Description of Work: Mr. Burkle himself came to our home, to preview the job of installing a switch to our gas fireplace and possibly a remote control. He was very punctual with the time he scheduled to visit. Unfortunately, he explained there was not enough room to work in the wall at the gas line, due to installed bookshelves and the outside wall. He said if he began the project and the gas line moved, they would have to tear down the wall to grab the line again. He also believed the ingnitor switch wouldn't even fit in the necessary area. We believe he could have gone ahead with the project and, if these above event(s) occurred, he could have just backed out, taken his money, and left us with a mess. We were very grateful that he instead chose to be honest with us upfront and explain why he wasn't comfortable taking on the project. We would use his services again.

Description of Work: I recently moved from a house with a woodburning fireplace to a condo with a gas fireplace and gas furnace. I called because I smelled gas when I came home from work one day. Even though my gas and carbon monoxide detector had not gone if, it was still worrisome. They arrived promptly in response to my call, which was much appreciated. Figured out the problem right away and reassured me that there was no gas leak.....even showed me how to work the pilot light in my gas fireplace. I would definitely recommend AJ Buerkle as a provider.

Description of Work: Buerkle was doing some plumbing work for my condominium Assn. on June 2nd -- a Back-Flow test of a valve they had installed last year, which required access through my garage, and turning off the water for a period of time. They came promptly when they said they would, and turned the water off and back on within the time period they had designated. They were very pleasant and professional. I do not know the charges, because it was ordered and paid for by my condo assn. I have used Buerkle's plumbing services off and on through many years, both at my previous home and my present condominium, and have always found them very dependable, highly competent, and pleasant and professional. I have recommended them to family and friends on several occasions.

Description of Work: We had a ice-maker supply line beak in the basement on a weekend. My daughter found it and my wife went to Angies List and found a good bet on an emergency repair. They were very prompt and professional. They do charge extra for an emergency weekend visit but they were a lifesaver for us. The charge was high for the work but not high for the rapid response on a weekend. I would hire these folks again.
