Very professional complete job done in inspection our current basement in regards to structure and waterproofing.

From first point of contact through completion, this team of professionals made me feel confident that they knew what they were doing and that I could expect a quality job. Andy, came out to survey, assess and provide the estimate, arranging the scheduled time for work, contract completion and payment processes were easy and straight forward. He was amazing with his explanations in layman's terms, his sense of humor, and pleasant attitude. What I like most about these gentlemen is there pleasant attitude, their respect for the customer and commitment to communicating throughout the process and to doing a quality job. The owner, Joe came out to look at the work to be performed the day before the job, and explained a better way to excavate the dirt and debris that that they would need to remove from my basement--a way that I for one never thought of--through the basement window. I had to pay a little more for a new basement glass block window--but it was well worth the minor additional cost as i now have more light in my basement and it's beautiful--who would ever think you could say that about a basement!. Before the WaterProofing One crew I was miserable with my basement, i couldn't store any items of value, it was always wet, or damp down there and I needed piece of mind from the threat of my foundation eventually crumbling, mold, mildew and and goodness knows what else from entering my home. After the Water Proofing One crew waterproofed and finished my basement, my daughter and I have been able to store our belongings in our basement with confidence that nothing will be ruined by any more water. We now have so much room in our closets and bedrooms with the items we've been able to put down in the basement. What a relief. They showed up on time and did a thorough and professional examination.

This goes under customer service. A "Technician" came out and looked over the problem and said it would be easy to fix. He said he was going on vacation and would get back to me when he returned. After 3 weeks we were never recontacted. We made 3 phone calls and left messages to be called back and were never given the courtesy of a return call after several days. It appears that the job was too small for them. Absolutely abysmal customer service.

Waterproofing One was wonderful! They responded quickly and appointment within a few days. Andy Gonzalez, who came out, took the time to call that he was going to be a little late because of traffic. He was knowledgeable, friendly and really knew his stuff! He showed us the problem and how to fix it! We did not need their services at this time, but if ever in the future we do it's Waterproofing One definitely ! Thanks Andy!!

Andy came out to our home because we were getting water in our basement from a window well that was filling up. He suggested that we install a window well tap/drain. The quote was provided the next day and less than a week later the job was performed. The workers were neat and friendly and showed up even earlier than I was told. Andy came by to make sure the job was going well. Andy and the company was nice and professional. I would definitely use them again and suggest them to others.

I bought a house last year and prior to buying it Waterproofing One did a fantastic job installing a French drain and sump pump with a battery backup unit in the basement. Everything was working fine until a few weeks ago when we had a few back to back storms with VERY heavy rain and the basement took on an inch or two of water. Since Waterproofing One did the original waterproofing work, I called them immediately. They were very responsive. Andy came over quickly to address the issue and showed a very real concern for the problem. He thoroughly explained the problem and said during the storms everything was working as designed and the pump was continuing to work even though it was under water but it could not keep up with the amount of water coming into the basement. He suggested a larger sump pit and an additional pump with a battery backup system which would pump the water outside the front of the house with a pop up at the end of the line to allow the water to discharge away from the house. Andy addressed all of my concerns and we scheduled the work to be done. Within a week the Waterproofing One team, who were very professional, organized, respectful and courteous got the job done quickly!! I would highly recommend Waterproofing One to anyone that needs a professional waterproofing company!

The whole experience was EXCELLENT! You could not ask for a more professional and helpful company. If the scale is 1 to 10 they are a 15! They were punctional, consistent, and tidy. They took time to answer every single one of my questions and I am a demanding customer. I need to know what's going on and why. They answered every single call or called back directly. They explained it in layman's terms so I could understand and what I didn't grasp Andy called explained to my husband. Andy, the foreman even took time out to explain and advise my husband on issues that he saw in the basement that was BEYOND the scope of his contract! What company takes time to do that?! My basement is now 100% not a drip of water even through these torrential downpours we've had in the Phila area lately.My floor is level and smooth. I'm a happy camper. ASK FOR ANDY TO OVERSEE YOUR JOB!

A few minor changes were requested, which they did for us. Such as punching more holes around a brick hearth and installing another row of bricks for us.

Joe quickly diagnosed the problem as hydrostatic pressure forcing water up through a seam in the concrete basement floor. To remedy the problem, he dug a trench system along the seam and connected it to the existing drainage system in the townhouse. In addition, he found that the existing sump pump was not performing effectively and replaced it. Finally, he diagnosed a problem in the exterior drainage system and fixed that. Joe was at times responsive and courteous. I recommend him as an experienced, honest and reasonably price contractor.

Three words define this team: ABOVE AND BEYOND! Joe, Andy and their team did an incredible job, and it began from the moment that Andy visited my home to provide a quote for my project when he gave me about a gallon of mold-killing enzyme to use immediately *regardless of whether I used his company or not.* The quote I received was not the lowest price, but it was by far the most complete quote and I felt that it was the highest value. In fact, the reason I chose not to go with the lowest quote was because Andy took the time to build the estimate to bring my finished basement back to the point where I could re-finish the room. The other providers would not or could not offer that level of service. This was a sizeable waterproofing project, and I had quotes from 5 Angie's List, A-rated providers. Through the process of comparison and elimination, I came down to Waterproofing One and one other provider. Joe answered all of my questions, he was patient with me as I made my decision and gathered my project financing, and his team delivered exactly what was promised *and more* to ensure that the job was done right. Upon discovering more mold in an area behind a bookshelf attached to a wall, they handled it, tearing down and rebuilding it. When they discovered possible water intrusion from drain spouts, they resolved the issue with additional drain line. When I had additional questions, Andy was quick to give me common sense answers in a way that I not only understood, but felt I could develop a strategy to handle the task. As a result of receiving as many quotes as I did, I was warned to watch out for inferior quality products. The material used for my drain system was top quality, exceeding my expectation. Because of a quirk in my home, a heavier duty silt guard was used, and the pipe was the quality pipe I was told should be used. The drywall replacement was done with "greenboard," a mold resistant product, and the encapsulation was a top-quality, name brand. The pump was upgraded to handle a greater water capacity with a buried expulsion line to a pop-up drain in the yard. The mold remediation was followed with an antimicrobial enzyme that kills mold spores. From start to finish, I was never concerned with the quality of materials. I was left with a clean, dry basement that was ready for light sanding and painting. I am confident that I can re-carpet the basement without the need to install a new raised subfloor because the basement is now waterproof.

Joe and his team were excellent. They arrived on time and were both professional and courteous. The covered everything up in the room and used an air scrubber to minimize any dust. Per my request they removed extra drywall than what was needed to ensure no mold damage. This was outside the scope of the original quote and Joe graciously worked with me on this and we agreed via a call after the job was finished that his team would provide me 2 sheets of drywall so that I could finish off the walls that were removed. The team was only gone an hour and my doorbell rang and they had the drywall there for me (it was very quick and helpful as I do not have a vehicle that is able to transport sheets of drywall). His team was also very appeasing to me and showed me the progress of the entire job and answered all my questions (interrupting their work for my own curiosity). I would definitely recommend Joe and his team for your waterproofing needs!

Joe is the owner and he came to my house, as scheduled, to assess my needs. He was friendly and really seemed to know what he was talking about. When I received other estimates, they didn't even provide a bid based on the size of the job, they simply applied their "minimum rate". Why even show up at my house for an estimate if the estimate is NOT based on the labor and supplies? Joe was very clear with me, his bid would be based on MY NEEDS. The bid was fair and I hired him. Once he received a 10% deposit, I was able to schedule the work. This was process was really quick and complete in 10 days. He provided a bid on a Thursday, I hired him the following Monday and sent him the deposit. They called me the following Friday to schedule the job. The job was scheduled for the following Monday. Again, 10 days from start to finish and it would have been faster if I would have moved faster. The work..3 guys showed up on time to complete the job. They put a drop cloth down to create a path from the door to the area of the basement were the work was located. They installed the French Drain system as discussed. They were clean during the job. And they cleaned up after themselves. Job well done. Would hire his company again.

They did come out and did the plan. They did a couple of estimates and I am waiting on another.

Joe was wonderful during the estimate/planning process. His team worked hard all day long and got through a 2 day job in one day. They were a little messy in hauling the dirt our of the basement - smudges on door frames - but generally did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. Most importantly they did a GREAT job controlling the construction dust. Highly recommend them and would use again.

Andy was very responsive and came over quickly to a**** the leak in my basement. We scheduled the work right away and his team were on time, professional and got the job done quickly. The carpentry team came in after to patch the drywall. They failed to replace the molding and bedroom door and when I let Andy know, he sent them back the very next day to put everything back and to do some touch ups that they weren't originally slated to do. I appreciated the fact that Andy wanted to make things right and did so immediately.

Went well, no problems with work, waited a couple of months before reviewing, basement is dry and dehumidifier no longer comes on.

As part of the Angie's deal, he made a full assessment of the basement, discussed the options, which were later reflected in the plan. The conversation and the follow up made me quite comfortable to continue working with Joe's firm on the next step - implementation of the plan. The team of two very hardworking guys showed up as we agreed, regardless the inclement weather; set up efficiently. They insisted on using their tarps and were right - they were super dirty at the end of the ordeal, I was quite happy I didn't have to clean this dirt off my floors. They worked tirelessly through the day, just imagine heavy 5 gal buckets full of mud and dirt being carried up the stair and the same buckets full of rocks being carried down... Even stayed somewhat later than expected initially so that the job could be finished in one day. Since the project has been completed, we no longer had any issues with our basement floor resembling a puddle, even through heavy rains and thaw. I'm so grateful for a quick and quality turn around, best money spent!

The initial contact was fast and Andy showed real concern for the urgency of our situation. They arrived quickly to help us with the water leakage. The workmen were wonderful about clean up and put up two barriers to keep any dust caused by the demolition from getting into the rest of the house. Overall I would say the work was five star. There is nothing better than using local contractors. Definitely a company I would call again.

Joe Soster the owner of "Waterproofing One" arrived as scheduled and after examining our basement carefully described what would be required to eliminate our basement flooding issues. We were impressed with the amount of time he spent with us and he clearly is an expert in this field. We scheduled the repair work and the crew arrived on time to install French drains and two sump pumps in our crawl space. The work was completed in four days and all areas were cleaned spotless removing all traces of mold. The ultimate test came this past weekend when the snow melted causing the pumps to run. The basement and crawl space stayed completely dry. In the past we would have been flooded with water.

I had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was excellent.He was very thorough in describing what he would do to solve our issues. He had lots of pictures of basements he had done. What he was going to do was more than we had planned on to make it look even better. They are talking about cleaning the whole thing, putting in a drainage system, putting in a sump pump, pressure washing it, and painting the wall. When he showed the picture of how it would look, it was just terrific. The quality looked like it would be very good.

It turned out good. The guy who came was very thorough and you could tell that he was in love with his job. He liked what he was doing, which was nice. I didn't get anything really done, but whatever he did do was good. He was responsive, but I guess he was super busy. I emailed him a couple of times because I hadn't heard back about the results of our test. It was not upsetting. He said he'll send it out, but it was a lot longer than I thought it would be. Maybe it was just me because I thought it was supposed to be a week, but it was really three weeks. He did say that he was busy, so I had to contact him like two or three times to actually find out the results. Once we got them, we got them and it was fine. I would probably not use him in the future because I found somebody else after them who was more my style.

After living in our house for just over five years and dealing with a persisting and escalating moisture and musty odor problem, we decided to investigate basement waterproofing companies. From the moment we first looked at the house to buy it and smelled the strong odor, we knew it had to be coming from the crawl space. Andy was the most thorough at looking into the area and discovered that what appeared to be an existing system in place was actually all staging: the mirror drain sat against the wall and fell over with the slightest touch; their was no french drain installed; the pump was old and dying; the hose to pump water out was frozen in some places and filled with water in others. Other than a very minor scheduling mixup that brought them in a day early (who's to complain about that), everything went well from the initial site inspection to estimating to getting the work going. After several days of digging out the trench, laying the pipe and covering, putting down new stones and sump pit with new pump and new lines going outside, they finished off by sandblasting mold spores and painting over them with mold paint, then white capping the entire crawl space. A nice job overall!

Joe was very honest and easy to talk to through the whole process. For such a dirty job the guys were VERY clean and respectful of our house and made sure that they cleaned up all traces of dirt once they were done. Everything is installed as promised without any suprises or extra costs. The workers were very nice and respectful.

Joe and his team did an excellent job. We had mold and water in our crawl space. They dug a french drain, placed a new sump pump and cleaned the mold and then "sprayed. Also looks like they "painted the walls" - which I believe is a mold barrier. I cannot believe how dry the crawl space is - the humid damp moldy smell is completely gone. Andy explained everything that the guys were doing and why they were doing it. Contractors were polite and courteous and very nice to my dog - who was berserk while they were here. Super easy guys to work with - they were on time and cleaned up at the end of each day!! We are so happy with the results.
