Carl was excellent to deal with. He called back soon after we called , gave us an estimate and completed the job in very good timing. He explained everything and was a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely use him again.

Mr. Frank returned my call the same day, leaving complete information about how to go about determining whether the tile I needed to remove was made of asbestos. Fortunately it did not. He responded very quickly and gave thorough information. I certainly would have followed up further with this company had I needed their services.

Carl was fantastic. Spoke with him late Monday afternoon, he came out early Tuesday morning to inspect the duct work, he cleaned up part of the asbestos paper that had fallen off, provided us with a quote, and was back first thing Thursday morning to finish the job. Excellent service, highly recommended.

The whole process was fantastic. Frank was very helpful during our first phone conversation and referred us to a local lab to use to test tile samples. He wanted to save us the cost of removal had the tiles not contained asbestos. When the test results came back positive for asbestos, we were able to reach Frank and schedule the removal for the following week. The crew that came was fast, efficient, informative and thorough.

Very good experience. I'm selling my house and called the asbestos abatement company suggested by my realtor--three times over two weeks without any response. I checked the list and read all of the favorable reviews of Carl Frank Ind. My experience agrees with these other assessments. I received a call back on the same day; Carl came to see the work needed on the next day. He thoroughly described the work needed and sent the written specifications for the materials he intended to use. He scheduled the work within three days; it was completed in about four hours. I was completely satisfied with the careful work done, impressed with Carl's knowledge and professionalism, and very happy to have the work done so quickly.

The (six layers of) tile had already been removed from our kitchen and discarded before a friend mentioned the risk of asbestos in the tiles or mastic. Carl replied to my phone call quickly and recommended that I start by testing the tiles (the area hadn't been cleaned yet and there were lots of scraps around) and gave me the info for an independent lab that he recommends. When the lab results came back positive (one of the tile layers was 5 percent asbestos), Carl set up an appointment. His assessment was that because the tiles were not in crumbling shape and hadn't been ground to a fine powder (by sanding or drilling) that the health dangers were relatively low, especially considering the whole house is under construction and has brick dust and plaster dust everywhere. He said he could do the clean up job, but that he wouldn't be doing anything that I couldn't do myself. He then spent the next half hour going over the steps to clean the areas of the house. I never got the impression that he was trying to avoid taking the job, as he really did take quite a bit of time to answer all my specific questions about the clean-up procedure. Very generous. And he also recommended afterward (after all the construction work was done) to have the same independent lab do an air test for asbestos just to double check.

The experience was great. Carl came when he said he would and did more than required. He noticed asbestos tile on the backsplash in the laundry room and removed it and did not change final bill. The work took two days and he did a great job. I would definitely use him again if I ever need this kind of service.

Our home was built in 1932, and had asbestos insulation around all of the boiler piping in the basement and garage. Based upon other reviews on Angie's List, I called and requested an estimate. Carl quickly gave us an estimate that was reasonable. He told us it would be about two weeks until he would be able to do the work, and he was true to his word. They set up a plastic barrier around the work area, wet down the asbestos-covered pipes, and removed the asbestos from the pipes. They disposed of all of the asbestos. A third-party performed an air sampling and analysis service and determined that it met EPA levels. We also got a detailed report of the results. They were great to work with and extremely professional. I would highly recommend Carl Frank Industries.

They were very professional. They sent me documentation of where the asbestos was stored, because you can't just dump it.

Our existing asbestos tile floor in the basement was starting to crumble, so we knew we had to get rid of it quickly. On a recommendation from another contractor (who didn't do asbestos removal), we called Carl Frank to do the work. Frank came out, was able to give a quick estimate, and explained the entire procedure to us. From the first call to the work being done it only took maybe a week/week and a half, and that was more due to my schedule than theirs. They taped everything off, and ran an air cleaner the whole time. They were even able to get the tile out from under the furnace and water heater somehow. It was about a 660 sq. ft basement, and it only took them half a day to get the job done. They provided a certificate that they had done the abatement when they were done. I would have no reservations about hiring them again. Their price was so reasonable, I wouldn't even think about cutting corners to have someone else do it cheaper.

My initial contact with Carl/Frank Industries, Inc, was with partner Frank Lipchak. by phone and later in person to estimate the cost to remove the original asbestos insulation from hot water pipes in the basement of a home built in 1923. In addition, I asked the cost to insulate the pipes after asbestos removal. Frank arrived in a very timely manner from my initial call and was punctual for the appointment to view the project site. Frank is an engaging, good person who volunteered his expertise and experience in straight, clear language in explaining the removal process to me and his company's experience with asbestos removal that justified his assessment. He described what he felt was needed, what was not needed, and what his assessment of services to provide me the most professional job at the fairest price. I appreciated his straight talk, his professional knowledge, and his obvious pride in his profession. Frank followed quickly with a written estimate to me for the asbestos removal. He provided a later estimate for insulation installation as his partner Carl specialized in this area of the work. I was very, very pleased with how quickly and professionally Frank and Carl removed the asbestos and cleaned the site afterwards. Frank exceeded his cleaning requirements for the basement floors, walls, and ceiling. I really appreciated this. Carl returned later and displayed the same pride and professional workmanship in installing the insulation to the pipes. As with Frank, he explained what was needed and what was not needed. The white insulation that Carl installed surrounding the pipes brightens the basement and highlights the completion of the job with a professional finish and appearance. This team is professional and engaging. They get in, do the job exceptionally well, and depart, leaving a clean project site. They have a great attitude and exhibit courtesy and great interpersonal skills with their clients. They provided excellent, professional services at a very reasonable cost.

Carl was very helpful with my questions on the phone and gave me great advice. He is a quality person that takes the time to help others.

They came on time, worked quickly and did not leave any mess or damage. We had some difficulty getting a hold of them to schedule the work to be done, but once we did the work was scheduled within the week.

Showed up on time for estimate which was done quickly. Gave me a price that seemed fair, scheduled it when I needed the work done, and were done in a day. Cleaned up after themselves, couldn't tell they had been there afterwards.

We had a couple of people come out and talk to us about the asbestos removal and these guys had the best price. They answered questions very readily. We have kind of an unusual house and they were able to straighten some things out that we were wondering about as far as asbestos insulation. We had no complaints.

Frank came and gave me an estimate on the job. It was very reasonable so we scheduled the work. He called about an hour before they were supposed to come just to verify that we were home and let us know they were on their way. They showed up on time and were very polite. They asked to use the side door to bring in their tools so that they did not track a mess through the house. They did an excellent job and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. Because I wasn't home to check on the job at the time, he offered to bill me so that if I was unsatisfied they could fix it before I payed. I highly recommend them.

The serviceman was very courteous, helpful, and reassuring. He indicated that unless the lab found asbestos, the material could be put into a plastic bag and discarded in the trash. The subsequent lab analysis revealed that the insulation was rock wool and no further action was needed.

Frank himself answered the telephone message I left. We coordinated a time for the estimate. He fully explained what he would do, and told me why their price was so much better than other companies I had called - they don't do large-scale commercial removals, so don't have to pay for commercial-scale equipment and an office staff. He happily showed me his state certification. He arrived promptly on the day of the job with his assistant. They set up quickly with minimal disruption. They removed a huge amount of material from my fireplace, and disposed of it all properly (and later gave me the documents to prove it). Frank was easy to work with, and professional. They took all the fireplace inserts back to their shop to clean in their decontamination chamber and dropped them off later. When I opened the plastic in which they were sealed, I was dismayed to find some white fibres on the filigree of one piece. I took them to be tested, thinking the worst because of bad experiences I've had with other contractors. But the fibres tested 100% clean - no asbestos whatsoever. What a great experience. I wish I had called these guys before trying to move the stuff myself. It might seem simple, but please don't mess with friable asbestos insulation. Frank did the job for less than a third of what the home inspector told me it would cost, and I could have avoided all the i'm-going-to-get-mesothelioma nightmares.

The highest compliment I can give to any contractor is appropriate for Carl and his team: there was only minimal disruption to our lives. The hardest thing we had to do was move some furniture from the rooms. The team was in and out in under 6 hours. Everything was very smooth -- they came in, took out all the carpet, carpet tack strips, padding, and the tile underneath. We were able to come back home the same evening to a clean, asbestos free house. I received a certificate for the air quality measurement the next day.

They were pretty good. They removed the asbestos just like they said they would. The only thing was that, the asbestos was around the hot water pipe radiator. There was some support table that held the pipes up which are shaped. However, they didn’t reshape the wires which hold the pipes after they removed the asbestos. I would not use their services in the future.

We were putting a new floor in the first floor of our house. We needed all the floor to be at the same height so the tile in the entryway needed to go. I feared some of the tile may contain asbestos due to the age of our house. I had the materials testing by a lab and indeed the middle layer of tile contained 10% asbestos. I picked Carl/Frank Industries due to their good reviews on Angie's List, their responsiveness and their quote seemed about what i was expecting. They got me scheduled within about a week, showed up on time and removed all layers of flooring down to the sub-floor in one day. I'm confident they followed all proper procedures and removed the material in a safe manner. I would use them again in the future if needed.

We first contacted Carl Frank when we were buying our house and asked for an estimate on re-encapsulating some asbestos in the pipes in the basement. Carl came out and despite some serious snafus(we couldn't get into the house because the sellers hadn't left us the correct key)was very nice and told me the likely price for that service. After buying the house, we decided it might be smarter to remove the asbestos altogether and Frank came out to give us the estimate for that, only a day or two after we contacted him. I don't have a lot to compare it to, but their removal estimate was lower than we'd anticipated(Frank did say that because we hadn't moved into the house yet, there was less to work around in the basement and therefore it was an easier job). We were able to schedule work for the next week. They arrived promptly, did the work quickly, and left the basement very clean, and sent all our paperwork certifying the removal and disposal of the asbestos within a couple of days. I highly recommend them.

If I need them for further service I will definitely use them.
