Joe and his team waterproofed our entire basement. The job was made more difficult considering the heavy snow we've had all winter. Joe's team dealt with the situation with ease, digging a path through the deep snow so they could carry bucket after bucket of concrete rubble from the back basement door out to their truck without having to walk through our house. Joe and his team were always respectful and courteous. They left our basement in immaculate condition and we have not seen any signs of moisture since the work was done. Thanks Joe!

Joe's team did an amazing job and performed all work in a very professional and timely manner. Four months after the pressure relief system and gravity fed drainage system were both installed, our basement has been completely water free, even after 5 snow storms, an ice storm and driving rain. Gravity fed system was an extremely creative solution that no other contractor offered. We recommend Joe and his team without hesitation. If you have flooding, water intrusion or possible mold issues, Joe is your man.

I called Joe and he came to our house to assess our basement, take measurements, show us examples of prior work and tell us about his work experiences and how he could transform our basement into livable space. He make suggestions and recommendations that were best for our space and family. He then provided us with a detailed quote and proposal with prices that were half the price of the competition. Also, the estimated work time to complete the job was significantly less that what I ever would have expected. Joe and his team completed the entire job in only four working days. They worked efficiently and effectively and were always polite and helpful. The team worked hard and were on-time. They were very conscientious of keeping the rest of our home safe and clean so they placed a large clear plastic cover from floor to ceiling to block off part of the kitchen where they would be going to and from the basement. We were comfortable and didn't think twice leaving our home while they did their work. Joe would call us if he had questions or wanted to discuss what they were doing while we weren't home. He gave us progress updates daily as to where the job stood. He gave us his recommendations and always asked for our input. He answered our concerns and questions and explained all details and processes very well. From the time we met Joe during the proposal process, we knew he had our best interests in mind. He was looking out for us and wanted to fix our basement in the best possible way for our family and budget. I had a sever problem with mold in my basement. Joe Soster of Waterproofing One after an in depth inspection, described the problem in detail. I was unaware that the small amount of water leaking into my basement over time would create so much a problem with mold. He and his men started the working on the job the very next week. They worked very hard to disinfect the basement and remove all the mold infested articles that we had stored there. He was able to save the things we wanted and did a throw job of disinfecting those articles . By the time he finished the job a 30 yard dumpster was filled. He then coated the walls with a waterproof coating to prevent future damage. We highly recommend Joe and his company.

I have to say Joseph is the best contractor I have hired from Angie's List, he is very professional, he explains everything to you and discuss the solution with you. He is very patient and make sure you 100% understand how his solution can solve your problem. Joseph and his people also works very hard and they have to pay huge effort to handle the non-stopping water in my egress well and finally all the water in my egress window can be routed to the drain system inside my house. You will never regret to hire Joseph to solve your basement issues.

Joe was extremely professional and pleasant to work with. He was willing to work with my schedule, and was there right on time qwhen he said he would be. The work was done to a high standard, and his crew worked very quickly and efficiently. I am amazed at how fast they were able to finish the work, and how clean my house was when they finished. Our system has been in place for close to two months, and I have had not one drop of water in the basement since, despite torrential rains and heavy snow. He did exactly what he said he would, at a price that could not be beat by any competitors. I would highly reccomend his services to anyone in need of basement waterproofing. We contacted Joseph Soster to install a drain system in our crawl space after we spoke with neighbors who had a similar system installed by him. Let me first say that this is brutally difficult work. Joe and his crew worked in a cramped crawl space with jack hammers for an entire day before they installed a french drain-style drain and a new sump pump system. Joe and his crew were prompt, friendly and are some of the hardest working people I have ever met. The work was done quickly and neatly. Tarps were placed down, an air filter system was used for the dust, and my home was left immaculately clean. The staff even cleaned my garage floor and tables and driveway. Joe was very helpful with tips and suggestions. His estimate was exactly what he charged. There was no up-selling or surprises. He used high quality materials, and he was easy to work with.

The contractor and crew showed up on time. The job was done efficiently and very clean. They were respectful of my property and left things cleaner than they were to begin with, they went above and beyond the job contract. I was so impressed by how decent they were, I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Joe Soster is a fine contractor. He came out to the house three times to make sure he had all of the information before he started the job. Fortunately, he's not a big man because the crawl space is tight and he and his crew had a lot of work to do down there. This involved jack hammering a new trench, removing two tons of material, etc. The exterior work was also complicated because of underground electrical and irrigation systems. Joe installed zip walls in the house to keep the dust and any mold spores contained and his crew was very careful to keep the house clean. There are too many details to list in this review, but suffice it to say that the steps Joe took to properly remove the mold, clean the cinderblock, and install a new drain in the crawl space were precisely what I expected to get from him. The patching of the driveway, despite cold November temperatures also turned out great. When he was finished I had no problem agreeing to pay slightly more than our contracted amount because I was confident that the hours that went into this job far exceeded what he had planned given our basement had more issues than he could have been expected to know about in advance. I won't post pictures, but Joe has plenty of pictures of jobs he has done in the past.

Good work, 3 day job turned into 5 day job due to unforeseen issues with rip out of entire basement. Joe was not there himself for entire job but a foreman & team for most part. The spanish speaking gentleman all extremely nice to deal with & understood my english well enough to know what I was asking when I would stop in to see progress. Some issues along the way that I left to my husband & Joe to deal with instead of me. I give B jut cause the cost ket going up & at some points I thought I would never see the end of the job (bid started at under 5k then upon finish over 7k). Also they said they would leave mold remover for the salvageable items we could keep but nothing left. Also trash that was to be taken with them as agreed on with husband did not get taken out. My husband would give an A but I really would ave liked the mold cleaner for the items we could keep.

Both times we hired Joe, we were extremely pleased. I would recommend him for waterproofing and mold remediation with absolutely no hesitation. Joe guarantees his work and I felt very comfortable when we were in the house knowing that any and all mold was gone and no more water was coming in.

It went very well. The crew worked hard in very hot weather, got the job done quickly, and we are very satisfied with our now-dry garage.
