Description of Work: Replaced motor in furnace. Went very well

Description of Work: We've used Christy's about 5-6 times in the past and have always had good results so we contacted them regarding a broken sewer pipe in the basement of our 1914 house. The broken section of pipe was the bottom part of the vertical stack where it went into the concrete floor so we anticipated that the job would include digging up an unknown amount of the floor which turned out to be the case. When I called Christy's (located about 5 miles from us), the owner Larry came out to look at the job within an hour, which was great. He sent an estimate a few days later. The guy who did the work was Al, who has done work for us before and is very good. It was not cheap but then plumbers never are. We didn't bother to get other estimates due to our past relationship and the urgency of the problem. Al did have to excavate about 5 square feet of the floor but it could have been worse. He installed a new section of pipe together with a cleanout and also redid and simplified some adjoining problematic sections of pipe above floor level. The entire job took a day and a half. The upshot is that they fixed the problem, did it quickly and professionally, and cleaned up afterward. I thought the price was a little steep but not shockingly so. We did get a good job and I wouldn't hesitate to use Christy's again but in the future I'll get a couple of estimates as I usually do. This was a nasty job and I'm not sure anybody else would have done it cheaper, or at least cheaper for the same quality work. Christy's promptness in the initial response as well as in getting the work done was much appreciated and distinguishes this company from many of its competitors. They're also friendly and easy to deal with.

Description of Work: The worker was investigating the low water pressure into the house. Was able to determine that an existing water reduction value was on the system and removed it. In addition the he was able to provide some alternative to improve the current situation. (with follow-up)
