Beyond your typical "A," Joe responds to unlikely emergencies years after installation -- in my case --- the same day. The EZ-Breathe motor was screaming when I got home. When I turned it off, there was the distinctive scrabbling sound of small trapped animal. When I reached Joe by phone, he couldn't believe that an animal could have come thru the vent, but he came to my home anyway, and disassembled the system, and freed two chipmunks, and got the motor working again, and used some old screening I had to cover the vent until I could get a permanent small animal barrier. When your dollar can buy this kind of dedicated service, why would you consider anyone else?

Joe was very responsive to the initial phone call and came out in a very timely manner. He spent extra time checking out the basement and came up with several ideas to make our 200 year old basement cleaner and drier. He is so thorough and really cares about getting things right - you just feel confident with having the work done. His price was very, very competitive. All the gentlemen who worked on the project were punctual, friendly and polite. Due to the design of an old basement, they had to carry hundreds of pounds of rocks up the steps as the window opening was too small - no complaints - they just did it. This extended the work schedule but there was no additional charge - amazing! And the finished product is incredible - clean, dry and smells so fresh. The stone walls and floor look so much better than expected and the musty odor is completely gone. Just a great job. Wish we had gotten this work done years ago. This is an all around professional company that does a great job at a reasonable price. Really cannot ask for anything more. If I ever needed similar work done, I would not go anywhere else and would recommend them to family and friends.

I ordered the special offer for a mold inspection and mold testing. Joe the owner was a polite, friendly and knowledge person. He could tell right away that there was something leaking in the ceiling and said he had to remove the ceiling before he could repair any damage and so he could determine the cause of the leak. I asked him for an estimate for the job and was given a price of $1,000. A few weeks later two of his men showed up and removed the drywall ceiling. They laid out coverings on all the surrounding areas as to not make any mess. Once the ceiling was removed it was obvious that the leak was coming from my upstairs neighbor as the upstairs flooring was all wet and there was a slow drip now splashing on the floor where as before it was soaking in the ceiling. I showed my neighbor the leak and the next day she called and had someone come out and determine her water heater had a slow leak. She had it replaced that day and the leaking stopped immediately. The ceiling area needed to completely dry so a few weeks later 2 of Joe’s workers showed up to close up the ceiling. First they treated the open area to get rid of any mold that remained and also to prevent future mold. As with the last visit from Joe’s workers, drop clothes were laid all around the work area from the front door to the laundry closet. Joe showed up that day toward the end of the job to make sure everything was done properly. The actual cost for the job was exactly what Joe quoted. All of his workers were friendly and polite and did very good work. Thank you Joe and your staff for a job well done.

It went well. It was a visit for an estimate for future work. The employee was professional and knowledgable.

There was a mix-up with the address for services but we have been assured that a check in our name has been sent to us in the mail.

Joe was quick to return my initial phone call and even came out to the house on a Sunday to take a look at our issue. He spent extra time trying to determine the cause of our water damage and how to most effectively prevent it from recurring. My husband and I immediately felt comfortable with Joe and so we hired him (we had previously met with a larger company that wanted to charge us twice as much money for half the amount of work). The job was delayed a couple of days due to another running over, but we had expected that to begin with (given the profession) so it wasn't an issue. Andy showed up with his crew and they started on the exterior work first, which was more labor intensive than they had originally thought as it required digging about 7 feet down for the chimney. This required more time for the job but Joe did not increase the cost, which we appreciated. Andy and his team were professional, courteous, and worked very hard to get the job done timely. They also did their best to preserve 2 expensive trees that were planted in front of one of the walls being waterproofed from the exterior. I wasn't home when they finished the job and when I returned I noticed they had forgotten the pop-up drain, but when I let Joe know about it he had it completed right away so it wasn't an issue. Joe was very responsive and easy to work with! I would definitely hire him again, as well as recommend him to friends and family.

Joe did a great job! He and his crew were always prompt, efficient & respectful of my home and family at all times. I am truly thrilled with the job they did. My house is currently for sale and Joe knew how important it was to me that this job be done right...and it was. His crew completed the disinfecting that was related to the mold he found which was not too bad but nonetheless needed to be addressed. When the disinfecting process was completed, it was left to dry for twenty-four hours with the aid of fans. After inspecting the job & approving it the crew began the painting/waterproofing process. My basement (which I thought of as an old cellar is now a clean, fresh white basement that I can be as proud of as I am with the rest of my lovely home. And, in addition to the excellent work that was done, Joe offers a guarantee for as long as you own the house; the guarantee is transferable to one subsequent owner. You can't beat that!!! Joe came out to evaluate a damp basement, some water after heavy rains. Other contractors came out and assumed a particular foundation and charged according to that assumption. Joe looked, took a second look then came back with tools to confirm his assumption that it was a different foundation than the others thought. This changed the pricing in our favor. Work was thorough. clean up great. I expected to clean up myself after all of the digging but the crew took care of it. The crew was courteous, foreman Andy was attentive to all of my questions. Joe displayed a great knowledge of basement waterproofing and I would recommend him to friends with the same problem.

Joe and his crew were timely in responding and giving us options of how to address the problem. They scheduled a day very quickly to perform the repairs and explained what would be completed and when. Joe and his crew had to do some drilling into the concrete floor and wall but covered the work area and placed tarps to cover the finished areas of our basement. They later returned to seal the crack and inspected the work and ensure everything looked finished.

Workers arrived on location. I showed them where the window wells were outside and inside.. They asked me what entry could they use to gain access to house and basement. I indicated front or back. They came through front of house and laid down tarps from first floor to basement. After completion cleaned everything up and showed me what work was completed. They left the place the same way they found it. Nice and clean.

I called Joe on a Thursday and that Sunday morning he was out to look at the job and give an estimate. When Joe arrived he was very professional and friendly. Introductions were done and I took him downstairs to show him the problem I was having with the water coming into the house. Joe took the time to explain to me that the water was coming up from the ground not so much as in through and down the walls. Joe spent the time looking inside and outside around the house. He was very detailed in explaining what was happening and what needed to be done to stop the water. I appreciated the time he gave to me and the details he presented to me as well. My wife and I were so impressed with Joe and the fact that he worked with us and our budget, we signed a contract that day. Monday morning Joe called and said they were able to start the job on Tuesday. The guys were all courteous and cleaned up when their day was done. Our job was completed in two days. They had put a French Drain in downstairs, which took a lot of jack hammering of concrete all along the perimeter of the floor inside. Outside they took out all the old seal that was around the house and resealed that. All and all the job was completed in a timely manner and the guys worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. Our experience with Joe and his workers was a pleasant one, the end result is no more water in our basement. Our house is 60+ years old and if we run into any other situations with our home, as it is older, we would call Joe in a second.

I hired Joe Soster because I thought I needed to waterproof the brick-front of my home to fix a basement water ingress (through a crack in the wall). Knowing how some contractors can be (i.e., selling you services you don't need), I insisted that I knew exactly the root cause and I just needed a price quote from him. When he arrived, he asked me about my problem, wanted to see the crack in the basement (that I had already fixed with waterproof cement), and guessed that the water had not been coming in from the brick front. He went into my garage, knocked on the floor and put his ear to it, and told me he thought it was from the garage floor/slab! He was honest and said he couldn't guarantee it was definitely the floor but that he was pretty sure. He suggested putting an external drain around the garage to let rain water from a nearby gutter into this drain, and it would drain out several feet away from the home from an underground spout with an auto-opening lid. I went with his hunch, and when he dug at the edge of the garage he found a crack in the garage slab! He fixed it with hydraulic cement, and laid the drain. Ever since we've not had a single drop of water come into our basement...even during the heavy storms we've had this year. Unrelated to this, he also fixed my driveway because the blacktop had been very cracked. Joe, and his team, did an excellent job for me and I can't thank him enough. Honest guy, no BS, explains the problem and potential solutions, picks up his cell phone when you call or returns your voice mail, gave a detailed estimate by e-mail with drawings and measurements, showed up when he promised, and you won't feel pressured to buy his services. What more can a customer ask for?

The walls on both sides of my basement had deteriorated in many sections due to moisture and age. Joe Soster and his crew fixed the crumbling and cracked sections in a very professional and conscientious manner. They scraped and removed all the loose debris, applied a wash to kill the mold on those sections, applied fortified cement and then painted the walls with two coats of sealant. He used an Air Scrubber device to keep dust to a minimum and plastic covers to protect basement shelves and items. I got estimates from a handful of contractors and I felt that Mr. Soster’s professional manner and extremely reasonable prices stood out among the group. The work was completed a year ago in July 2103 and my basement walls have not had any issues. Since I could tell that Mr. Soster is truly interested in helping his clients maintain the structural integrity of their homes, I also hired him to fix the pointing on my chimney, remove problematic gutter guards, and put in a drainage pipe across my driveway. If I have other issues with my house, I know a trusted professional to call. I highly recommend Joe Soster and his crew.
