He was late coming, but upon arriving got right to work and did a great job. Definitely no complaints. Was very polite and efficient. Gave me a variety of options when he found that my front door would not be an "easy" replacement (not a typical size that is carried by them). Great job overall!

We are in the process of selling house after the renters moved out. We wanted the locks changed and had purchased new hardware. The technician explained that we still had the original lock on the door from when house was built in 1930's. He explained that it was a very good lock and they don't make them any longer. He was able to change the lock cylinder on the existing lock which saved us money. I felt the technician was very courteous, knowledgeable and efficient.

Great. He made suggestions that didn't cost more and didn't try to sell more than we asked for. He also answered questions we had about the security of customer data. We have every confidence in the service and will be calling them for future work.

The service worked well, it was quick and easy. They came out within a week of purchasing the big deal. There were additional charges because we had a few other pieces replaced. This was the first time we used them. They were efficient, polite and quick. The locks have been working great.

It was excellent! They fixed a front door lock. It took them about an hour to complete the service. The technician that came was very knowledgeable and fair. He was the best locksmith I’ve ever had to deal with!

It was a Big Deal purchase. It worked out very well. They came out very quickly. He was very thorough, looked at other things. It was just a really good experience. My interactions with him were very good. He was a nice guy. I had no complaints. The work turned out perfect. We did spend more than the $29. He came out within a week after the purchase.

Total price turned out to be twice what the purchased Big Deal was for. This had something to do with one of our doors having an old/custom style of lock, but this could have been communicated a little more clearly and was a surprise for us.

Communication was great. Showed up on time. I'm a first-time home buyer who bought an older house and wanted the locks re-keyed. Explained to me that the type of locks I have in my house are very old and very valuable so to never let anyone try to trick me into putting new lock sets in because that person will just take them and sell them for quite a bit of money. One of the locks gave him some trouble because the people who owned the house prior painted over everything in the house from top to bottom but he took care of it no problem. Was in and out quickly and was very pleased with the price for the services performed.

The technician from Action Locksmith came to my house initially on Saturday, October 4, 2014 to look at the handle on my screen door, which I was not able to lock. The handle was completely forozen. He tried a couple of remedies to unfreeze the handle without success. He told me that because it was an old lock one, it might be hard to find one to match it exactly, but that they would try to order me a new one. He took a picture of my handle and told me that someone would concact me as soon as they found a handle . On Monday I received a call that they found a handle in the state of California , that it would take 5 to 7 business days for it to arrive and did I want them to order it. I told them yes. I received a phone call on Friday, October 10th that the handle was in. I told them that I was available on Saturday morning. The same technician arrived promptly on Saturday morning after phoning me to let me know he was approximatley 15 to 20 minutes away from my home. He was fast, friendly and efficient. He installed the handle in no time at all. This was my very first time using a business from Angie's List. The cost was affordable, my issue was handled quickly, the technician whose first name starts with "W" was extremely professional and I would not hesitate to use this company again for future locksmith services.

The services were done as requested. I did have to wait for a matching deadbolt set to come in for the follow up service, but they called as soon as it was available.

They installed the locks fine but there were supposed to be more keys provided. The service was good and prompt. They got the job done in about one hour. The scheduling was fine.

He was running late; called to let me know that he would be a little late. He was only about 15 minutes late, I very much appreciated the call. Work was done in a timely fashion. He switched out a standard door knob and keyed it with a level handle on the inside of the room and a lock. He Re-Keyed the other door, previous keys had been lost. Everything worked and looked good after he had completed the job. A little pricey but well worth the money. Was very pleased with his work and would not hesitate to call the company back if needed.

It was excellent. I thought their prices were reasonable and the quality was excellent. They had to come back a second time because they had to order the part. The worker was very knowledgeable and professional.

Locksmith was late, I had to call and ask if he was coming. The scheduling person told me she was just about to call me. Typically not an issue but that particular day I had another appointment and his travel delay caused me to be late for my appointment. Tech worked efficiently and was most definitely well educated in his craft. Explained what he was doing and how long it would take. My second point of contention was the cost. I purchased an Angie's List deal and thought that amount would mostly cover my needs for a re-key. He charged me an additional $80 for the re-key. I could have gone to Home Depot and purchased a new deadbolt lock and installed it myself for less than the re-key! I was not happy with the "DEAL" at all and felt like I'd been taken advantage of by locksmith.

He was confused at first by the design of the keypad's locking mechanism and initially told me it was broken. After about 30 minutes he was able to figure out the design and begin installing it. I provided the lock and a handle, but the handle wouldn't fit, which was my fault. I asked him to put in another one like it. I meant a handle that would fit correctly with no locking mechanism on the handle since we would use the deadbolt exclusively for keyless entry to the front door. I needed to leave and my significant other arrived about 10 minutes later and saw that he had installed one with a lock. She asked if the lock could be used accidentally to lock other people out, since we have tenants that come in out. Since some door locks unlock when the small handle bolt (not deadbolt I don't remember the name of the part) that goes into the wall from the door when it is closed, so it can only be locked once you are outside and the door is closed. He said it could not happen accidentally, so we thought that meant it was the type of lock I just described. However when I got home and tested the door after he left, I locked it then closed the door with me outside, and I had to go around back. Obviously at some point a tenant would be careless and turn the lock, which would mean everyone would be locked out that didn't have or know how to get a backup key. I called and explained the miscommunication and they sent someone a day or two later and replaced it with a handle with no lock at no additional charge. However I think the new handle was a bunch cheaper and they didn't give any of that money back, so there was in effect a hidden fee. Nonetheless they came back and kindly fixed it without a direct charge, and the door lock works correctly now, so overall I am happy.
