CLS Flooring

The floors in the house are over 100yrs old and they came out looking like new. Jeff was easy to work with and we appreciated his attention to detail when going over the scope of the project with my husband. The crew did a great job on all of the patches and finishing, we had one small issue where it looks like they may have spilled polyurethane, but we contacted Jeff and he sent them back to fix it right away no questions asked. My only other thing is that I am a stickler for paperwork and would have preferred a written estimate and to see the contract ahead of signing it, but that didn't impact the work. They may not have been the cheapest but they more than made up for it in the quality, highly recommended.

Jeff is very professional and honest. He comes out to explain everything and wants to make the job perfect. I hired him because he was very detail oriented and meticulous. The people working for him were very professional. I would use Jeff's company again in a heartbeat.

Jeff is great!! He comes right to your home with samples and discusses the project taking measurements. He is very patient and wants you to be confident in your selection of flooring. He actually made several trips out to the house with samples before we made a final decision. He never pressures you and has great recommendations regarding products as well as a wide variety. He took his time and discussed what the job would entail, how long it would take and what needed to occur for it to look perfect. He was dead-on with his start date and finish date and was never late to an appointment. Our floors on the main living level were not all the same height and he discussed what should be done to make it level with the hardwood floors we wanted. He knows his business well and how to do it right!! He also discussed how some flooring companies just come in and lay the floor but his crew will screw down any loose subflooring so there will not be any creaks later on, etc. He is passionate about the work that he dose and it showed in the final product. We had nearly the entire house refloored and couldnt be happier. With Jeff it wasn't about the money it was about us being happy with the final product and he even talked me out of an unnecessary expense when I mentioned I was thinking to hardwood the stairs but our budget was getting stretched. He mentioned that unless hardwooding the hallway upstairs he wouldnt recommend it because it would be a significant cost and not necessary as most people dont and the carpet would look fine (he was right!). Additionally, he had leftover carpet and txted me, "would you like us to carpet the downstairs basement stairs?" This was not part of the quote and not expected and they did it at no additional charge. The workers are very courteous and thoughtful always being respectful of space and mess and did a wonderful job cleaning up afterwards. Sam spent time with me discussing the work as it was progressing and was very considerate and friendly. Jeff has a great and respectful crew, it was a big project and they worked fast but were meticulous in their detail. We are so happy with our new floors. I highly recommend CLS Flooring, Jeff and his crew are great and will have my business if we ever need anything else!! They do the job right!

Jeff and his crew are truly wonderful. I'm especially impressed with his crew Sam and Jamie. They are extremely detail oriented and did a great job on installation the hardwood floor. On top of the the quality work, they never get sick of answering my numerous questions, very patient folks. There was a hiccup in my laundry room project due to a drain issue. It is not really their responsibility to fix the drain, but Jeff came back three times personally just trying to fix it and he did it! I don't think your project will go wrong with them at all. Compared with other companies, their price is good too.

Jeff was incredibly helpful throughout the process. He recommended a great product and went above and beyond to help me get exactly what I wanted. He made my needs a priority and even drove to me to meet and sign paperwork. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

They did a great job. They took out the old floor and installed the new one in the time quoted. The installers were on time, polite and cleaned up after themselves every evening. The floors looks great, I couldn't be happier. I will be calling them again to install tile!

The job they did was excellent. The process was smooth and the end result is fantastic. We were originally only going to install new hardwood in the family room, but Jeff explained the benefits of refinishing the dining room at the same time. And he was right. They even helped me with some existing transitions that I didn't like. It was a lot of work so the process took about two weeks to finish, but they were there almost every day even if it was only to do the tasks for that day. And they made sure to call several times during the process to make sure I knew what would be coming next.

I contacted Jeff Bruno for a quote to install kitchen flooring during a recent kitchen remodel. He was prompt in his appointment and in providing the quote. He also contacted the manufacturer to determine if a sub-floor (Luan board) was needed for proper adhesion, which it was. We were able to schedule the flooring install within the parameters of the other trades: cabinets & electrician. Thus minimizing the disruption of being without a kitchen during the remodel. Jeff's crew was prompt on the day of install. They carefully moved the appliances onto wood floor protectors in the dining room. They installed the luan sub-floor & sealed the seams. Then carefully laid out the tile design, spread the adhesive, and laid each tile precisely, with spacers. The next day they returned to grout and install shoe molding. The appliances were not moved back until the cabinet installation was completed. Jeff's crew made a special trip to get the correct sized spacers and another trip at the end to buy a special threshold piece that more closely matched the flooring material. There was a lot grout residue with this particular product and Jeff's crew returned on two days to remedy the issue. Jeff also contacted the manufacturer for their special product to remove the grout residue, and returned in person to complete the clean-up. The floor looks great! Jeff and his crew worked hard to make sure the installtion was perfect and the customer completely satisfied. I would recommend Jeff Bruno & CLS Flooring to other customers. I think you will be satisfied with the beautiful results in your home.

Jeff promptly arrived to give an estimate for our job. We were intalling hardwood throughout our home, upstairs and down. We also were having oak treads installed on our steps. He provided samples and was very detailed of the installation process. The wood arrived and was spread out throughout our home. When it came time to install the crew was very thorough. They took their time to make sure the wood was spaced correctly and the runs were not too similiar. They also took the extra step of sanding down two bull nose pieces of existing wood and staining them to match the floor. Jeff took the time to make sure the stain on the steps matched and it turned out perfectly. The crew also painted all of the quarter round before installation. Overall the job took around two weeks to complete and we could not be happier. We received 4 other estimates and while CLS was not the lowest of the 4 it was well worth the attention to detail that was spent and the peace of mind that the job was going to be done professionally.

Very knowledgeable about the material and the installation of the hardwood floor. His crew was very professional. Extremely clean. Always took time to clean up when they were through for the day. Completed project on time. Extremely pleased with workmanship. Flooring looks terrific. Jeff was very easy to talk to. Jeff promptly set up a in-home consultation to look at our project and provide us with samples to look through. He was very detailed in the description of the options available and had great suggestions on color. We narrowed it down to a few hardwood selections and mulled it over for a few days. Jeff provided quotes for the selections we made. Jeff returned to our home at our request to review the samples once more and make sure we were confident in our choice. Throughout the ordering and delivery process of the flooring Jeff provided updates and was always willing to answer his phone if we had any questions. The delivery of materials and installation began right on time as promised. Jeff's crew was excellent, they took their time and made sure that everything lined up properly. Our midcentury modern home was built in the early 60's and had unique and challenging issues, Jeff's crew went out of their way to make sure everything looked wonderful. They kept the workspace clean at the end of each work day. I chose CLS Flooring due to the exceptional reviews here on Angie's List and I am glad to add to that chorus. If you are looking for flooring in the Pittsburgh area, Jeff and CLS Flooring is absolutely the way to go, don't hesitate.

CLS does very nice work. Considering the age of the floors, they were in great condition, but they now look almost new! They're gorgeous. However, before the work began there was a 3'x3' area in the living room at the front entrance which, for several years, was becoming damp in humid weather, damaging the wood. Not knowing how that area would take the stain I was pleasantly surprised when the damp wood appeared to be sanded off and took the stain nicely. Unfortunately, after the first coat of polyurethane dried, it began to peel from the damaged area. Jeff's crew re-sanded the area, and re-applied stain and a different polyurethane sealant, but it left an obvious, unevenly stained area that extended beyond the 3'x3' area. Jeff was determined to fix the problem quickly and sent his crew the next day to re-do 1/3 of the living room floor (about 80 square feet) from start to finish, in order to blend the stain. The finished job is beautiful and there has been no peeling. Also, there was no added repair cost. My only disappointment is that Jeff wasn't present to oversee the repair job. Had he been there, there might not have been a need to re-do 1/3 of the living room which added an extra day or 2 to the job and lots of sanding dust. Admittedly, it was worth the wait (but maybe not the dust ?)! Overall, I was very pleased.

The owner Jeff personally answered my call and scheduled in house meeting. He gave us the available flooring option in our budget. We decided to take one more quote to checkout the price. I got back to Jeff informing him about my shopping with other installer. He did price match and promised to install our carpet before we move in. He adjusted his schedule and sent his guys to take care of the job. His associates were very professional and were experienced. They stretched the carpet where it was required and installed new carpet in two areas. I would hire them for my future projects.

Jeff and his crew were great to deal with and did a terrific job. He was very patient, thorough and honest in explaining what the work would entail. Sam and Adam did a beautiful job of installing the floor, and kept the mess to a minimum. Highly recommend them.

it went fabulously well. As stated above when the old carpet was ripped up the floor underneath was found to be concrete in wretched shape. This was in an older condo in Shadyside. Because the floor was concrete, a floating engineered wood floor had to be the type to be installed. Jeff and his crew were the ultimate professionals.. They repaired the concrete so it would be level for the floor installation. They hand scraped all the crumbling concrete and installed the most beautiful floor imaginable. There was one little area where the floor was not quite laying as it should because of the miserable concrete and when called during the installation Jeff came all the way from Cannonsburg immediately and tore up several boards and must have spent two hours making it perfect. Jeff kept in constant touch with my daughter who lives in the condo and always answered his calls immediately. They always came on time, worked very hard and were perfect gentlemen. They never left any dirt or dust behind. This company Jeff, his brother Sam and assistant Adam were wonderful and did an absolutely fantastic job. We are planning to have them back to finish the rest of the condo . I cannot say enough good things about this company. Their price was very reasonable and their workmanship was superb.I would recommend them to anyone without reservation.! Fantastic job.

His estimate seemed fair and there were no tricks or deceptions. Even the time span estimate was right on. Nice attention to all details and keeping us informed day to day and dealing with our concerns and questions along the way.. Jeff's brother Sam was onsite at all times applying years of professional skill and is equally appreciated. Jeff was very responsive right from the beginning. He not only answered my questions, but explained the reasoning for why he did certain things which helped me make more informed decisions. He's an honest guy and very straightforward. Him and his crew do great work, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to install or refinish floors. We've actually asked them to come back and put the same flooring down in one of our bedrooms. All in all, GREAT WORK!
