They were pleasant, timely and the salesman was very nice to deal with. Much nicer than some of the other people we talked with.

I spoke with a Bonnie Haines and she said someone would call me. Another woman called shortly and told me there would be a $95.00 service call and two men would come at a rate of $65.00 each. They didn't have the courtesy to come here to see what was needed to be done so I told her to forget it.

I was very pleased even though it was a small job, since the last roofing company I contracted failed to cut around the way I wanted it. So they got the job done for me. I was pleased with there work.

When he came, he was very professional and honest. He looked at my roof free of charge and let me know it was just some discoloration and that it did not need to be replaced. I appreciated his honesty and I would call them again. I am not sure of the prices, but I would defiantly use them for an estimate.

I was very satisfied with the workers. They were professional and prompt. They completed the job in two or three days and showed up nice and early. I had a good rapport with the workers and they answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I did use this company based on reports I had read on Angie's list.

Someone else on the list said I needed a new roof but they came out and just fixed the problem. Needless to say I was very pleased.

They were unable to come and give an estimate with in a day or two.

They were very well versed in roofing. They were very fair and timely in their coming out for the estimate and in delivering a quote. They told me I didn't need a knew roof. He said my problems were probably caused by poor ventilation.

Much better than I anticipated. I have not had a roofer in years. No high pressure at all. Got the job done just as I wanted. Good organization.

The company returned the call promptly and provided a reasonable estimate for the work. I was told someone would be out in a week or two to perform the work. That was in early May, it's now early June and I'm still waiting for the work to be done. The grades I'm providing are optimistic as I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt since the job is a rather small one.

I was really pleased with them, they were prompt & cleaned up properly. They found moisture underneath & replaced the wood for me. I would use them again & recommend them.

Some of my roof tiles looked questionable, so I called Burns & Scalo to get an estimate. George Gray, a rep for Burns & Scalo came by to give me an estimate. Fortunately, he found my roof in good shape and advised me to wait a year or two. I very much appreciated his honesty, and of course not having a large expenditure for a new roof at this time.

They had a work backup because it was a busy time of year and there was bad weather. They were available sooner than other companies would have been. They made prompt repairs at a reasonable price. I was happy with their work.

Sent an email to the contact provided by Angie's list. Received a prompt response. Got a reasonable estimate (within a few hundred dollars of other estimates). Agreed to contract Burns & Scalo. Was notified before the work was started. They may have been a bit more expensive than other contractors, but the people were all friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable, and the workmanship was excellent. I will definitely contact Burns & Scalo for any future roofing needs.

Great company, very reliable and did not mess around with the pricing.

We were very pleased overall. They did a thorough job and the roof looks great. Because of the scope of work it's not easy to carefully evaluate the price, but our sense is that it was pretty fair and probably comparable to other roofing companies. We had a couple of other estimates, but the scope of work was different and comparison is difficult. On the whole, we were very pleased and would definitely recommend these folks.

RJ came out to inspect our roof and gutters. He seemed very knowledgeable and climbed up on the roof to inspect it close up and take accurate measurements. RJ provided an estimate by mail. We would like to have been able to work with Burns & Scalo but the estimate exceeded our budget. We hired another company who did the same work very well for approximately $4,000 less than the Burns & Scalo estimate.

Another company had been a no-show after I had waited 1-1/2 weeks for the scheduled appointment. Bonnie at Burns & Scalo was able to dispatch a repair crew on the same morning I called and they arrived just as rain was beginning. They performed the repair and saved me from experiencing further damage to my ceiling due to a leaking roof.

Work was done promptly and effectively. Time will tell since the air and water leaks occur only under extreme conditions that occur during winter storms. Estimates for replacing skylights were sent promptly but not accepted at this point because of high cost.

I've used Burns and Scalo for several years for repairs on the roof of my former home and replacement of old gutters. This was the first job they've done on my current residence and they continue to provide prompt, excellent service at a reasonable price. I wouldn't use anyone else!

I WOULD DEFINITELY SAY GO AHEAD AND USE THEM. EVERYTHING IS GREAT, AND THE JOB THAT WAS DONE LOOKS VERY NICE. TO DATE I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH MY NEW ROOF.

They did a good job, I would highly recommend them. It was a slate roof and I feel like they saved me some money.

I called several roofing companies. Some told me they were going to send out an estimator and no one ever showed. Burns and Scalo showed up promptly and had an estimate to me in a timely manner. The estimator even came to the door to introduce himself and to let my wife know he would be looking at the roof. The work was started within a week of returning the proposal and everyone was very professional and courteous. I will definitely use them again.

I thought about grading them a ''B'' on the price, but wound up giving them an ''A'' because they were worth it. RJ (the rep) spent a lot of time explaining everything and he brought us samples of the actual materials so we would see what it would look like. The crew was excellent -- highly competent, very friendly, and extremely hard working. There was one problem that resulted in some damage to our ceiling, but EVERYONE immediately apologized -- crew, manager, rep -- and worked to keep the damage from happening again. Gary, one of the managers (I assume), said simply, ''What can I do that will make you 100% satisfied?'' Not every company would be so forthright about a mistake and then so determined to make up for it. As others have written in their reviews, Burns & Scalo are far from the cheapest, but the amount of work they did was also far in excess of what everyone else was suggesting, and the dark metal trim work and gutter (I thought white was the only option!) look fantastic!

I was very pleased with how the team finished in 2 days. However, they weren't finished. Some of the flashing resealing they did on the chimneys didn't fix the leak in a bedroom. They came back out, promptly, and resealed them and re-inspected them again. It wasn't until RJ came out that he noticed a ''valley'' that was exposed. They came back out to fix/reseal it. As of now, there haven't been any leaks. The gutters on the garage and roof repair are great.
