I called Brian and left a message. He called back within the hour. I explained what was happening and he said he could come later that day too look at it. Since I would be in and out all day I arranged with Brian to pick the compute up off of my front porch. Later that day I got a call from Brian saying that he would run some diagnostics to see what the problem was. He ran tests all night, called Dell for their tech support for a problem he found, and updated the BIOS & video card software. It has run without a hitch since then. Highly recommend Brian for his work & professionalism. He talks to you so you can understand what the problem was not at some techie, geekie speak level.

It went very well each time. Also, service is done very promptly, either in person or through computer hookup.

My tenant needed the connection for her work. He came immediately today, after him calling yesterday. He was on time and was able to use the existing cables. He was done quickly (within 2 hours.) I am very happy and so is my tenant. I would give him 5 stars for everything, and he couldn't do anything else to make me happier.

Brian took my computer home and copied all of my data to an external drive and reformated my hard drive to assure that there was no physical problems. He reinstalled the operating system and than went to the manufacturers web site and downloaded all the latest drivers and download and installed all microsoft updates and patches including the newest service pack! Also installed all the common applications such as Itunes,Adobe Reader, Flash Player etc. He than transferred all my data back from external storage and verified all systems functional. He delivered my computer the next day and reconnected all peripherals. While going thru the research on my problems, discovered a router problem that could only be corrected by replacing said router. I called Verizon and requested a new router to replace the corrupted one. The new router arrived the next day and Brian removed the old one and installed the replacement and tested. Also downloaded and installed my Video software as well as Roxio and PowerDVD.

It did help the computer somewhat however I still ended up getting a new computer .

My computer was badly infected with a virus and could not be repaired by typical DIY repair methods. I called Brian to discuss the situation with him, and he said he could look at it the very next day. I dropped it off at Brian's office in the morning on my way to work, and within a half hour he determined the best method to proceed was to back up all my files installed, and reformat the hard drive, reinstalling Windows and all related software. I picked up my computer from him on way way home the same day. Everything works smoothly on my system now and no files/data were lost in the process.

Brian arrived on time and was very pleasant and efficient. He answered all my questions and was honest about what could be done and what could not. Didn't want me to think that it would be working like a brand new computer when he was finished. He took care of all major problems and it's now working like I need. Was definitely worth what I paid for this service. When we replace our home computer system we will definitely call him to oversee the transition. Brian is someone who talks in "non computer language" for those of us of a certain age who have not grown up using them. Does not make you feel like you are some kind of dinosaur when it comes to technology.

Brian scheduled my appointment with in a very few days of my calling him. He arrived on time. Brian was very personable and professional. He completed the Clean Up and made some suggestions to further improve my computer's efficency. My computer is working much better now and I will definitely call Brian back the next time I experience technical difficulties.

I was home bound after surgery and needed my computer. It just died and would not start. Brian came out within 2 hours after I called, swapped out the old for a new power supply, sold me a better quality surge supresser and I was back in business. We discussed some issues I'm having with slow response time and Brian gave me some ideas for future consideration.

Late in the evening my computer crashed! no matter what i tried, it would not reboot. Since I use it both for personal and business matters, I needed it fixed fast!! Luckily I also have a laptop, so I was able to get onto Angies list and search for area computer repair businesses. I came across BQV Consulting- it was close, and also had great reviews, so I sent an email via Angie's list. The very next morning Brian Valen called, and said he could come by that afternoon. Brian arrved right on time and worked diligently to recover everything that was on my hard drive. I knew that my PC was old, and had planned to purchase a new one soon. After talking to Brian, I decided to purchase a new system directly from him. Brian is able to sell business grade Dell PCs, so I was able to get a great new system, including a new tower PC, monitor, and external hard drive for back-up, something I had neglected to do . There was no "hard sell" at all. In fact Brian explained that I could go out and buy any computer I wanted, and he'd be happy to set it up for me. Brian set up the new system, transferred everything from my old PC to the new one , downloaded new software that was more capatible with my HP printer, and also installed new security software security. He also added a feature that, in the event I have any problems in the future, I can contact him, he will provide me with a PIN , and that will enable him to remotely access my PC and diagnose the problem. I actually took advantage of that feature a couple of weeks later when I found that my scanner was not working, and Brian was able to remotely fix it in just a few minutes. Brian was very professional, but also very friendly, and we chatted while we worked. He clearly is very skilled at what he does. I was very pleased with his very prompt response to my call for help, and with the services he provided. Within 24 hours of my old computer dying, I had a great new system up and running. I would highly recommend BQV Consulting and would definitely use them again.

Their service was fine. I had a pop up and he was able to get rid of the pop up.

I called--he came within 2 days--did the work--ordered a battery and returned in a couple days to install it. Short--sweet--and well done!

I left my computer in Brian's garage and he called me that evening to let me know it was ready to go.

Very well.Brian had problem solved 2hrs. after I dropped it off.Picked up computer next day.

Brian took the time to listen to our questions and concerns and then explained the answers in a way we could understand. He did a really good job of speeding up and cleaning up everything for both users on our laptop. We would definitely call on him again for our computer needs.

I contacted Brian last week and notified him that once again our computer had problems starting and requesting help! Brian than said he had a new system and printer all set to go and we made an appointment to have him come over on 10/17/2011 at 11:00 a.m. As requested Brian arrive on time with a new Dell Optiplex computer and an HP 6500A all in one printer! Brian was very understanding of the lack of knowledge I had and showed us the ins and outs of this new system and even with some problems, installed the new system and recovered all of the information from our old system!! Hire him with no reservations.

Overall my experience was pretty good. Bryan very nice and conscientious, but the price was a little high.

Brian returned my call within a day and was able to pick up the lap top the same day. He took 3 days to completely wipe and rebuild the programs on the hard drive, it turned out that it was so full of spyware and adware that it had stopped working. Brian was very efficient and professional. I would absolutely use his services again.

Brian arrived on time, determined what our specific problems were and then spent about an hour doing the work listed above. He was nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Brian was flexible in his schedule, punctual and polite. He provided the service (and then some) for the promised price. Brian wants you to be a happy customer and it shows.

I am very satisfied with the quality of BQV Consulting's work, feel that I have gotten my money's worth and that the working experience was positive and pleasant. Of the three computer consultants I have used, BQV Consulting is the one I would use again and recommend to others. Brian Valen called promptly to schedule the initial appointment, discuss the services I thought I required, along with the extra cost for working on a second computer, and set up an appointment date and time range. The day of the appointment, he called to update me with regard to his schedule and arrived within the agreed upon range. While he worked, I peppered him with questions. I was very favorably impressed with how easily he was able to work on the computers while simultaneously listening to and answering my questions. He did not discourage me from doing this and was friendly and engaging during it, but tactfully let me know when answering a certain question would require time that was beyond the appointment's scope and/or his ability to work into his schedule at that time. He suggested that I develop a list of topics with which I needed help and schedule/purchase a training session with him for another time. He gave me the opportunity in advance to decide whether or not to pay for additional services or products, so there were no surprises when it came to settling the bill and his explanations were clear and comprehensive enough for me to feel comfortable with my decisions. BQV Consulting's rates are within market range, in my limited experience. It is an expensive service, to me, but worth the money if I am confident that I got good service and was happy with the experience of the session. I prefer that over paying less for service with which I end up being unhappy and/or from someone with whom I feel less comfortable. I want to feel, after a computer service call, that I understand at least most of what the problems were and how to solve some or most of them myself in the future, if possible. I feel that I am paying for a certain, limited, level of education along with technical resolution. In my opinion, there are enough new problems cropping up with computers to keep the consultants busy without my paying to have the same ones fixed repeatedly, if I can possibly avoid it. So, I will continue to use only a consultant who agrees with me about that and is willing to involve me in the process. Not only was Brian technically competent enough to resolve my computers' specific issues quickly, but I found him a pleasant person with whom to work. I feel that his manner is professional without being distant or remote, friendly but not overly familiar, respectful but relaxed, confident without being condescending, efficient but patient and time conscious without appearing rushed. He is clearly knowledgeable, but is willing and able to explain technical concepts in terms appropriate to my level of understanding, talking neither up nor down to me. He was reassuring in a way that felt genuine. I felt that his tactful way of fielding my questions was respectful of his other clients' schedules, so I knew that he would be equally respectful of mine. His working hours are flexible and customer oriented. In my book, he is an A+.

True to his word and very surprising to me, he arrived at about 3:00 p.m. and after checking a few things and seeing as the computer was now running, gave me the option to either wait or replace the power supply! I opted to replace the power supply as I feared a re-occurrence! He went to his car and retrieved a new power supply, installed it and did a checkup to make sure all was running correctly! I am still amazed that he could set aside time for me on such short notice and will be forever in his debt!!! He spent about an hour and a half leaving my home at approximately 4:30.p.m.

Brian diagnosed the problem with my pc over the phone and ordered the part before we hung up. I dropped the pc off and it was fixed the day after the part was delivered. Great experience .

I was not happy with his results and we did find someone else to call and he did make a difference on my computer.

He was very good in terms of expertise and polite. He did the job and was done quickly.
