He was really nice. I would use them again if I had to. They were excellent, I can't complain. They had a woman come out to do the work. She came in to talk to me and gave me an estimate and a time that they could do it. They were a little bit later than what they said but that was okay, it was worth waiting for. This lady was very nice and she brought samples in. If I had any problems I would definitely call them again. Their price was good, I was happy with it.

I would definitely recommend them and they left no mess behind. They also hauled everything away which is hard to find someone to do this kind of work. Their price was reasonable for the service they provided. I paid half in advance and half when it was all done. There were at least three or four people here doing the work and it took about 2 days to complete.

Above and beyond. They were not the cheapest, but they were worth it. They knew what they were doing. They were also able to expedite my job knowing that I'd be moving in to my home with a very active 2-year-old and safety hazard (very steep drop) in my backyard. They arrived the day after we moved in to install the fence. Because of everything going on with the move, I forgot to trim a few branches that they'd told me needed to go prior to the project. They could have delayed the project by a month, but instead they quickly removed the branches for me. They didn't have to do that, but I *really* appreciated it. The project wasn't delayed and my little guy has been safe every since.

Their workmanship and professionalism was unbelievable. They constructed the fence right on site; piece by piece. It is gorgeous. I had them last year in April to put up a cyclone fence and couldn't believe what a wonderful job they did, but to get them a year later for an entirely different type of fence and them to be as impressive as the year before was remarkable. I strongly recommend anyone who needs a very trustworthy and professional company to not hesitate to call Allegheny Fence.

The estimator came quickly; gave us a good estimate. We knew they were very busy and we were OK about waiting for the work to be done. When it was finished, I was happy with the shape of the railing but not the finish. After a few phone calls, the "foreman" came to look at the job and took photos. He told me that someone would be out to correct the job. I called regularly so that our job wouldn't fall thru the cracks and thankfully, they waited until the BEST finisher could do the job on a warm sunny day. We are VERY satisfied with the job. I do believe that the true test of a provider's worth is how they react to problems. We did our part in being patient and they did their part in doing a great job! There was a bit of overspray on one of our ornamental shrubs from the first crew but I didn't report it in a timely fashion so I don't hold it against them. I know it's hard to check the work from each of the providers but it's worth it.

They did a great job. They were professional and showed up right on time.

I called for an estimate for a driveway fence. the representative's arrival to our home was punctual. i was expecting professional mannerisms as well as an estimate within 5 or 6 days (like other companies we called). when he came,. he kept "kidding" with comments like: " if you can afford it" ;" we can make what you can afford" "most customers don't get the automatic opener until later on because it's expensive", etc . I tried to give this representative the benefit of the doubt though kidding about our ability to afford his company's services were not, in my humble opinion, appropriate. The fact that we have yet to receive an estimate for the work one month later (nor has anyone initiated explanation) implies that perhaps the representative was not at all kidding. I even called the office to inquire about the estimate. the representative called me around 15 minutes later saying that he needed "additional information" (?) we've heard nothing from allegheny fence company since. though our origins are east african, we have been here long enough to experience many excellent and professional contractors. This experience, unfortunately, was not in the excellent category.

Upon the initial contact Kathy came out submit the bid and informed me that the job could be done in six weeks. Kathy helped with what we needed, and went the extra mile to get a zoning permit. Almost exactly to the day Jeff the job foreman called to come out the next day to look over the job site. Jeff and Brandon worked on our fence for four days. The quality of work was excellent, both guys were professional and kept us informed day to day. The fence exceeds our expectations and complete strangers stop to admire the fence.

Had these guys do fencing work for us in the past. The quality of the work is good but their prices are out of sight. I recommend them if you can afford them. They didn't offer me a slight discount, even though I had them do a lot of work in the past.

Allegheny Fence came out, gave a good estimate, and completed the work within a few weeks. I'm fully satisfied. Communicating with them is best done by phone. They're a bit hit or miss via email.

The sales representative was very detail oriented and listened to our needs. The contractors were on time, asked questions, were very courteous and meticulous about their work. They did excellent work and I would recommend Allegheny Fence to my family and friends.

Pretty simple job really, the were prompt, courteous, and their repair job was technically sound. I would use them again.

Upon acquiring a second dog, we felt that a fenced-in area would be good for our two dogs to run untethered, but still be safe. We briefly considered an electronic fence, but decided an actual fence would be better. The estimator from Allegheny Fence came out and discussed our needs and wants. Together we decided on the size (40' x 40') and the placement of two gates -- a regular sized one and a double size one to accommodate the comings and goings of a lawn tractor. It took two days and two installers to complete the job. They were very professional and worked very hard even though the temperature and humidity was daunting. Later, our newly adopted dog tried to escape and did some damage to the fencing. The representative came out to assess the damage and when a crew was in our area, they were also dispatched to our place to repair the fence. Actually, they did not repair the fence, but rather replace the section that was damaged. We are very pleased with the work; the dealings with the company and their representatives; and even the price.

They are excellent. They are a little pricey.

everything went smoothly from start to finish. i heard about them from a few of my friends. so i called on a tues., they got back to me about 2 days later and were able to visit my home the following week for an estimate on the work to be done. the sales rep, kathy, showed me various options/styles for my railing and made suggestions as to what would compliment the style of my home's exterior. after discussing my budget, i made my final decision and placed my order. since all the material is custom ordered, it took about 4 weeks for the railing to be installed. the workers who installed could not have been more professional and knowledgable. we had a tricky area at the top where the steps met the stoop and at the bottom where the steps met the slightly asymmetrical walkway and the installers knew just how to handle these problem areas. the installation took a little over 2 days to complete, and i have had many compliments on it since

We required a new gate for a new retaining wall and steps just built this past summer. Because the opening was only 32" wide we could not use a standard gate. Paul from Allegheny Fence Construction Co came in late September and gave us the estimate and stated it would take four to six weeks to make the gate. They called on November 3rd and wanted to come out that day and put the two posts in the wall and make sure the measurements were correct for the gate. They said they would come the following week to put in the gate. Two workers arrived on Thursday, November 10 and put in the gate. The gate looks good and blends in with the retaining wall and steps. The only problem I had was they did not call in advance to let me know they were coming. It was fortunate for them that I was at home at that time.

When we had our front steps replaced, the wrought iron railings were removed, these had to be reinstalled and required a welder. We contacted Allegheny Fence Co. and someone cam almost immediately to estimate the cost. Later, Allegheny Fence contacted us and emailed an estimate. We did have to contact the company to make sure our down payment was recieved, however this was very easily done since they were willing to work with us via email. The work was done quickly and very professionally. The railings are solid, the concrete was undamaged, and the welds are perfect. We were extremely pleased with the work and the price and will likely use this company again for our fencing needs.

In April 2010 Allegheny Fence installed a 5 foot black ornamental aluminum fence at my home. Frankly, they made my decision an easy one. They really listened to what I – the customer- wanted. They did not try and sell me something I could not afford – they did not even tempt me. They were professional each and every time I called with questions – and I had a lot of questions. They came over to check and double check measurements prior to installation. They even answered questions from the neighbor. Bottom line is Allegheny Fence worked me so I could have my dream fence. Though ordered in December 2010, I was kept informed of the status of the install throughout the waiting process - it was Mother Nature that was not being cooperative and as one knows...you can’t mess with Mother Nature and you can’t install a fence in rain, ice and snow. Installation date was set and in 3 days I had my dream fence. No mess, no problems, no attitudes! It was great! My fence is a masterpiece of construction and a neighborhood showpiece – it is just beautiful!

I contacted them to take the chain link fence down long enough so that I could get a pick up truck through the yard. They were helpful. They are still around. They were very reasonable. The actual day they came out was kind of strange as were trying to defend a storm. We had another company bringing in top soil. Their job was to take the fence down and put it back up and it was fast. He as an individual did what he was supposed to do but not something that he was not supposed to do. He was alright. He took it down and put it back up and he was gone. He was sort of an incident player that day as to get the dump trucks to get the soil in.

Salesperson lacks professionalism and did not make me feel comfortable in their visit and later emails.

Our primary concern was that the fence would prevent our dog (samoyed) from escaping. My wife and I knew that this would be tricky, since we have a terraced yard. The crew was very communicative throughout the process and provided several helpful considerations that lead to the best possible solution. We are very pleased with the quality of wood used and craftsmanship in fence. Highly recommended!!!

Allegheny Fence showed up one day and put up the posts in concrete. They showed up a few days later and put up the rest of the fence and gates. Over time, the front gate became misaligned and was difficult to open and close. I called Allegheny Fence months after the gate became misaligned and they showed up the next day and fixed it. very responsive to customer needs.

AF measured where the fence was to be replaced and I asked that a written estimate be given to turn into Insurance. I aslo indicated that I wanted a different type fence as a replacement. I spoke with Paul twice bout what was needed and wanted and to date (7/18/10) I have not recieved an estimate - not written nor spoken.

I was relocating from out-of-state to Pittsburgh. Kathy was very helpful. She helped me find a surveyor and with the permission of the home sellers measured the property. I have two dogs that I wanted to have a yard for ASAP. Work began on the fence a the day after closing and it was completed about a week after I moved in. They even made sure to have the fence attached to the house while constructing a part that needed brought back a few days later.

They had a good price. They didn't go the extra mile but it was fine.
