My husband had a service done at the dealer and had the problem with the wheel bearing diagnosed there. He asked about the cost of the repair and decided not to have it done at that time. We are new to the area and decided to look for a place on Angie's List. We chose Bridgeville Automotive because of the great reviews it had. When my husband took the car in for an estimate on the repairs, the cost was SIGNIFICANTLY less than it would have been at the dealer. Our total cost above was about equal to JUST the wheel bearing repair at the dealer. The appointment was made and we were able to get the car in promptly. I drove the vehicle to the garage and needed a ride back to my home. They took me back to my house in my vehicle and then drove away to repair it. While the vehicle was in for repairs, the secretary called me and told me that a wiper blade would need to be replaced (I believe it was needed to pass inspection). They had no history on the vehicle's past repairs, so they also gave me some things to keep in mind that would need to be repaired in the future. She gave me all prices for the future repairs to include labor, but did not pressure me into anything. The vehicle took a bit longer than originally planned to finish because one person repairs the vehicle and another checks the work prior to the vehicle leaving the garage. They were not satisfied with the original work and took it back into the garage to do the alignment. Since the alignment was not in the original estimate, but was deemed necessary for the proper completion of the job, we split the cost with the garage. I felt that the staff at the garage was friendly, honest, and that they were upfront with the things that needed to be done. They did not pressure me into anything and they fully explained the things they were going to do. The vehicle sounds MUCH better now and is safe to drive. We will be getting more work done at Bridgeville Automotive in the future.

After getting my car back 2 weeks ago and spending over $1000 on needed maintenance, my battery died last night. After getting jumped, I stopped by Bridgeville Automotive and they quoted me $120 on a new battery. As the technician put the new battery in, he noticed my old battery was one that they installed 2 years ago. Because the battery was under warranty, they were able to prorate my new battery and it only cost me $80. Honesty goes along way.

The job went good. It seemed like the work was priced reasonably; my son concurred saying that it was reasonable for what they did. I paid them by credit card. Their responsiveness was good, and as far as I know, the quality has been good; nothing has gone wrong since then. This was my first visit with them, and I would recommend them to others. I would rate them highly and would probably use them again in the future.

I e-mailed the company asking for information on auto air-conditioning repair for my 2004 Honda Civic (If they performed such repairs and if so, when it could be scheduled). They never bothered to reply.

They are very easy to talk to about what’s going on with the car. I think that their prices are reasonable. They seem to do a thorough job and figure out what’s wrong. We will use their services again in the future.

Approximately two weeks ago I went to this garage to talk to them in person about repair work needed on my 1974 Karmann Ghia. I spoke with one of the owners and explained the problem I was having with the car, basically that it wasn't running. She seemed to know what she was talking about as we discussed the car's trouble. She scheduled me to bring the car in in about two weeks time. On the day of the appointment I had to call a tow truck to get the car to their garage. Once there I was told that they didn't want to work on the car. Her husband, the mechanic, didn't feel qualified as he didn't know enough about a 1974 Karmann Ghia. And that they didn't have any information on the car. She thought I would be better off at a garage that specialized in older model import cars. Fortunately the tow truck driver knew of another place nearby and was willing to tow the car there for me. While I respect their decision not to work on the car, I do feel that I could have been told of this in advance thereby saving me the time and trouble of having the car towed there first. And I might have been able to find another shop sooner instead of waiting two weeks only to find out they couldn't do the job.

They were very good. I felt really comfortable with them and they explained everything that they were going to do. They repaired the air conditioning system but it broke down within three days. I called them again and the guy who came to do the repair was really very nice. They do some kind of analyzing to find where the leak was and he found two leaks and he repaired them. Then he also told me to ride the car for two weeks and incase if there was nay other problem then he could come and repair that too. He also told me that I had to replace the condenser and he told me that it would cost $500. He knew that I wouldn’t come again as it was very far from my house. He also told me after spending that there might be some other things also which needed to be repaired. Then I and my decided that we would sell the car because spending for all that work wasn’t worth. So I really appreciate the mechanic that he was very honest in telling me all the things frankly. It took me 45minutes to drive there. He was very helpful and trustful. He was very professional. I would recommend them to others and mostly because of their honesty. The shop is very clean. The woman who runs the shop is very knowledgeable and she could explain me what was going on and I appreciated that. I would rate them high overall and would use them again in the future if needed.

Went very well. I am usually very paranoid in these situations--I want everything spelled out and don't trust anyone. My car was making a ton of scraping and grinding noises. I suspected brakes and wasn't wrong. The Front Desk Manager, Ellen, was very patient and professional--they called me prior to the work beginning with an exact price, replaced only what needed to be done and fixed items were possible without having to purchase new parts. They noticed that I was due for an oil change and brake line flush and offered that service while they had the car. The receipt listed each part that was purchased and it's cost; and it then spelled out how much labor was charged to install each item. The invoice even went so far as to describe every detail of what is done during a particular service--like brake line flush, etc. What can I say? I'll be back.

I spent around $500 on the job. They were very friendly. They definitely seemed liked they wanted me to build a long-term relationship with them; they seemed genuine about that. I will use them again in the future.

Very Well. Service perfromed all in one day. Easy to drop off and pick up. Air conditioning works great.

I have been bringing cars to Jim for 5 years and have never been disappointed. His work is excellent, he takes the time to describe what needs to be done, and his estimates are spot on.

We have been going to them for around 4 years.They do a good job. They are very diligent in what they do. I also like that they are honest, and if I have a problem with any of their work they are willing to back it up.

I love this shop. Last of the honest guys!

THEY ALWAYS TREAT ME WELL! MOST OF THE TIME MY BILL IS DISCOUNTED WHEN I TAKE MY CARS IN FOR SERVICE. THEY DEFINITELY KNOW WHAT GOOD SERVICE IS, AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I RECOMMEND THEM TO MY FRIENDS ALL THE TIME.

They are convenient, they are prompt and honest and have good mechanics. They are also accommodating.

JIM DID THE REPLACEMENT RIGHT AWAY. HE IS VERY THOROUGH AND EXPLAINS THE WORK IN GREAT DETAIL. I ALWAYS HAVE THEM DO ALL OF MY AUTO SERVICE AND INSPECTIONS. MY DAUGHTERS AND SON ALSO TAKE THEIR AUTOS THERE FOR REPAIRS. MANY TIMES HE HAS GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND WITH THE SERVICE THAT HE PROVIDES. I FEEL VERY SAFE IN MY VEHICLES KNOWING HE HAS DONE THE SERVICE.

THE TRANSMISSION RUNS GREAT. MY CAR RUNS LIKE IT'S BRAND NEW. THEY CLEAN EVERYTHING, TOO.

THOUGH HE'S NOT INEXPENSIVE, HE IS NONETHELESS FAIR AND HAS SOMETIMES NOT EVEN CHARGED US ANYTHING FOR MINOR REPAIRS OR ADJUSTMENTS. WE HAVE COME TO TRUST HIM COMPLETELY AS AN HONEST, HARDWORKING MAN WHO LOOKS OUT FOR AND TAKES CARE OF HIS CUSTOMERS. JIM AND HIS EMPLOYEES COME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
