They treated the outside of our house for prevention. They also removed a wasp nest in a pine tree on our property. They do great work. I have been a customer for years and will continue to be one.

We have used them for many years and are very satisfied. I gave a B for price because I feel they are a bit expensive but we would still continue to use them. Ian Hough, the owner is very professional and I have enjoyed talking with him over the years. His employees are also very professional and do a great job.

They did a real good job. They're very prompt, too. We called them up and told them we had a problem. They came out a few days later - it was very quick. He's very knowledgeable. I'd recommend them to anyone who has a flying insect problem.

It worked out well. We haven't had any bees since. He also let us know that we had a little damage to our beams, which we appreciated.

They're an excellent company to work with. Ian, the owner, is great to deal with and is knowledgeable. He did follow ups the entire year at no charge. He told me that the carpenter bees didn't like new paint, so I had my house painted and I've not had any problems since. I've recommended him to several of my friends, who have used him as well.

They come within a timely manner - it's usually within a day or two of you calling. We typically talk to Ian, who's the owner. They do a fine job.

They were prompt and efficient. The guy was very knowledgeable. He did a good job and he charged a fair price.

I called and spoke with Ian. We discussed our problem. He was very professional and engaging. He arranged to have someone out the next day. The tech was also very professional and knowledgeable. He assessed the problems, injected the spray and told us if we noticed yellow jackets in 2 weeks they come back and reapply at no charge. We never saw another yellow jacket.

Bee Control contacted me within a very short period of time after I left a voice message. Ian explained to me what the service would entail, and gave me 3 different prices dependent upon what they found/had to do. Chris was sent to my home and he searched for the nest but didn’t find it. He sprayed and said if I had any further issues to call again. The cost was one of the 3 prices Ian quoted me. The bees came back about 10 days later. I called Bee Control and they came right back out like they said they would and repeated the service at no charge to me. They said for me to call again if I still had issues. Perfect. Technician came out the day after my call and cleared the nest- no charge. He replaced as much dirt as he could in the hole and followed up with a phone call. This service request came several months after my annual service which was in April, I believe. I have had this company for several years and have had no complaints. Last year I had to call them back for a hornets nest and one year I think they came out 3 or 4 times after my initial service. Always prompt and professional. Fantastic company to deal with. Wish more companies had Ian Hough's business ethics!!! Just joined Angie's List-otherwise i would have submitted my review sooner.

Ian Hough promptly responded to my request to treat outside area of home, including decking and garden mulch areas, for bees. His service technician was a knowledgeable young man who performed the work very efficiently and expertly. I was told that if I had any recurrence of bees to contact the company and they would return to address the matter. Happy to say, I did not need to make a repeat phone call as the problem was handled in one application. I am happy to recommend Bee Control.

Steve was running a little late for the appointment and called to let me know he would be about 10 minutes late because of traffic. He actually was only a few minutes late which was no problem at all and I probably wouldn't even have noticed. Initially he was to remove a hornets nest from a tree in my front lawn but while I was talking with him, I noticed something flying around my shrubs near my front porch. When I looked in the shrubs I noticed another nest and told Steve. He took care of both nests and looked around my house to see if there were any other nests as well. I was interested in the process of removing the nest and he told me where I could stand to watch and still be safe (I'm allergic to bees). Afterward, he even showed me the inside of the nest and pulled out the queen to show me. I first used this company 3 years ago when I spotted a similar nest in a tree in my front yard. It was a Friday evening and I was leaving for the weekend very early the next morning. I spoke to Ian, the owner, about my situation and because the nest was closer to my front door I had to do something. Ian make arrangements for someone to come out Saturday morning, remove the nest and put the bill on my front porch. He trusted me to pay the bill which I greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Bee Control and will not hesitate to use them again.

Started out with a nice talk with Ian on the phone about our issues and then set up an appointment for 2 days later. The person sent out, Steve was really a nice guy; prompt (even ahead of schedule but called to see if it was o.k. to come earlier), professional, in and out operation. He gave me some good information on the habits of hornets and wasps so I know what to watch for. I'd use them again in a heart beat; very trust worthy nice guys.

Well so far. It was just approx a week and half ago, so I am waiting to see if what he did works for the long term Ian was very prompt with scheduling. He was on time for the appointment. He was also very informative, expalined exactly what he did during the extermination process. He also explained what to expect, ie- bees will hoover for a while, and that there is no gurantee that they will not return.

We use Bee Control every year, probably since 2010 (time flies when summers are wasp free). We are going to hire them again this year (2013 season). I generally telephone Ian at Bee Control in the spring and he works us into their schedule; we do not have to be home. They do some spraying and then we see no wasps. In the past we had wasps in underground (front lawn) nests and also around the exterior (under deck, once inside of a flood light fixture). Since we became Bee Control customers, we have seen nearly zero wasps (occasionally one will crop up--dried and dead in the attic or flying through). This is a big change from before. Some may say the service is pricey, but it works and they will come back to retreat if the stinging insects come back--this is peace of mind and I think it's worth every penny. Price will vary depending on the complexity and size of the property that they have to treat. When I've seen them, Bee Control's employees were clean cut and courteous, and were able to spot existing wasp nests. I've never had them come back after the initial visit.

Ian was very professional and explained thoroughly what to expect when I spoke with him on the phone. We set up an appointment for later that day. The representative arrived on time and was very professional. He drilled and killed the yellow jacket nest from the inside of the house, but did not remove the nest. He also treated the outside of my house where the chimney joins the house. I was told that I may see some yellow jackets post treatment for several days, which I did, but they were not very active and easy to dispose of. Bee Control also has a Warranty Period of Treatment. We also discussed the possibility of a Spring House Treatment for 2013 since this is the 2nd time I have had yellow jackets take a liking to my home. The last time was many years ago but they found me again. I also got a discount since I was a member of Angies List.

They were the only ones that were able to get rid of the bees. If they had not got rid of the bees we would have had to move out of the house. The cost was reasonable. I give them high honors and thanks for their help. So far its worked and I have not had to use them again or have any bees. I thank him and God for that.

I called and the very next day they were here. They did a great job. The bees are gone. He didn't make a mess at all. He said if the bees came back within 90 days they would come back to redo the work.

The person who answered the phone gave me some advice about steps I could take to keep the bees from entering my home. While I appreciated the advice and the man's honesty about taking a wait-and-see approach and not needing someone to come out right away, I found his manner to be rather unprofessional. He became frustrated with me when I didn't answer quickly enough about the position in which the bees were found. He made sarcastic comments like, "It's not a difficult question," and he even used profanity. I am not accustomed to being spoken to in such a rude manner and was quite offended. I don't believe I would hire this company based on this interaction. There are more professional companies in the area, who would appreciate my business. Update: it turned out we had a hornet's nest on our roof. It was discovered by a roofer and we used another company to spray it. Turns out the wait-and-see approach was the wrong course of action in this case.

We had a burgeoning wasp nest on our porch. I called them, and since the truck was in the area, they were able to be at our house an hour and a half later. Steve quickly removed the nest and sprayed the area. He was professional and friendly and clearly knew what he was doing. The charge was $150.00 ($135.00 with the Angie's List coupon) -- pricey perhaps, but it was worth it. They have guaranteed the area to remain wasp-free until the end of 2012. Our experience with Bee Control was one of the best experiences we have ever had with a contractor, and we will definitely call them again if we ever need a bee or wasp exterminator.

They were extremely responsive - scheduling the work within the next business day. I believe I called on Saturday, and they were there Monday morning. If I remember correctly, they offered weekend service for emergencies, but I didn't consider my situation an emergency. I was pleased with the service - and they were very upfront about the costs and what they would do. My mother was actually at my house when they performed the service, and she was very pleased with their professionalism and courtesy.

They are pretty good and pretty professional, but they can’t find the Queen bee.
