We hired them to finish our fireplace with stone. The room is a paneled room and an old wooden mantle had been removed, leaving exposed (and ugly) old brick behind. Aleh is very good in his work and very professional. Low key, but very clearly knows his stuff. He provided input on the quantity of stone and on the colors, based on his past experience. His estimates were very reasonable and he stuck within them. There was very little documentation, but that wasn't a concern. The only real drawback was that we had to go pick up the stone ourselves - three boxes, weighing about 80 pounds each. Even if he had to charge for the service, it would have been better if he had offered it as an option for him to pick up the stone. Aleh was very flexible with our schedule, and even with the long gap between our initial and subsequent contacts. He was very easy to work with.

Aleh came out to give us a quote in a timely manner, and was considerably less than the other contractor that quoted the job. We were required to pick up the stone veneer and hearthstones, he provided the wire mesh, grout, etc at cost. We needed to install the mantle, as he only does the masonry work. One of his employees actually did the installation once they got the plan together (had to figure out a way to use the hearthstones we picked out, as they were too thick, and were going to block access to below where the pilot is situated). We expanded the footprint of the stonework, so they did cut back the trim leading up to the stone and cut back any carpet that was necessary. They were able to do the installation in one day, as promised, and showed up in the half hour window we were given (although, that time frame was revised the day of the work). My only complaints would be that they didn't clean up terribly well (no shop vac was used to sweep up afterwards) and the trim they took off to cut back was not nailed back in, it was simply pushed back in place, using the existing nails. Very minor in my opinion, the stonework turned out great, for a very reasonable price.

Everything went smoothly. They started the job when they said they would and finished quickly in 2 days. I've received many compliments on the job and the finished look from many of the other contractors working on the project. The stone really added an updated look to the front of the house and helps offset the older siding. I would recommend A-Z and Aleh.

Everything went great. They came out and gave me an estimate and they came back to do the job when they said they were going to and they did it efficiently and with a professional look. Good work at a fair price. I would definitely bring them back if I needed any other work done.

Aleh did an awesome job for us. I absolutely love it. He has a great eye for detail and placement of the stone. He was very professional and came when he said he would. He also cleaned up after himself. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for stonework. Very reasonable.

Aleh and Art were absolutely wonderful! They did a great professional job and cleaned up daily. The stone looks gorgeous. I was worried about the look as my house is an old half stone half siding house built ion 1932. The job looks like the house was built with stone and i cant believe the difference it has made. I have had so many great comments on the house since the stone was finished. I remember driving up the driveway when the stone work was complete and the porch lights were on and i thought wow, is that my house! Stunning! The stone work looks fantastic and Aleh's idea to cover my old aluminum arches in the breezeway with stone was brilliant. The arches are so different and I absolutely love them! I will post pictures of the work asap. Its truly amazing. I would hire AZ-stoneworks any day of the week. In fact I guarantee they will be back to my place next spring for another job!

The contractor showed up when he said he would. He did an awesome job, very professional and clean. Finished in 3 or so days. I found it very refreshing to work with someone who actually does what they say their going to do!!

We received 4 estimates for our project. We were removing old yellow brick from our front stoop and having it replaced with stone veneer. We were having the same stone veneer used to cover our existing yellow brick wall (knee high along our driveway). Aleh was not the most expensive nor the least, but having viewed the work he completed on other jobs helped in our decision making process. After having met with Aleh in late Spring, we decided to use him for our work. Because we had to have a new walk way poured before the stone work could begin, we were happy that Aleh could be flexible with our schedule. After selecting our stone, Aleh asked us to just let him know when we were two weeks from being ready for him to begin. Throughout the process Aleh was always accommodating and returned all of my phone calls, emails or text messages within the same day. I would urge anyone who is looking to have stone work done to their home or business contact Aleh. He was great to work with.

We wanted to upgrade our end-unit town house which is located in Pittsburgh and used as a rental residence. We live on the other side of the state. We rely heavily on Angie's List for honest, dedicated contractors whom we can trust to perform their work without supervision while providing a high quality product. One of the providers with high marks was A-Z Stone Works. We were having our townhouse re-sided by a contractor, but wanted some stone veneer added to and quot;kick it up a notchand quot;. We were able to communicate by phone and the internet. Aleh was on the same page with us from the beginning. He took the concept and put it down on paper for us to view. There was some tweeking but the final drawing looked great. We talked about colors and materials. He left nothing to chance and made no assumptions about the materials or how it complemented the siding. We met in person once to confirm the stone choice and all final details. For a seamless project, we had Aleh communicate directly with the siding contractor. They had set up a face to face meeting to finalize all details between them. In the end, the finished product was wonderful. It was exactly what we were looking for all along. Aleh talking with the siding contractor directly, the stone came out beautifully. I've already received a couple of calls asking who did the job for us. We passed along Aleh's name and phone number. We also understand from the tenant that the neighbors are speaking highly about the finished stone product. I highly recommend Aleh and A-Z Stone Works. I look forward to working with this company again someday.

Aleh was extremely professional from my first phone call to to following up after the project was finished. He was clean quick and extremely affordable!

We expected the project to take 2 days, but Aleh was able to complete it in 9 hours from start to finish. It was a great experience overall. Since work was done inside the house, I expected some mess. But Aleh was very neat and the place looked Spic and Span throughout the work process. The finished product looked amazing and my wife and have been enjoying our new fireplace for about a year now. I am very greatful to Aleh for doing an excellent job in no time! I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone who plans to start any stone and masonry projects. He is a true A+ contractor!!!

The service was easy, very fast and he did excellent work. No hassles whatsoever. I had my hearth installed within a week of the time I ordered the stone. I love it! I would not hesitate to recommend A-Z to anyone.

The project is going excellent! I have been in the process of remodeling the inside and outside of my entire home now for well over 5 years. I can say with confidence of the hundreds of vendors I have used in the process thus far A-Z Stone Works has been the most professional, and delivered an end produce that surpassed my expectations (not an easy task) I would without a doubt insist anyone using this site that is in need of natural or man made stone veneer work to give A-Z a call during your discovery phase or bid process.
