I had attempted to refinish and re-glue a chair which was given to my grandmother as a wedding gift. I'd succeeded in half dismantling it. Bob reassembled it and did a beautiful job refinishing. I could not be happier

He met us promptyly,looked at the table and gave us an estimate. We received a call a week later and the table was finished. He did a remarkable job. He repaired the leg. The repair was invisible. He also cleaned and touched up the finish. We couldn't be happier with the results. We would highly recommend Bob for any furniture repair or refinishing work.

Bob did a great job matching the stain on a cabinet that had been ruined by an accidental spill. I would use him again anytime and highly recommend him to others. Price was fair for professional work. Bob quoted his price in advance and came in right on bid. A very satisfying transaction.

I had an antique chair with a broken leg and a part missing. It was not a easy fix. Bob carved out a piece to match the missing one and even retouched chipped off paint all over the chair for me. The price was very fair and the job was superb. I would definitely recommend Bob to all my friends for furniture repair/refinish.

We took three pieces to Bob to refinish - they all came out beautifully. Bob is a true artisan and is very easy and friendly to deal with. One piece was owned by my mother for 60+ years. He was able to repair it and now it looks like new. We took another few pieces to Bob to work his magic. In this disposable society, it is great to be able to re-use pieces rather than just replace them. Thanks, Bob!

I inherited my father’s 50+ year old sewing machine along with its cabinet. The sewing machine itself was in pretty good condition, but the cabinet was pretty beat up. I spoke to Bob over the phone about the repairs that I knew would be needed and Bob gave me a quote of “no more than $300” to refinish and repair the cabinet, which I believed to be very reasonable. I did not get another quote since I felt comfortable with Bob based on the reviews I had read on Angie’s list. The cabinet was ready within the time frame promised. When I picked it up, the cabinet looked great. Not only had Bob made the repairs I had suggested and refinished the piece, but he also fixed all 5 drawers so that they pulled in and out smoothly. I would definitely use Bob again.

Bob provided excellent service and quality workmanship from start to finish. We had quite a bit of furniture to refinish, so Bob picked it up in two separate batches and completed it in and quot;shiftsand quot;. He finished both batches of furniture on time and returned the completed product to our house and helped move it back upstairs to its permanent home. Bob was friendly, punctual and a pleasure to work with. His prices are reasonable and we feel like we got some excellent workmanship at a great value. We are looking forward to doing business with Bob again.

I discussed the job with Bob prior to taking it to him. He told me that he didn't do large veneer jobs, but that he would assess the work and we could discuss the best course of action. When I took the dresser to him, he looked at the damage and thought he could do a better job by removing the damaged veneer and finishing the hardwood underneath. It took about 3-4 weeks, exactly what he told me to expect. The work was beautiful. The wood under the veneer turned out to finish up wonderfully, and Bob contacted me during the process to discuss my stain preferences and issues with missing hardware. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful piece of furniture. He did not try to make it look like a brand new piece--rather, he respected the fact that it was 50+ years old and restored it to a beautiful result. I will go back to Bob if I have other items that need to be repaired and refinished, and I highly recommend him for others looking for assistance with older furniture.

I would never dream of going to anyone else but Bob with wood refinishing work. He's the best! I'm spreading the word to everyone I know, and he's already done work for family and friends. He picked up my piece of furniture and brought it back; did a beautiful job restoring it; and was such a pleasure to work with. And he was honest about when he could work on it, how long it would take, and how much he would charge. He's a great guy!

I called and left a message, which was promptly answered. After I described my table, Bob gave a ballpark estimate which was exactly what he ended up charging us. We saved some money by delivering the table in our SUV and Bob had it repaired in about two weeks. The table is beautiful again and we look forward to another thirty years of using it.

I found Bob on Angie's list after getting two previous quotes for several pieces of damaged furniture as a result of mishandling by a moving company. He lived up to his excellent reviews in every sense of the word. Not only were all pieces restored to our satisfaction, his turn around time was true to his word. Most pieces were returned to us within one week- two at the most. He had done other touch- up jobs in our home. Among some of the pieces Bob had worked on included a cedar chest that was custom- made by the Amish. It had many scratches as well as some sun damage. For a very reasonable price he restored it to it's original beauty! Bob tries to save his customers money; he suggested that he only refinish the top of the chest, and if we chose to have the entire piece restored, he would do it at a later time. No pressure! We chose to have him do the entire piece and it is stunning! Another example of his honesty is that he told us that one crack in a particular piece did not compromise the integrity of the piece. it was inside a cabinet, so why spend money to repair it? ( A competitor wanted almost 900. 00 to make the repair!) He also repaired an antique vanity that had scratches and sun damage. It is just gorgeous. He calls before dropping off and picking up and arrived on time. We sent him to my parents to repair a dining room server that had water damage. They are so happy with the piece! We would recommend him to anybody.

I called Bob from the great reviews I had seen on Angie's list... I shopped around a bit and he was also cheaper than his competitors. Originally I was quoted $200 over the phone after describing the 1950s (?) sewing machine cabinet. I thought I stressed that the piece was in bad condition...I bought it for $10 at a 'moving sale'; the top's veneer was mostly gone; the piece had been through a lot, but was clearly well made and I thought worth the investment... I was able to bring the piece in and Bob requoted the piece for $250 because of the actual state of the piece and the additional work involved. Understandably, it really was going to take a lot of time to clean this piece up. As I had a hard time fitting the piece in my car, Bob even offered to deliver it when it was done as part of the price. I agreed to the new price/arrangement. I further asked to receive the piece at the end of the month to coincide with my paycheck. Bob was very amenable to my timeframe. The piece is beautiful now and no longer needs to be hidden by a nice piece of fabric. Bob did an excellent job and I look forward to working with him again on my next 'find'... THANKS, BOB!

Bob did a great job. He picked the chairs up from my home and delivered them back after the work was completed. I am very, very happy with the work performed.

Bob was efficient, quick, professional, and reasonable...what more could we ask for?! Plus, he anticipated a future problem with the bed rail and took a preventative step at no additional cost. He's terrific and we plan on using his services again soon.

I have never had a piece of furniture refinished but Bob gave me what seemed to be a good price and did the work in short order. He was friendly, yet professional, and I was comfortable with his ability to do the job. I took the desk to his shop and saw examples of his work, which also assured me he was competent in his craft. The desk was very etailed so the price seemed to be fair for the job. He kept in touch and finished the job in a very fair amount of time. When I first called him, he called back in a timely fashion and I was very pleased with the entire transaction.

We've been putting off this project for quite some time but when I saw the excellent reviews of Bob's work, I gave him a call. Bob was easy to work with and I just dropped off the chairs one week and took him the table the next week. He completed the work ahead of schedule and the finished product was superior. I highly recommend Bob and I won't hesitate using him again.

Bob is amazing at his craft. He took the tables apart, stripped them of their old scratched finish, sanded the surfaces to get rid of nicks/scratches, and stained them to the color we chose. He also cleaned off the metal caps that went over the feet so they gleamed like new. What were once beat up/scratched end tables ended up looking like new! I can't recommend him highly enough.

I had a platform rocker that was a bit of a mess as my husband practically lives in it. I wanted some things repaired and then refinished. I got 3 estimates which included Bob's. His was the lowest by at least half. I had sent pictures to the other two but Bob just gave me an estimate over the phone, sight unseen. He was very responsive, came to get the chair when he said he would. When he saw the chair he said that the entire chair did not need refinishing. He took the minimalist approach and fixed what needed to be fixed and refinished what needed to be refinished. He had the chair back in one week as he said he would and charged what his estimate was. The rocker looks beautiful, just like new. I am very pleased and would use Bob again if I needed something refinished.

I called Bob with a chair that the leg was broken. I had tried to fix it, and it held for about a year. I went to Bob with chair and chair leg. He looked at it and said he would make it look like new. Three weeks later I went back and it did look just like new. Perfect!

Bob was very responsive, accommodated my schedule, and provided very quick turnaround on the job. He evern brought someone along to carry the desk up three flights of stairs, once it was finished. Bob did an amazing job, the desk is absolutely beautiful! In addition to refinishing the desk, he made some repairs to major nicks and scratches. I would definitely call Bob again, and have already recommended him to family and friends.

I contacted Bob after reading other reviews on Angie's List. I explained that a leg had broken off of the table and asked how much he would charged for the repair. After talking with him we decided to refinish the piece as well as fix it. The price he quoted over the phone was the final price. I delivered the table in my car to his place in Lawrenceville. Bob striped the table, repaired the leg and then re-stained it. He contacted me several times to keep me updated on the progress of the project. I picked up the table today and it is beautiful. It almost looks new! I would definitely use him again. In fact, he gave me a ballpark quote for my dining room table.
