Description of Work: A-Comfort Service replaced my furnace in 2015 and last November when the furnace stopped working I called them to take a look to see if the repair would be under warranty. The technician arrived the next day and quickly determined that the gas valve was bad on the unit and that it was not under warranty. The service call lasted less than an hour. The technician was responsive and friendly but it seemed to be a high price for changing a 150 dollar valve.

Description of Work: A Comfort Services installed a Trane furnace and air conditioner. The crew worked efficiently, and the furnace is working well. A representative came to the house a week after the installation to check the settings on both units. Since it has not been needed as yet, the air conditioner has not been evaluated.

Description of Work: Furnace broke down the Saturday before the polar vortex. They tried their best to diagnose the problem over the phone and they felt confident that it could be fixed without parts (since it would be hard to get parts for the brand of furnace it was until Monday). So, with the upcoming cold days I had them come out for an emergency call on Saturday night. It was a simple fix and the furnace has been working fine since.

gas leak repair
+ -1 moreThe gas company shut off our gas two days before an expected cold front because of an outside leak. I called A-Comfort and they sent someone out within a few hours to look at the problem and give me an estimate. I signed the paperwork and they came back as promised at 8:00 the next morning. The same guy who came to do the estimate headed up the repair. They hand-dug the holes to minimize the damage to the yard (and to also minimize the cost), and had the gas turned back on by that afternoon. They were very clear about what I should expect, and gave me a break on the cost of the extra holes they had to dig, so the total ended up a little less than quoted. They were friendly as well as efficient, and returned promptly the next morning as promised to fill in the holes. They turned what started out as a nerve-wracking experience into one that was almost pleasant!
Description of Work: Repaired gas line leak, hand-dug holes at street connection and at house meter to thread pipe sleeve through, hand-dug two additional holes in yard to access swings in the line, capped off inside gas lines to prepare for gas company spot check, called gas company and stood in on my behalf to the gas company representative when he got here to test the lines and turn the gas back on, hooked appliances back up and tested after gas turned back on, filled in holes and cleaned up.

+ -1 moreA-Comfort Service was outstanding. They contacted me to remind me the day before Tom came, that he would be there at 8:00 AM. He was actually early for the appointment and was very professional and knowledgeable. He cleaned the furnace and answered a number of questions and concerns I had about it. He also let me know that my hot water tank should probably be replaced soon and explained to me why that was so. He will be coming back out in early 2007 to replace my hot water tank and install an air filter and humidifier. I was very impressed, and I will trust all of my heating and air conditioning needs from now on to A-Comfort Services. They came highly recommended to me, and now I understand why. They give terrific service!
Description of Work: He cleaned my furnace, and I purchased a maintenance contract to have my furnace and air conditioning checked once a year.

Description of Work: WE NEEDED A CHECK UP. WHEN JACK CAME HE DID A THOROUGH CHECK UP AND FOUND THE HEAT EXCHANGERS RUSTED AND CRACKED. JOHN, ONE OF THE BOSSES, CAME OUT TO CHECK IT ALSO. WE NEEDED A NEW FURNACE, AIR CONDITIONING COIL AND HUMIDIFIER AND FLUE LINER. WE DID NOT HAVE ANY HEAT, SO JACK BROUGHT HEATERS TO GET US UNTIL MONDAY. THEY FIXED THE FURNACE IN ONE DAY. THEY CLEANED AFTER THEMSELVES.
