The service we received from Zen windows was superb!! From the initial consultation with Mak to the installation of the windows with Dave and his team; everything ran smoothly. Customer service was spot on. The owner, as well as the installation team were very personable and a pleasure to work with. They did a great job on the windows. We have already recommended them to a friend who will be moving into a new home this year.

The replacement door was special ordered and was in stock within 2 weeks The door was installed less than a week later. The installation was done by Zens own install team and was professionally done! I would definitely recommend this company!!

I contacted Zen for a quote to replace the windows on our rental home. Almost immediately I was contacted by the owner Mac to get more details about the project. Once I provided him with details and rough measurements I was given a quote. The quote was fair and reasonable and slightly lower than the other quotes I had received. I worked with Dave to get official measurements and order the windows. They came in faster than promised and installation was scheduled right away. Dave was wonderful to work with, he was friendly and pleasant and very informative about the process and what he was doing. He was meticulous in his work and got the job done efficiently and left no mess. The entire process was seamless. There were no surprises, no hidden costs, no extras or upselling. The windows look great, they are exactly as promised, they were installed more quickly than I expected and the price was fair and competitive. Other contractors working on the house have even commented on what a good job Dave and Zen did on the windows. I highly recommend them and will be using them for our next window project.

The experience was excellent. From Mak's responsiveness throughout the entire process to Dave's measurement and installation, I couldn't have asked for more. They were informative, honest, efficient, and friendly. They really want to ensure their customers are happy and they have succeeded. I would absolutely recommend to family and friends.

Quick w/ estimate. Updates on status of order. Were able to do it on a Saturday morning. Scheduled for 8 AM and showed up ready to go at 7:45. Pleasant and professional. done by 9 AM. we have dogs and they excercised great care not to let them get out when moving the windows and equipment into and out of our home. good clean up after service. follow up call to insure satisfaction w/ the work.

I called Zen Windows and spoke to Mak Sato. He was very professional. He asked me to send him the measurements and pictures, if possible. I did both immediately and had a quote the same day. He sent product and company information via email. This was very helpful in making my decision. I was hoping to have the installation done prior to an event less than three weeks away. He did not guarantee this in any way. I thought this was fair and honest. I placed the door order the following business day and much to my delight the door came in and the installation was completed earlier than expected. I am very happy with the quality of the door, the look, the professionalism of the installers, and the level of customer service I received. I will refer Zen to friends and would certainly hire again.

Through Angie's list I sent out information to three contractors about window replacement. Mak Sato was the first one to reply. I asked him different questions and he responded right away. He sent me a copy of his insurance via the internet. He did this before we even set up an appointment date because I asked if he had insurance. He went online to view the type of windows I had and I sent him pictures of the windows from the inside of the house. I really was impressed how he quickly got back to you when you had a question or concern. He was extremely professional when I informed him that I was going to use another contractor. He didn't try to ask why I didn't choose his company. My one concern was that he gave an estimate by picture sight only. This estimate could increase once the person came out to measure the windows. I thought it would be much better for the installer to come to the house to see the windows and give a presentation about the kinds of windows to pick. The other two contractors who came to my house did an excellent presentation and you actually saw the windows to be installed. Also his price was higher than the other two contractors.

The whole process was the best I ever had dealing with a contractor, from the start Mak Sato was very professional and with absolutely No pressure actually restoring my faith in dealing with a contractor. The estimate was fast in fact all of my phone calls and emails had been answered in record time. The HOA requested Documents and sizes and Mak emailed them to me within a day making the process run smoothly. Mak's installers arrived on time and went right to work setting up tarps and keeping the mess to a minimum They worked steady with attention to detail. Thank you Dave,Tony,Ray and John!!!!! A most impressive aspect of this company is the excellent communication of Mak, who follows up every single aspect of the contract. he came by to see how things were going on the day of installation, and called back the day after and once more to see if everything was fine with the new windows. Overall a very positive experience!

They arrived a few minutes early, brought in their tools and the windows and got straight to work. It was a bitterly cold day, and they were quick, efficient and thorough. I live in an old South Philly rowhouse, so there were some problems getting to a few of the windows and some others were out of plumb. They were very careful to adjust each window so it fit snugly and securely. Two weeks ago my bedroom was so cold I was sleeping in the guest room, now it is warm. There are no sales people who come out to the house. I contacted them through Angie's List, a catalog was sent out immediately and there are YouTube videos that describe in detail each one of their window styles. Once I decided to purchase the replacement windows from them, an appointment was set up and Dave came out to measure each frame. There was no deposit - you pay when the work is completed to your satisfaction. Mak the owner called me later to see how everything went and emailed a week later to make sure I wa satisfied with the work. Dave saved me some money by not replacing the capping; he said it was in good shape and there was no need for that work to be done. He called in to report this so the cost could be deducted from my bill. It was a very pleasant experience all around and I highly recommend them.

Mak Sato and his associates returned my email even though it was sent late on a Friday night. He was very responsive and considerate during this whole process. He gave me a general quote over through the email and then came out personally to measure my door. The price of the door and installation was the best of 5 businesses that I checked. When informed that I lived in a housing association he was able to provide me with an alternative door that would meet by HOA rules. His men were professional, on time, and considerate. The door looks GREAT, works GREAT, and has some wonderful security features that I was not aware came with the door. His installer took the time to explain all of these features and how the door worked prior to leaving. They cleaned up their mess and took the old door with them. Plan to use him for my next patio door installation sometime next year. Overall great customer service and professionalism (something you don't see nowadays but should). A++++++

Arrived on time, very professional and helpful, finish carpentry was excellent, work was done efficiently but without sacrificing quality...everything looks great and the windows help enormously with keeping the house at an even temperature. Our front bedroom, which faces north, had been really cold and drafty (old windows were terrible) and now it's drastically improved. They spent as much time as they needed to do the job right. They even came out on a Sunday to finish the capping so everything would be done before Thanksgiving. Company owner is terrific, very empathetic and always returns calls/emails quickly...no hard sell, which I really appreciate, after I sat through many long sales pitches from other companies. They do whatever it takes to make the customer happy.

Mak is extremely responsive and offers multiple ways to contact him - phone, email, text, angies list! With all those ways he never missed a beat. I enjoyed that I could just send him pictures via text and he sent me an estimate. The windows look great compared with the junk we previously had. The windows look great inside and outside! They used spray foam, molding and then caulk. On the outside they made a j channel to divert the water. The guys who did the job were very willing to answer my extensive number of questions, as was Mak. Would have been nice to have more drop cloths over the hard wood and down the hallway since one of the old windows was wet and leaked dirt on the floor and carpet. They took the old windows and took all the trash with them. They kindly endured my attempt at coffee (it was snowing when they put in the windows). We will definitely use them again when we get more windows replaced! It has been a two year process researching contractors and window types. We wanted a hi mark window, but the softlite triple pane that we received was highly rated at the same level as the hi mark with the windows forum posters.

This company does not come out with windows and give you a hard sell like so many. You are emailed a brochure and choose from that. Mak answers any questions that you may have. The installer comes out to measure, and all windows are custom made. Once the windows are in, they will be installed within a few days. We noticed a difference immediately. We had not yet turned the heat on, and our room was 5 degrees warmer than it had been previously in the early morning. There was an issue with one window. Once the caulking dried, and I cleaned them, inside and out, I noticed that it didn't move smoothly and seemed not to be closing properly. Mac had Dave come out the following day to resolve this issue. We couldn't be happier with the windows. I would absolutely use this company again.

My 10 windows were just installed and I hope this review expresses my sincere appreciation for the outstanding work that was done. From start to finish Mak, Dave, Tony, Matt and Dave were an amazing team of professionals that not only want to complete a superior job but also take pride in their profession. Because i live in a condo community, I needed more information from Mak than just providing a quote. Mak provided all the appropriate information I needed, thereby making the process from quote to installation seamless. Dave and his crew paid attention to every detail during the installation and clean up. I'm looking forward to a warm and bright winter. Thank you guys!

We were very happy about every aspect of our experience with Zen Windows. Owner Mak Sato provided on the phone, in person, and digitally all the information we needed to make good product choices. We had a quote within minutes of our initial phone conversation. Installation happened within the timeframe of Mak's original estimate. Installer Dave and his team's installation work was quick, clean up was thorough. Everything looked and worked great. We highly recommend Zen.

My experience with Zen Windows was incredibly positive! Mak was incredibly responsive during the entire process. I originally contacted him after seeing a deal on Angie's list, and we agreed to a price per window after only a few minutes on the phone. From there on out, communication was mainly through e-mail as that was what was best for me, and he was incredibly responsive, often responding to e-mails well beyond close of business and well before most people are at work. I made an appointment with his installer, Dave, who was early when he came to measure the windows. Windows took about two weeks to build and ship, after which we scheduled a date for installation. Dave showed up a few minutes early for the installation appointment with his crew, plus a few extra hired hands; a total of nine guys to install over 20 windows. The entire project, including clean-up, started around 7 AM and finished roughly at 3 PM, and while that is incredibly fast, the quality of the installation was top notch! The triple-pane windows are incredibly efficient, quiet, and basically everything they claim in their youtube video (yes, they have a youtube video for each of their window lines). Colleagues at work were complaining during the recent dip in temperature outside of their homes being cold and needing to run their heater, while we had yet to turn ours on because the temp inside the house barely dipped. The price was also incredible, to the point where we had originally planned to replace only a handful of windows, but ended up replacing every window in the house because we knew we'd never see a price like that again. This really was one of those situations where everything sounds too good to be true, but turns out to actually be true. Both Mak and Dave are top-notch and professional every step of the way, and the entire experience was fantastic!

Zen Windows did a great job. They were extremely professional and friendly in all aspects of the job, from the measuring, quote and installation. I highly recommend them and wold absolutely look no where else myself for window installation.

Great experience from start to finish. I purchased a sliding patio door 'deal' listed on AngiesList that came with a warranty. The sliding door is excellent in quality. It opens and closes so smoothly. You can feel the quality of the door. The screen is so clear that the view to the outside appears as if the screen door was open. My dogs kept walking into the screen door the first couple of days after it was installed. Dave the installer and his team arrived on time and went right to work and then cleaned up afterward. I had concerns about drafts and talked to both Mak(owner) and Dave about sealing the frame. Dave and his team did a great job. I don't feel any drafts. Dave seamed the patio door, molding and framing so beautiflully it's hard to tell where the patio door and molding meet. Zen Windows is a Grade A company.

It went very well. Mak was the proprietor was very nice, very honest and very easy to deal with. They had a crew along with Dave, the foreman. They were all very nice and professional. They came in quickly and put it in and also gave me many options. It was very easy and very well done. There was not a lot of money pressure or anything like that either. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mak was incredibly responsive - he provided prompt responses to all questions and requests for information (and I asked a lot!). Although their business model is based on ease of getting a quote (typically limited to phone/email/web form), Mak took the time to come to our house to ensure that he got the details correct. In the end, we chose another contractor who offered slightly better windows at a slightly higher price. It was a very tough choice and I'm sure that, based on Mak's professionalism and responsiveness, Zen would have done a great job if I had selected them.

The installers arrived on time, Dave- and his two coworkers work very well together. They were courteous, professional and well mannered. They removed my old sliding door with great efficiency and installed the new one (which looks great) in no time. They cleaned up after themselves and put new capping and caulk around the new door. All work met or exceeded my expectations. All features of the new door were explained. My wife and I are very happy and most certainly will use Zen window company again and would recommend them.

This is the second time I am doing this review - don't know what happened to first one??? I could spend half the night praising the team from Zen. The job was a bit more difficult as Dave predicted and the guys went way out of their way to do a superior job. The arrived right on time and went right to work. I was also very impressed about how clean they kept my place again over the top. This is a firm that is definitely going places. If you need new doors or windows do yourself a favor and hire the best, Zen. And I found them to be quite reasonable. I would definitely hire them again.

You know this Angie's list is one of the best things that ever happened to consumers. The three gentlemen (and I mean gentlemen) came promptly on time and began work, I really should have had a custom door but these guys were determined to make it work with what they were given, They had to take out a lot of the frame and rebuild it so the door would fit. They did tell me when I contracted with them that I would be best with a custom door and with Dave we decided he could make it work. And so they did!! They were so careful of keeping my living room clean during and after installation. I can not say enough good stuff about these guys and the installation. The end result is just magnificent and changes the whole vibe of my living room. They took extra care to caulk every where a seam might show. And as they were sawing to make it fit they held a vacuum right by the saw to keep the dust down. I would strongly encourage anyone looking for windows and doors to look no further - Zen Windows will not only give you quality work as a reasonable price but they will do so with such positive attitudes and care for your home. Needless to say, I would most definitely use them again - a A+++ job.

The foreman Dave was very experienced and got the job done quickly, while paying attention to fine detail. The installers were respectful and cleaned up behind themselves.
