They put a hole in my pipe with the snake, said the drain was unclogged. The drain was still clogged, they put a hole in the pipe. The water collected for about 4 days then started to come down my living room walls. Christy's would not come see it for 1 week, and wanted PAID to come. I got Professional Plumbers to come, he replaced the pipe that Christy's put a hole in and stopped the waterfall. Wouldn't use Christy's to fix a dog house.

If you think that $600 is a fair price for the installation of one P Trap under a bathroom sink, these are your guys. Plumber did more talking than work and we paid for all of it. Will never again consider them for any work.

They were professional and on time. They didn't recommend things that weren't necessary, which some providers do. They were fair.

They're fabulous. They come quickly. I have no one to compare them to for price because they're the only ones we've used. It cost a lot of money for a new air conditioner.

Technician was prompt and kind. Correctly diagnosed issue (refrigerant leak). Leak was repaired. He checked remaining connections for leaks, cleaned off the unit, and performed checks to ensure unit was running properly before leaving. He didn't seem rushed to "get to the next job" without properly completing his task. I will be calling them again for any future issues.

They were great! Arrived promptly. The serviceman, Bob, was very friendly and explained exactly what was needed. He did NOT try to sell me anything that I didn't need. He was knowledgeable and efficient. I think that the price was reasonable. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Came home work to find my boiler would not ignite and there was no heat in the house. Temperature was slated to drop into the low single digits that night, so I called Christy's to come check it out as soon as possible. They came within an hour and notified me well in advance that there would be an emergency service rate billed for the visit since it was after normal business hours, which is typical of most situations like this and totally understandable in my opinion. The technician was friendly and spent some time troubleshooting the boiler but was unable to get it going again that night due to unavailability of parts. Offered to run back to the shop to loan me several space heaters, but I had a few on hand and said it wasn't necessary. Same tech returned the following morning at 8AM on the dot and was able to finally determine that the vent damper had failed and was constantly opening and closing which caused the ignition module to burn out. He replaced both parts and was nice enough to get on the phone with my home warranty company and explain everything he did. No problems at all since then. Total cost reflects parts and labor, including the emergency visit. I will definitely use Christy's in the future. Great local company.

They came out to service the furnace which was a 250 fee said heat exchanger was cracked and that my Aunt needed a new furnace. At least they were honest enough to not replace the ignition module for $400 but they gave a quote of $4600 for a new 70k BTU furnace with 95% efficiency. We almost went with it but I decided to get another quote. The furnace was installed today by another company for $2,500 for a 70k BTU 95% efficiency furnace and they did an amazing job.

I noticed that there is water on my basement floor around the hot water heater. I concluded that there is a leak in the tank itself as I could not find any water near any values or pipes. The tank is also at least 15 years old, so I came to the conclusion that the leak is at the the bottom of the tank and it is probably time to replace it. I first noticed the water on the floor around 8:00 PM in the evening (day 1). The amount of water on the floor is small, but I do not think it is going to go away by itself if I ignored the problem. I figured that the office was probably closed at that time of night, and this could wait at least a day. I found the website for this company and I used the contact us webpage to send my contact information, a description of what services I needed which was basically a plumber to come to my home, inspect the tank and tell me what was wrong. Or in other words, I wanted a professional plumber to confirm my diagnosis. I figured someone would see my request in the morning and call me. That was a incorrect assumption. I was not contacted the next day (day 2), so I called the phone number on their website. I do not remember the exact time, but it was near the end of my work day. The woman who answered the phone said the office was already closed and that I had reached their answering service. I gave my name and number, explained that I submitted information via their website, what I was requesting, and specifically that I would like a return call the next day. By noon on day 3, still no contact. This was roughly a day and a half after I sent the information via the web. I still had not received any email or call from this company. I had expected a call that morning after I had left a message with an answering service. I am not sure why I did not receive any response, since I am willing to pay for a plumber to possibly replace a hot water heater. I am sure this is not the biggest type of job for a plumbing company, but it is a potential paying job. This experience was very disappointing, as I have received services from this company in the past without any problems. Not sure where the disconnect was. Regardless, I gave up and contacted another plumbing company that was well reviewed on Angie's List. As the old saying goes, people will vote with their feet and their wallets. I will pay someone else to perform the services I requested.

I have used Christy's in the past for work and they are always reliable and do good work. This went very well. I have had enough experience with them that I was comfortable giving them access to the house while I was away. The plumber who came identified the problem and solved it as well as check my main line. I received a full report and everything was squeaky clean when he was done. The toilet in the basement bath had also started to be a problem so he installed a new ADA compliant toilet, had to excavate the floor to meet code in how it was installed, and left that working beautifully as well as cleaned up. I recommend Christy's, they don't do what is not necessary and will give you good advice on what you should and should not spend money on.

After two nights of the thermostats at 40 degrees, I called Christy Plumbing first thing the next morning and they sent technician Bob out pretty quickly. He was at the house a little before 8:30 a.m. There was a part that needed to be replaced that Bob had to drive downtown to get but he got back before the time he had anticipated and he finished up around lunchtime. Bob was wonderful in that he took the time to explain what was wrong, what was fixed, and areas that needed some attention in the future. For example, we have 3 pump controllers in the basement from a system that was built in the 1950s and he recommended replacing 2 out of the three soon. He also took a look at our thermostats and suggested that we consider swapping these out at some point - they are standard big box basic models. He gave me a ball park price on what to expect to pay when we decided to replace the controllers and swap out the thermostats and he took the time to write down the replacement part numbers so that when we are ready to move forward with these additional projects, that information would be readily available. I would recommend Christy Plumbing in a heartbeat to anyone and everyone - they were fantastic.

They refused to put in a new water heater without putting in an overflow bladder and the quality of the job that they ended up doing was satisfactory. We have had good luck with the water heater and we would probably use them again in the future.

The old garbage disposal stopped working unexpectedly and left us with a side sink full of water that would take hours to drain. Christly plumbing responded as soon as called, brought and installed a new disposal with no problems. We havve used then for other plunmbing issues and have always been pleased with their prompt response, good work and reasonable prices. I would recommend them anytime.

Came as promised the next day after my call even though major storms had ravaged Pittsburgh that morning and more were on the way. The technician was very professional and friendly. The problem was all in the electrical system and he replaced the parts quickly after having to go back to the shop to get them, as my unit is an odd size. A less scrupulous contractor might have tried to sell me a new condensor unit. YES, I would recommend them to a friend.

We have been using them for about 25 years and they do great work. I like their quality of work and the pricing is competitive. I also like their timeliness and the guys who come to do the work are always friendly. They do a great job and the strongest endorsement I can give is that I have been using them for 25 years.

They arrived on time, they were very neat, clean, and friendly. I would highly recommend them. I have only used them twice, but they are very effective. I felt that the price was very fair.

I was satisfied with the job that was done. Although this may have been a straightforward repair, I called a plumber as I was not sure how much work was going to be needed. I would call this company again for more serious issues.

We've been using this company for over 15 years (since we bought our home) and they have always been prompt, courteous, professional, and they provide excellent service - always! Among other things, Christy's has been servicing my 1960s boiler and heating system, and they always manage to keep it running at a reasonable price. They always answer all my questions honestly (and I ask a lot!). This is a really excellent company. This is how a plumbing and heating company should be. I recommend them highly to all my neighbors and friends.

The serviceman who came was named Al. The problem was our kitchen sink drain / garbage disposal was becoming increasingly slow. Al came on Monday afternoon, within the window I had agreed to. He looked at the sink, and then went into the crawl space under our house to look at the pipes and the connection to the sewer. He then went about using the snake on the drain, but he determined that the problem was in the connection to the sewer in the crawl space. He explained that he would need more equipement and another serviceman to get to the problem area. He gave me the option of returning later that evening, or returning in the morning. I told him I would rather him come back first thing the next morning, than pay the extra for overtime that day. He called me the first thing the next morning, and explained that as he thought about the problem, he figured it would be better to just replace the pipes connecting to the sewer. He said that the pipes installed in a kitchen remodel a few years ago (by another plumber) were not large enough to accomodate the 4" drain that had also been installed. He said that he could bring another man to just remove the clog, or he could come by himself, which would cost less, and replace that section of pipe, so that the problem wouldn't happen again in the future. I agreed to have him replace the pipes. ... Al himself was great. He was friendly, personable, and professional. He explained things very well. He was respectful of my home, my costs, and my time.

I think they are pretty honest and straight forward on pricing and they are very prompt. I don't think they are the cheapest but it's fair.
