 + -1 moreBob, as in the past, did an excellent job of repairing a wooden dining chair that had come apart at the backrest. He examined the chair and advised me of previous repair work - not surprising since the chair is at least 50 years old. Within 4 days, he called me to let me know that my chair was ready and that I could pick it up at any time. Bob is personable, courteous, and accurate in his price estimates. We are very happy with the repair work and will certainly take future repairs to him. He had previously repaired / reglued at least one chair, maybe two, for us and the work has held now for several years. He's excellent.

 + -1 moreWe had a crate & barrel bench damaged during a move. There was a pretty good chip taken out which needed to be patched up and color matched to the rest of the wood. Bob was responsive from the beginning and was able to make it look as good as new

 + -1 moreI dropped off the plant stand at Bob's workshop in Lawrenceville. He was finished in less than a week, although I couldn't pick it up right away. The results were beautiful. The top of the stand and the shelf underneath were water damaged, probably from a leaking plant pot. The piece had a lot of decorative elements carved into the wood (flowers carved into the legs, bead-like detail), and they look as good as new. It's good for another century.

 + 0 moreBob was great. We dropped off our dining room table, which was in need of repair (base was coming apart from the top) and refinishing. He said he could have it done in a couple of weeks and it was completed as scheduled. The table top had some burns and discoloration from years of use and Bob was able to remove them and the table top has never looked better. The table works perfectly and looks incredible. We are extremely happy with the job Bob did, and would recommend him to anyone looking to have antique furniture repaired or spruced up. The price was extremely reasonable as well.

He picked up the furniture and delivered back to us when it was complete. He's very easy to work with. Unfortunately, we had a big stain on both our dining room table and coffee table. In both instances, he was able to remove them and I have no idea where they were. Just amazing!!! I strongly recommend Bob for all furniture refinishing jobs

 + -1 moreMy experience with Bob was amazing! First of all, he is very easy to work with and responded quickly to my phone calls. I am in the middle of selling my house and I wanted to have my front doors looking perfect. I called him on a Thursday and he came over to look at the doors on Saturday and the following Saturday he came over with a helper and removed the doors and had them back to me looking beautiful by Wednesday!! Amazing. He is personable and lots of common sense. I have called Bob this week to look at a piece of furniture.

 + -1 moreI would 100% recommend Bob to anyone needing furniture refinishing. He is extremely knowledgeable in his craft. He answered the phone when I called. He immediately called me after receiving my email with the photo of our table, and he showed up promptly a few days later as promised. As I said, he ended up not taking the table as he felt it did not need refinished. He told us what we need to do to fix the problem and how to take care of it in the future. He is a super nice, honest guy.
Description of Work: I contacted Bob to get advice and and estimate to refinish the top of a relatively new dining table that I purchased from Ethan Allen. He asked that I send him a picture of the table so that he could see the way the table was "wearing" just from being wiped off. He quoted me $400 to refinish the top which I thought was very fair and we arranged to have him pick the table up. When he arrived at our house and saw the table, he said that he did not think that the table looked to bad and would hate to strip a relatively new piece of furniture. He asked if we had tried steel wool to even out the surface (we had not). He went out to his truck and brought in a piece of steel wool and showed us exactly how to even out the surface. He was so refreshingly honest and kind and did not make a penny from us.

He worked his magic on them and they look awesome! He is very accommodating and easy to work with, even though I was somewhat indecisive about what I wanted.The turn- around time was fast, even though it's the holidays and everyone wants their things finished. I'm already thinking about what I can have him do next! I high recommend Bob, he knows what he's doing and his prices are very fair.

I wanted to have it refinished and give it to my 11-year-old granddaughter. The furniture in her bedroom is all black, so I asked Bob to stain it black. He was dubious about staining and recommended painting it. However, he agreed to try to stain it first. He was right, of course, and he painted it a lustrous black. I'm sure she is going to love it.

After a short phone conversation concerning the issue, arrangements were made to drop them off. When we arrived, Bob Lewicke assessed the need, provided a reasonable quote and completed the repairs within a week. We are very pleased with the quality of the work and his responsiveness. We have other furniture which we plan to have Bob Lewicke repair given our good experience.

The boards were coming apart, the leaves were woobly and the finish was off. Bob repaired the table and it looks like new! The finish is a medium walnut and it brought out all the beauty of the table. He did this in a very timely manner and at a fair price. I would bring any furniture I need repaired to him again.

I took the pieces of the front leg that I had collected (some were missing); Bob successfully created and matched the design of the matching intact leg. He also stabilized the caster wheels so they do not fall off. My chair is now functional and beautiful. I am a happy camper! Bob is easy to work with; punctual; and affordable. don't throw away Grandma's broken chairs or tables, etc. until you've talked to him. . .A hard to find but much worthy Gem off Butler Street!

He promptly returned my call (on a Saturday) and was very pleasant in discussing what I had and what I wanted. Since I lived 45 minutes away he had me take photos and email them to him. He formulated his quote called me back and set up a convenient time for delivery. He did everything that he said he would ahead of schedule! The desk looks wonderful and I'm sure we will be able to pass it along to many more generations. I am so thankful for his work.

 + -1 moreMy table and chairs look amazing!! He did an excellent job! I was a little concerned as the table was oak and the chairs were beech...both with a very light stain. I wanted a very dark stain applied for a new look. Bob explained that beech is a very dense wood and may not absorb the stain as the oak would. He was very up front and honest that I may not be happy with the end result. We discussed the option of painting as well. I decided to take a chance with the stain and could not be happier with the results! Bob is very professional, knowledgeable, flexible, pleasant, easy to deal with and the price was more than reasonable. I highly recommend!!
