Description of Work: four windows installed plain white blinds; look good; function fine. |good results.

Description of Work: Installed vertical cellular shades for a 1 story " Levittowner" Model Home. The estimate was done on the scheduled date, all of my options including colors and material explained in detail. The installation was also done on the scheduled date professionally and to my satisfaction. The firm was quick to respond to questions or inquiries between the estimate date and the install date. I was very satisfied with my purchase and would not hesitate to refer them to residential or commercial property owners.

Description of Work: First, I went to Yocum's website and picked the venetian blinds I was interested in, then I took measurements of my 3 windows. Next, I called Jim Yocum to get an estimate for 3 windows (2 large & 1 small) as part of my Angie's List Big Deal. He gave me a price based on the blinds and my measurements, and said the actual price would be based on measurements taken by his representatives. A very experienced, personable rep came out a few days later to take measurements. I asked the rep to measure all of our windows, not just the 3 windows I was interested in. It took him about 10-15 minutes to measure all the windows, and he noted the measurements on a form that showed where each window was located within the home, so that additional blinds can be ordered for the other windows, without a Yocum representative having to come back out and measure the windows again. My measurements were slightly off, but the final price was still close to the estimate. Jim said the blinds are custom ordered and take about 2 weeks to come in. It did take about 2 weeks. Another rep came to install the blinds. He removed the old brackets that held up the old blinds and installed new brackets. I thought there would be a bit of a mess because of the drilling involved, but there was no mess at all. It took him about 1 hour to replace the old blinds and brackets for our 3 windows. He mentioned that they do commercial installations as well as residential work. The venetian blinds I bought look nice, are good quality and American-made with a limited lifetime warranty. Glad to have a good business to go to, for this type of work.

Description of Work: They had placed shutters on my living room, dining room and kitchen windows. The shutters were not made so that you can open them up away from your window separately. Top and bottom are connected and can my open/closed separately in regards to the top and bottom views. This was a known issue for me in that I have cats that like to sit in the window and look out. I went with these kind of shutters because I was under the impression that they do not breakdown as often or have problems. I really like them now that I dressed them up with the valances I had envisioned my decor to be. But let me see in a duration if that will continue as I will need to consider the cats in their past-time of laying on the perch. Description of Work: I was very pleased with the service and punctuality. I was disappointed that my products still cost what they did, but I believe that's just the way it goes when purchasing quality shades and I do believe I received a fair price. The folks were great to work with.
