BKG Design - Budget Kitchen & Granite

What a nightmare! They gave no guidance. We talked about knobs and handles, and the coordinator had no recollection, so none came. I had back splashes and they visited and saw that, but they did not plan for back spashes. They told me they could inexpensively rewire my electric for an above the range microwave, so I bought one, and they abandoned the project. It cost hundreds with with a contractor. They saw my sink and replaced it with one much deeper, that left me with an $800 plumbing bill.

Wonderful business and people to work with! Love the quality and passion they carry. Terra Brubaker our kitchen Designer/Consultant was very patient with corresponding and planning. Terra gave us many options where we thought were only one. She kept up with conversations for any minor little detail whether it be via email , text or calls from start to finish. Their service and response time was prompt & without hassle! Being it's so near to the hectic holidays, she even called as a reminder on how to care for & get the best quality lifetime out of the products. We had cupboards installed without any problems. Love the selection they carry. We also had beautiful granite installed from their referral without any problems and actually exceeded my expectation! I have made new friends from this experience and will CONTINUE to refer anyone to" BUDGET Kitchen & Bath. "

I would like to say that the designer, Noelle, was outstanding. The finished product fits the space extremely well and compliments the rest of the house. The biggest issue is with the actual installation. I strongly recommend and I can not emphasize the word "strongly" enough, that you go elsewhere for the installation. Their "guys" were polite but the final fit and finish of the entire kitchen left me utterly disappointed and wishing I spend my $12k elsewhere. Cabinet doors are crooked, drawers don't line up with cabinet doors directly beneath them, shelving inside of the cabinets isn't level. The counter top itself is shimmed over 1/4" at one point and the adhesive was left over several cabinet fronts. Pieces of trim are missing, the light bar trim is actually falling down in one place and needs reattached after just 3 weeks of being installed. I upgraded the cabinets to include soft close door hinges and 5 different cabinet doors do not have them. Just very frustrating and disappointing, not to mention that these issues didn't concern the owner, Dave, in the least. Did I mention that all of this is after they came back 4 times for other installation related issues? Keep the designers but go elsewhere.

The two guys were very nice. Worked hard and got it done in a day Putting up our cabinets. I LOVE the cabinets! I would recommend anyone To go to Budget Kitchen and Bath. We found them at the Pittsburgh Home Show. He has very nice products to choose from.

Well we saw their display at the home show and decided to give them a look. Unlike any of the other kitchen companies we researched and met with this company's idea of customer service was very different. The estimate process consisted of me receiving an email containing a PDF of grid paper in which I send in all my own measuring. While I understand this is for them to give me a rough estimate and I suppose keeps their cost down I felt like just a number to them as this was so informal it didn't seem like they were even trying to get my business so we stopped the process. If you are on a tight budget this might be appealing but quite frankly even the low end budget kitchen will run you at least $20,000 so at least someone could come and measure and meet you.

From the initial consultation through final installation, everyone was very professional and thorough. They answered all our questions and met all of our expectations. Our installer, Mike, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He addressed all of our concerns before he left us with our beautiful kitchen cabinets. they were very prompt, were right on schedule and very neat. The quality of the cabinets and workmanship is worth the investment

We're very happy with our new kitchen. Budget Kitchen was especially good at scheduling and being on time. Every date was meet and the crew typically arrived slightly earlier than the specified time. I was super-satisfied with the cleanliness of the crews. During demolition and install our entry and adjoining rooms' carpeting was covered - that kept everything clean. At the end of each workday, the crew cleaned up too. More important than anything else... Budget Kitchen resolved problems quickly - I found this to be very comforting. We had a couple minor fit problems, but Budget Kitchen immediately resolved the problems and even provided an upgrade from a standard cabinet to a spice rack cabinet for the trouble. We love the spice rack cabinet. Our designer, Terra, helped us visualize the kitchen by using software that showed the "after" view of the room when we were in the early stages - very cool and helpful.

The design and planning went very well. Tera had excellent ides to update kitchen and utlizae space the best given old house intricities. Cabinets were ordered and arrived about 3 weeks later, but i wasn't told upfront ab out delievery cost as it was inspected my installer would be picking up assembled cabinets, or was told that most people rent a van - very impractical given my lack of means to carry cabinets and the large space needed that cabinets are per-assembled (i had indepednet contractor install the cabinets so this is probably not an issue when Budget installs the cabinets). Cabinets are excellent quality and beautiful in appearance. A few of the doors had some imperfections and that was caught by the company but has taken over 4 weeks to reorder and replace those doors. Budget set me up with Mont Grantie where i was able to browse the wearhouse and pick out my favorate slabs of stone that would be the ones used for my kitchen, i was given prices and then able to select the one that i really wanted - process was very easy and once cabinets were installed they came to the house to measured for granite them another 2 week deli till granite could be installed. Overall would use Tera again for design process and ideas, but encountered bumps, delays and added costs asking the way. i love the cabinets and granite is perfect.

After shopping around at the big box stores I stopped in Budget Kitchen &Bath to compare prices &quality. I found the price to be $700-$1000 less than what I had been quoted. Working with Terra made the design process easy and enjoyable. The cabinets arrived on schedule with no problems

My dad spoke with Terra Brubaker at the annual Pittsburgh Home Show, and she worked with me throughout the entire process. The reason we chose Budget Kitchen and Bath over competitors was because of what they were offering as a Home Show Special: 10%-off total, free crown molding, free trash kit, slow-close AND dove-tailed drawers, and more. The quality of the cabinets was superior without question, and, for a similar price, we would only be able to afford stapled cabinets at most other places. Terra was great to work with. She was knowledgeable and extremely responsive. The espresso cabinets look beautiful. I would recommend Budget Kitchen and Bath to anyone. Note: we installed the cabinets ourselves.

The showroom and ordering process was a bit less "customer friendly" than we experienced at other places but ultimately we feel that we received quality cabinets and countertop at a competitive price. The cabinets were delivered on time. We cannot order the counter top officially until the cabinets have been installed but I am confident that it will go as smoothly as the cabinets did. We would definitely go back and do business there again.

We needed to upgrade our kitchen and had been looking to different vendors for ideas and materials. Other places were completely out of our price range but Budget Kitchen and Bath had a variety of different price ranges that we could look at. I worked with Terra. Even though our first attempt at designing the kitchen looked great, I had major changes in what I wanted to do. Terra worked with me to make the changes. Then I wanted to see what a different cabinet would cost and Terra spent the time re-entering the data to get me a quote. Finally, I had a major design change and decided to change the color of the cabinets. Terra suggested a new beautiful cherry cabinet which I fell in love with right away and I had my cabinets within three weeks. Even though we were installing the cabinets ourselves, Terra still went above and beyond to give us advice and even called the cabinet supplier when we had detailed questions during our install. She even came to the house when we needed a different side panel. I am so pleased with how my kitchen looks!! I would recommend Budget Kitchen and Bath to anyone looking for cabinets at a reasonable price yet still have a quality cabinet.

I would highly recommend budget kitchen and bath, they were very nice and accomadating. We mostly dealt with Noelle, who was great, she answered all our questions and after a year long project and numerous times we had to cancel our delivery date, Noelle was always patient and accomadating.

Noelle Reinheimer has been my kitchen and bath consultant. She has made my experience delightful. She is extremely knowledgeable, pleasant, professional and patient. Noelle has went out of her way on more than one occasion to accommodate me and has went over and above countless times to make things easier on me. Budget Kitchen and Bath offers a quality product at a great price but the quality of the staff was an unexpected but wonderful surprise. I highly recommend them to anyone.

We were beyond pleased with Budget Kitchen and Bath from the first visit to the store. Terra, our designer, was so amazing from the first time we met her. She helped us find the most beautiful cabinets for our kitchen remodel and stayed well within our budget. We shopped around and Budget is by far the most reasonable for good quality cabinets. Our cabinets were in so fast and even sooner than expected. Even though we were installing ourselves Terra still went above and beyond to give us advice. I would recommend Budget and Terra to anyone thinking about doing a remodel. They are very professional and amazingly helpful!!

We had and overall excellent experience that exceeded our expectations.

I lived with my old kitchen for 20 plus years. The cost of a new kitchen and the thought of a renovation taking months to complete overwhelmed me. Then in March, I met Terra at the Home and Garden Show. The quality of the cabinetry, counters, and pricing on display at the show seemed too good to be true. With much skepticism, my husband and I went to the showroom and Terra designed my new kitchen. Her quote was slightly less than projected. I was still really nervous about moving forward with a company I knew little about (since they don't do much advertising, unlike others) despite the fact that my new kitchen looked to be beautiful and totally affordable. Taking a leap of faith, we gave Budget the job. Now, I wish I had another kitchen to remodel with Terra. She is lovely to work with and the time line she laid out has gone like clock work. Everyone arrived on time, when expected and have been wonderful to work with. The cabinet installers were so quiet, it was unreal. My project took approximately 6 weeks from the time we placed the deposit on the cabinets. It almost went too fast! When you see and hear other kitchen retailers on TV and radio, you pay for that advertising. Keep your money in your pocket and go see Terra! You will not be disappointed.

As my kitchen cabinets were installed, issues came up. Terra was most helpful and professional to come up with a solution. She worked with me and my installer throughout the whole process and was sure to help. Checking in with me and following up every step of the way to make sure I was happy with my kitchen. I love the look of my cherry cabinets and beautiful granite countertops- My kitchen is updated, functional, and beautiful! Thank you Terra and Budget Kitchen and Bath for creating my dream kitchen.

Dealing with them was a very pleasant experience. They provided very prompt, efficient and courteous service. I primarily dealt with Noelle, who maintained constant lines of communication and provided great expert advise, but in a very personable manner. What very few concerns that I had were dealt with immediately. All the employees were very pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family, and would without hesitation use their services in the future.

Terra at Budget is Fantastic!!! We came in with an idea of what we wanted and she made it a reality and it wasn't overwhelming like those other stores. She helped us design our kitchen in a matter of minutes with our measurements and pictures of the layout. She was very prompt with communication about when the cabinets would be in and when we could get the countertops installed. Also very friendly and works well with contractors. They have everything you need to update your boring or out of date kitchen/bath. Great products and selection of granite/countertops,cabinets, and fixtures. As of right now all of our cabinets are installed and ready for the grante countertops to be installed. We were originally going to go with laminate countertops because we werent sure if the granite was in our budget. But at budget they changed our whole idea with their affordable prices and awesome customer service. Our remodel will be done in two weeks and I know everything will be perfect. The cabinets are absolutely gorgeous!! The color of the cherry cabinets and the matching granite looks great together. Plus we got a beautiful backsplash to match everything. It looks so great and we are very pleased with their customer service, design skills, building skills, and professionalism.

Terra was the Designer and she was very patient with me as it took a while for me to choose the right product for my kitchen. Terra was great to work with, she always was quick to get back to me when I requested design changes or if I had questions. Terra made sure that I checked over all of my cabinets when they came in and any of cabinets that had even slightest of imperfections were replaced. Terra and Dave treated me very well and sold me a great product at an outstanding price.

When we first arrived at Kitchen Budget and Bath my wife and I were very satisfied with Terra's patience did not try to pressure us into buying a more expensive model and kept our budget in mind when designing out new kitchen. She showed us a 3-D version of what our kitchen would look like after the cabinets were installed. My wife and I were impressed on the low pressure friendly salesmanship that Terra offered during at the initial stages of our remodel. Next, we chose our cabinets and we told Terra that we wanted something that was cost effective and durable. We chose a cherry wood color with a basic hardware, and as previously mentioned Terra did not try to sell use something that we did not want. Then they came out to confirm the measurements and gave us tips on how we could save money by doing some of the prep ourselves before the cabinets were installed. Then Terra gave us our quote for our cabinets and told us the date for demolition of our old cabinets and installation. for our new cabinets. The dates of the demolition were confirmed and Budget Kitchen and Bath arrived at the date and time and did a great job of removing our cabinets and told us areas that needed drywall to insure that the cabinets would be level with the bulkhead. These helpful tips reaffirmed to us that this company had our best interest in mind and wanted to make sure that the job was completed correctly. Once again the date of installation arrived and the crew from Budget Kitchen and Bath arrived promptly and did a great job installing our new cabinets. Next, we chose our countertops and when we had our initial meetings Terra showed us the price difference between formica and granite. The price difference was not drastic and we were pleased to be able to afford granite countertops. We were referred to Mont Granite and chose our slab of granite and set a date for installation. We told Terra that we chose our granite and she told us that she would be in touch for the installation. The granite company arrived on the date and time of arrival and made our kitchen complete. We were satisfied with the process and we said that this was the first encounter that we had with a contractor that was flawless without any difficulties. Terra was available anytime we needed her and she kept everything on schedule during the time of our remodel. This process of demolition and installation took about a month. We are very satisfied with the end result and would recommend Budget Kitchen and Bath to anyone who is looking for a fair and honest contractor. Thanks for all that you did for us, we would not hesitate to recommend Budget Kitchen and Bath to anyone. t

They are truly awesome and at the lowest price you will find....trust me, I looked all over. I had them do a complete kitchen reno from all new cabinets to the kitchen sink and granite counter top. They offered as many styles of everything that I could imagine and all high quality cabinets....solid wood and not the cheap composite material. Noelle, provided me a 3d print-out of what my finished kitchen would look like and kept in touch with me throughout the entire process. All workers showed up on time and were pleasant to deal with. All in all, I received expert service and paid around $6,500 for an entire kitchen....pretty outstanding if you ask me. Definitely use these guys!

I decided to take the plunge & redo my kitchen. I have a townhome so the space isn't very large. I contacted a couple places who gave me estimates starting at $10K without really seeing my kitchen or asking any questions. I was able to sit down with Noelle in a couple days to review my space & plans at an estimated cost of around $6,000. She helped me select cabinets (& countertops which go in Friday) based on my description of what I envisioned & supplied me with drawings right away. Measurements were taken & cabinets were ordered. They came in in the 2 weeks promised & they worked with me on getting a quick install. Noelle was also great at helping me get the countertop install set up quickly & to fit my hectic schedule. The cabinets look & work great & expect the same with my countertops!! They just did the install as I opted to do my own demo to save money. Hopefully on my next project I can afford to let them do it all as it was a lot of work. Anyway, everyone was great at answering my questions & advising me on my first major remodel. They were also great with my dog who feels it is the duty of everyone who steps foot in my home to pay him court. Because of him I had to find time in my busy schedule to be present for the work so I could keep him from being underfoot. I had people tell me that the workmen may not even enter my home with him there but it was not a problem with any of them. I hope the counter guys like big furry mutts too!

It took us a few months to finalize what we wanted to do in our kitchen. All of our emails were responded to within a day or two. Everyone we spoke to was very pleasant from start to finish. Every time we made a change to the plan, new renderings were sent to us and we were able to get a very thorough cost breakdown for everything that we were changing. Once work started, it was a very quick demo. After the demo was completed, it seemed there was some backup in jobs and the quoted time for the job to be completed in went over (from a quoted 2 weeks to over 2 months). Not enough materials were ordered and we had to place later orders several times to just get the materials we needed. Additionally, some cabinets were damaged and needed to be re-ordered. We rolled with the punches because we were happy with what we were seeing. After the work was finally done, we were very happy with the results. Everything looked gorgeous and was working well. After a few months though, the plumbing that was redone under our sink started to leak and got under the new floors and was dripping down into our basement. This took 2 trips out and more than a week to resolve. There are still random leaks under there so we have to keep a bucket under the trap at all times to avoid further water issues. Aside from the plumbing issues, we are very satisfied with the services provided. The workers were fabulous and we felt very comfortable with them in our house even when we weren't home.
