We called Carl and several other firms. Only 2 firms responded to my numerous calls. Carl came a little late to the estimate but sent us an amount fairly quickly. He came in $150 under the other estimate. I tried to schedule a time with him and he was responsive. I checked with the floor refinishing contractor to see if Carl could get in before the floors were finished. The flooring guy said yes, but then on the day of, turned Carl away at the door. Carl called me and was very understanding. We rescheduled for once the floors were done. He was very careful and kept the new floors looking great. He was flexible and understanding despite having planned to do the job and traveled to it and then getting turned away. I really appreciate that. On the day of, he was 10 minutes late due to traffic, but that is much better than my average contractor experience.

Bought a new home and the first project was to remove the asbestos from the duct work in the basement. Had contact with CFI and two other companies for estimates and removal. From the start, communication with Frank was outstanding. He was very easy to talk to and quick to respond. He was able to come out very soon to start work. The day of the removal he and Carl arrived and were very pleasant. The work went quickly and was very dirty - much soot built up in the ducts - but the place was SO clean when they left. There was a problem getting the written estimate to me via email, so when the work was done I had nothing in writing, but needed the removal to go through. The NEXT DAY the bill arrived in the mail and wasn't a penny over! I chose CFI because they were easy to communicate with and able to get in quick. They also happened to charge 1/2 the price of another company that failed to return my calls. If there were more they could do for me I'd hire them in a heartbeat.

The team arrived on time. Suited up, put up the containment tent and removed the asbestos and then vacuumed up. A clean, fast job well done. Very responsive company that is concerned about doing good work.

I HAD TWO BIDS AND HE CAME IN SLIGHTLY UNDER THE OTHERS, THEY CLEANED UP WELL AND THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. HE COULD NOT GET THROUGH THE DOOR TO THE CORE OF THE FURNACE, AND HE GAVE ME A DISCOUNT TO GET SOMEONE TO REMOVE IT. IT WAS NOT HIS FAULT. I HAD TO HIRE A WELDING COMPANY TO TAKE IT OUT. THEY USED A SAW AND TORCH TO SAW IT IN HALF. I DID NOT LOSS ANY MONEY ON THE DEAL.

RESPONSIVE, PUNCTUAL, AND DID WORK AS PROMISED. ASBESTOS REMOVAL ISN'T CHEAP AND I DIDN'T WELCOME THIS UNEXPECTED EXPENSE IN MY NEWLY PURCHASED HOME (PRESENCE OF ASBESTOS WASN'T RECOGNIZED BY MY HOME INSPECTOR OR DISCLOSED BY THE SELLER). HOWEVER, IF IT HAS TO BE DONE, I'D RECOMMEND THIS APPROACH.
