors himself on one of the days. I had read on the internet that the floors should be acclimated in your house before installation to allow the moisture content to adjust and Jeff was the only one that offered to do this. He also removed the baseboards instead of using shoe molding as some of the other contractors wanted to do. We were originally scheduled for Thursday and Friday, but they got behind on another job and instead did Friday and Saturday. Jeff explained what he was doing throughout the process and took the time to layout the room before nailing down to have a nice variation across the floor instead of having patches of the same color (Kempas has a lot of variation in the wood). He also rounded the edges of the wood where it meets the carpet which was a nice touch. Sam and Chris installed the second day and also did a nice job. I would recommend Jeff to anyone.

The floors look great - they were very thorough in the detail work. (Bonus points awarded for the gentleman who went perfectly around our rounded bottom step and tiled fireplaces measuring and cutting only once) Jeff also worked with me to preserve the pocket doors before installing the floor around them. Overall, I'm very satisified with the work performed. They were not the lowest quote that we recieved, but I felt that Jeff would be the best fit for my situation. I have a old, not too square, not too level, reasonably complicated floorplan, and I needed someone who could be flexible and logical in their solutions.

The job went very well. They communicated what they were going to do and kept me up-to-speed when I asked questions. They anticipated issues that I had not thought of and came up with reasonable solutions. The installation was quick and exactly as ordered. They were very courteous about keeping things clean and protecting the already-installed hardwood. Overall, it is tough to find an affordable, responsive and available contractor in Pittsburgh. CLS is one of the few that we have found.

They arrived on time and did an excellent job. We were satisfied with their work and they cleaned up after themselves. Additionally they were quick and able to finish the work in a single day. They did a good job.

Jeff and his crew did a great job. We appreciated the fact that Jeff took the time to thoroughly explain our options to us, as well as to talk us through how the work would progress. He kept the lines of communication open throughout the project, which we also really appreciated. The workmanship is quite good. Jeff and his crew were efficient and didn't waste time, but they also didn't hurry through the job. Jeff especially went the extra mile when it came to the work on our staircase. He tried a lot of different stains on a sample tread in order to find one that most closely matched our existing stair railings. The choice was ultimately up to our family, but we liked the fact that he gave us several choices and worked hard to find the closest matches possible. Overall, our experience with CLS Flooring was a very positive one, and we'd highly recommend the company to other families looking for quality workmanship at a competitive price and friendly, conscientious customer service.

This was the second time we've used CLS Flooring, and we have been extremely satisfied both times. Jeff and Sam are neat, careful and quite professional throughout the job. This job involved moving and reinstalling a washer an dryer. Getting these in and out of the laundry room was quite a task, but they managed it without damaging anything in the process. The results were quite good. We are very happy with the finished product and would recommend them to others.

Was never able to get to the performance stage. I run a business, and I know that responsiveness is a necessity. Who would possibly trust a job in their house to someone that doesn't instill confidence?

The communication was excellent. Jeff provided advice on what to expect before we signed an agreement with him and followed up on everything we discussed. They called to finalize the work schedule and arrived when expected. Sam and Adam, CLS employees were organized and focused, very hardworking. Jeff checked in repeatedly on the progress and confirmed the work schedule so we knew how to plan our time to coordinate with their work. The new oak flooring was almost completely installed the first day. The second day they finished the installation and started sanding both floors. The third day was all sanding, the fourth day was finish sanding and staining, The last two days were for the application of the finish. We abandoned the house for staining and finishing because the areas of floors that were being finished separated us from our bathrooms. I was there for the floor installation and sanding, and it was surprisingly dust-free, my son and I made much more dust tearing up the old kitchen floor before CLS came in to finish the job. The floors were sanded very smooth, but not perfectly flat, there are some minor waves in the surface and a few spots of uneven sanding. These are minor and were not visible until the finish was applied. The appearance is fine for traditional or rustic styled homes but I would not recommend it for a sleek contemporary home. We selected a matte finish; a high-gloss finish would accentuate the deviations from horizontal. We're delighted with our new floors. The CLS company logo says "Integrity, Quality, Service" I found this to be an accurate description and highly recommend them.

Jeff and Sam did an excellent job. We were very pleased with the result. They came when they said they were going to, and the job worked our exactly as Jeff said it would. At the end of every day, they cleaned up; there was no mess at all. When the job was finished, they helped us put protective pads on all of the heavy furniture and the piano. Overall, we are very happy with the work that was done; it looks great. Jeff was thorough, and he made sure everything looked great. He took particular care in the boundaries between rooms. He and Sam were also pleasant to be around. We would recommend them to anyone, and in fact, we are having them do some ceramic tile installtion in our laundry room.

The work was scheduled to begin on Thursday October 17 and was estimated to be completed on Wednesday October 23. Jeff and his crew arrived promptly at 8am on 10/17 to begin the work as scheduled. Within 15 minutes after beginning tear out an unexpected problem presented itself in the dining area. When the existing hardwoods were pulled up, it was.found that the underlying subfloor was insufficient to support the work. Jeff immediately assessed the situation and offered an alternative solution to both overcome the unanticipated issue as well as to accommodate another' known challenge involving clearance for the kitchen door. The assessment of the issue and the identification of an excellent solution were done quickly and expertly. It also quickly became apparent that the job was going to be more challenging and labor intensive overall. However Jeff and his crew continued to work extremely hard, showing professionalism, quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and conscientiousness. The work ended up taking an additional day+ to complete and Jeff put in several long days to ensure that it did not take any longer than that and that the entire job was completed according to his high standards. I have an absolutely stunning new floor in my kitchen dining area that exceeds my expectations. Even though the work was considerably more difficult and labor intensive than originally anticipated, Jeff and CLS stuck to the original price quoted. It was worth every penny and we have already recommended Jeff and CLS to friends. We will using them again when we replace the carpeting in our living room in a few months.

Jeff came to our home promptly and gave us all available options and pricing without any pressure. Jeff and his crew showed up every morning exactly on time and ready to go until completion. When issues came up Jeff personally attended to them and worked until they were completely resolved. The finished product is beautiful. CLS is one of the few company's I've worked with recently who take this level of pride in their work and pays close attention to the small details. Can't say enough good thing about Jeff and his crew.
