My service call is answered quickly and appt is scheduled right a way. Technician was very professional and patient. However, their price is very high. They are not the most expensive in town but close to it. They charged me $93 for the 1st lb of R410A and $63 per lb. It costed me $424 total. They also suggested a leak test for $225. I called another company out for a leak test. They charge $35 per pound flat for R410A and they do leak test for $100. I was told by the 2nd company that a leak test may not be necessary because the chance to have a leak in the coil for my newer 2013 system is small. The 2nd company thought the system is leaking through a fitting of some kind. The end result is the 2nd company was able to repair my AC for only $120 while BOLSTER DeHART INC would charge me at least another $225. In short, I do not recommend BOLSTER DeHART INC unless you just have too much money.

This provider came out and did a diagnostic call. They were on time and professional but I decided to do the work myself due to the price that was quoted.

The technician (Nick I believe) arrived on time, the same day as service was requested. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and did a great job of answering any questions I had about literally anything. The problem, why it happened, how to address it in the future, how to prevent other common problems, etc. He was most excellent all the way around. In about an hour he had repaired my boiler, installed a new thermostat, and explained how to program it. The cost seemed very reasonable to me at about $130. My house has heat, I'm a happy camper, and I will most definitely be using Bolster-DeHart again in the future!

Went well. Project took a little longer than original estimated, but it was out of their control. They completed to my satisfaction.

He's very, very good. He serviced our furnace in our old home, and when I moved, I wanted him to take care of our HVAC system. He said he didn't service the area we moved to, but I got him three other people in our new building as customers. We've had a contract with him in our new home for six years now. They're very good, and if you have any kind of problem, they come immediately. They don't say, "We'll be there in three weeks," when it's sub-zero outside. If you have a contract with them, they will come immediately.

I have used Bolster-Dehart for years for both my heating and a/c. They are always prompt and thorough. When there was a problem, they fixed it. Their price was always fair.

Service Tech was on time, professional and completed the furnace check up and informed me of everything he checked on the furnace. Nothing was needed as everything checked out ok. I have used Bolster-DeHart for our HVAC needs since 1989 at our house and very satisfied.

My review is long overdue but can be viewed as quite valid since I've had over (5) years of history in dealing with B.DeHart. They have serviced, repaired and provided new unit installs in both my home and a few rental properties. You can tell they are a well-managed company beginning from their office staff thru their sales and technicians. It's the first HVAC company I've dealt with that makes it very obvious that all their technicians and sales personnel have had in-depth training on the equipment that they service. I would say this is their #1 selling point with me. Second to that, but no less important, is their excellent office staff who always pick up the phone and in the rare instances where I leave a message, get back to me that same day, if not within minutes. I remain a loyal customer.

First of all, we've been using Bolster-Dehart for 27 yrs to service our AC unit. We've had a previous AC system replaced back in 2000. This time during our annual AC tune-up, the technician showed me some alarming photos he took with his phone of mold growing in our air handler which is located in our attic. Needless to say, we were horrified to learn of this and were not sure how to proceed next. The technician did emphasize that BDI didn't handle mold but I should try to get the situation remedied as soon as possible. Of note, the AC system was 14 yrs old and seemed to be working properly. Given age of system, it was advised that we consider replacement given this problem but to get some input first. In the interim, my husband and I contacted a mold specialist who came out to examine the problem. He felt that replacing the unit would probably take care of the mold problem but he suggested that he should come out again during the installation of the new system to make sure there was no mold in the ducts because that would necessitate cleaning the ducts immediately during the job. Instead, BDI wound up replacing mostly all our duct work which had been flexible ducts with rigid ducts. We had found out that the long lengths of flex ducts should never have been installed in the first place and weren't per code. (BDI did not put in the original system back in 1986 and we weren't the owners of the house at that time either. ) The unit they eventually installed also had an ultraviolet lamp to kill any possible future developing mold, although the cost of a system like that was more. (Of note, we couldn't just add an ultraviolet lamp to the old system because of the flex duct work which is contraindicated with ultraviolet lamp use.) The job was extensive taking a whole week to complete. The two technicians were very professional and respectful of our property. They cleaned up every day as best as they could. There was one very hot day during the installation in which we had no AC. They felt bad about that and made sure we had some cooling from the new unit for relief from that point onward. During the project, we learned that our attics were grossly under-insulated - possible reason why the condensation formed in the old unit and then the mold problem occurred. It was speculated that the combination of last winter's severe cold during the polar vortex and the lack of insulation were at the root of the mold problem. We found out that we needed specialized insulation and it turns out that this company does that as well. We were so pleased with how this project went, we hired them to do our insulation work which will be occurring in the fall. The only downside was that their costs are on the expensive side overall, but they do a professional, trustworthy, and clean job. That must be factored in when doing an extensive job like this.

I called Bolster-DeHart since they service the Bryant HVAC system in my home. I had never used their services before. Appointments were set up easily and the lead repair person and his apprentice were very professional. On 8/20/14 they repaired an inoperative AC after 1st checking my furnace. The cost that day for parts and labor for the AC repair was $760 for a new capacitor, coil cleaning and 4# refrigerant including $79 diagnostic and $95 furnace check. Their furnace check indicated a heat exchanger that needed to be replaced and I was initially told it would take about 8 hours time, but was under warranty by Bryant for the parts and $300 of labor, leaving me to pay $500 of the $800 "flat rate charge" by Bolster for the replacement. At the time $100 an hour didn't seemed too unreasonable for 8 hours time of a tech and apprentice. The heat exchanger was replaced on 8/29 and the men were at my house for a total of 3 hours and 5 minutes. Just because there were two individuals on site does not add up to 6 hours and 10 minutes because the 2nd person added little incrementally to the project due to the tight working area and was not really a 2-man job. I asked for a reduced labor charge since they finished so quickly and they had no installation issues and was refused. I believe that the $800 quote should have been a not-to-exceed amount since I as a customer had no basis for questioning the actual repair time. I will not use that company again because although the work was professional, the charges in my opinion were exorbitant.

Our furnace died on Saturday February 8th, 2014. Is was during the coldest spell of the winter. We phoned Bolster-DeHart Inc. and spoke with the owner Paul. Not only did Paul come the same day to a**** our situation he brought with him several space heaters to keep us warm until our new furnace arrived on Monday. The price was fair and the response was top notch. We couldn?t have asked for more. To top it off, we received a thank you package in the mail several days later. I would highly recommend Bolster-DeHart Inc.

Tuesday afternoon the technician (Chris) started work to prepare for a Wednesday install of the new furnace. However the old furnace did not even make it through Tuesday morning and we agreed to go ahead and remove the old one Tuesday afternoon. Of course these were the coldest days of the year with below 0 degree mornings. Bolster Dehart provided 5 small electric heaters that allowed my family to stay the night and actually woke up to a 55 degree house. Chris arrived 7:30 am Wednesday morning and had it up and running by 2:30 pm. Chris explained the new digital thermostat and how to program. Their quick response, quality product and good price were the top reasons I chose them and recomend them.

How'd it go? We want all the details. Examples Dos and Don'ts Nick called about 2.5 hours later to confirm directions and to say he was on the way. He looked at the furnace, saw the pilot light was out and tested several different parts of the furnace. He showed me how the thermocoupler would not stay open to allow gas to feed the pilot light. Fortunately, he had the right part on his truck for the steam boiler furnace and was able to replace it in less than an hour. Nick then relit the pilot light and made sure the furnace was working before he left. It took the rest of the night for the thermostat to return to a comfortable temperature. My dogs and I would have frozen if it weren't for the prompt and conscientious service of the Bolster DeHart repair service.

This is the second time I've used Bolster-DeHart in the past few weeks. This call was to perform an inspection and clean a 54 year old boiler in one of my properties. The technician, Chris, was prompt, polite, and very thorough. He answered all of the questions that I had, representing Bolster-DeHart well. I will most definitely will use them for the HVAC needs for our investment properties as well as our primary residence.

The boiler went out at one of my rental properties. They were very quick to respond and schedule a time to have a look that same day. The technician arrived and took care of the problem in a very quick time. My tenant was extremely pleased with their work and to have heat the same day it went out. I've already scheduled them for another job. I would definitely recommend them.

Went very well. Servicemen arrived on time, called to say they were on the way, worked very efficiently. We were offered the opportunity to purchase a service contract which will provide savings to us in the future.

Technician, Tony, arrived promptly and called when he was on his way. Thoroughly tested and inspected the indoor and outdoor units, transformer was bad and condensate drain had backed up. Replaced part and thoroughly cleaned out drain... everything was back to normal. Couldn't have asked for much more, problem was solved efficiently, part was on the truck and I was back to enjoying cool air. Price for the part, however, was a bit high, but it was on his truck and ready to go, so I can't really complain. Would absolutely use them again. Loved how easy it was to get a hold of them late on a Sat afternoon. Would welcome them back.
