The whole process went very well. Zen was very responsive and professional during all phases. The windows look great, and the exterior trimwork is especially clean. After the one day install, minor issues were addressed promptly and correctly the following day.

Each morning, the installers arrived on time, explained every step of their process, and promptly notified us whenever any complications arose. In our case, the replacement windows were thinner than the original windows, and our nameless builder neglected to install house wrap, which explained the significant drafts that we had been experiencing in our home. Zen’s craftsmen installed Tyvek home wrap to stop the drafts, installed J channels on all windows to divert water, and created interior windowsills for all twelve windows without giving us an additional fiscal nightmare. In the end, total increase in costs was less than 15 percent. As a consumer, it was refreshing to deal with them, and we look forward to purchasing from them in the future.

Mak and his crew did a great job in the replacement of our 16 windows. It took less than 30 days from the time we placed our order. It took only a day to remove the old windows and replace with the new windows. The quoting process was even easier. I just recommended Zen Windows and Mak to my neighbor.

Super professional, prompt and financially reasonable. As close to "set it and forget it" as you can probably get when one is shopping for windows. Mak, the owner, is super polite appreciative. We've still got some more windows to replace and will definitely give Zen a call.

Great experience--- from receiving the online quote within 30 minutes--- to Rory accommodating my schedule to meet me at lunchtime to do measurements (took about 8 minutes)--- to the morning of installation! Again, accommodating my schedule, they agreed to come on a Saturday morning. It was one of those 95 degree, 95 percent humidity days in July 2016. They arrived early! Rory and his associate were here for about 4 1/2 hours and they were done! They worked so hard and never stopped moving. Clean-up was meticulous. Mac came by to be sure all was well. Windows are beautiful !

The entire process went extremely smooth. Mak patiently entertained several days of questions and after I agreed he personally came out to measure for the replacement windows. The new windows arrived and in less than 3 weeks and the installation was scheduled for a few days later. The installers were very knowledgeable and friendly and did a fantastic job. Surprisingly the entire job took a single afternoon. These windows are actually made by Soft-Lite and are very high quality. It's been almost 2 months since they were installed and we are extremely happy we chose Zen. His price was lower than all the competitors for the same windows, and he was able to get them installed in less than half the time I was quoted by other window companies. I've had several large jobs done on my house over the years and this was by far the best experience out of all of them.

Mak was a pleasure to work with, low key, pleasant and professional. My wife and I changed our minds concerning the types of windows we wanted multiple times but Mak was always understanding and quick to reply. He itemized all the work and there were no slip-ups the day of install

initially Max was very easy to work with on the project. The estimate that he gave was fair and the quality of the door that he chose was excellent. The follow up e-mails and scheduling were a breeze.The crew arrived exactly on time. They were extremely least and professional. The work was completed in a timely manner and the would not leave until it was perfect and I was happy with the job. The cleaned up after and left the room and the outside in perfect order. It was a wonderful experience all around! Mak came over to measure, because I was not comfortable doing it myself, and i also wanted to understand the range of options possible and get ideas. He cleverly suggested a style I hadn't considered, and he was absolutely right--it was far superior to my original ideas--and happened to be cheaper. The work crew was large and efficient and tidy. The windows are beautiful. I am so glad I finally did it.

The quote stood up over time with no hidden extras tacked on during follow through to completion. 2. Their easy to follow procedure for installation is simple and direct. Maybe 4 or 5 weeks to cover the plan once a contract is done. There are no annoying window SALESMEN to show up at your home to spend 3 hours offering a "today only" special discount if you sign up right away. What a relief!! MAK SATO of ZEN is available to visit to provide an honest and complete demo via product samples. No hype, no pressure, no BS. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him over this time. MAK is a good guy and I highly recommend dealing with him. 3. The window pricing was outstanding for the incredible quality of the window/installation package we received. The installers were highly skilled and professional, too. I've been through one winter now and I can report 2 thumbs up for the actual window performance--no outside air drafts in particular--even on very windy days. Several years before, I purchased fiberglass windows from a recognized NAME BRAND WINDOW COMPANY at a cost about 30% higher than ZEN. Flat out, the wintertime air leakage reflects a much, much poorer quality choice than the ZEN. Installation was also so so. WE WERE NOT AT ALL HAPPY. The ZEN OPTION IS AND REMAINS WAY BETTER!! The lesson here is pretty obvious. Finally, we will be buying additional windows from MAK in 2016. That speaks for itself!!

Truly a great experience from start to finish."Window shopping" is always a nightmare especially with the sales person coming onsite and explaining the virtues of the product they are selling. With Zen Windows, the process of getting a quote was seamless and over the phone. Mak was knowledgable about the area, looked up the property online and provided a quote promptly for the various options. No overselling and absolutely no pressure tactics - refreshing change from some of the other Window companies i had dealt with in the past. Once i signed off on the quote, a date was set for the measurements and the subsequent installation. Installation was exceptional. The workforce showed up on time, extremely friendly and professional. The 17 windows were replaced in less than half a day, and the clean up was exceptional. Had a problem with the locks on 2 of them, and Mak replaced both of them promptly. Will be using them for my townhome property in NJ, and would highly recommend Zen Windows for your window replacement project.

Zen Windows was incredibly responsive from the first time I contacted them all of the way through and after the project. Mak provided me with a quote within minutes of contacting him and worked with me on the different options available for different windows. He could not have been more helpful. I called the company and spoke to Mak. He asked for the measurement of my windows. I felt uncomfortable providing the measurements and asked if he could come over to measure the windows. He said that would be no problem. He bought over samples of the windows/frames. He described the materials that would be used, its effectiveness, and the process of the installation. He answered all of my question to my satisfaction. Mak told me that that the windows would be in between three to four weeks. There was no down payment at all! Payment was made after the work was completed. Three weeks later, my windows. The installers were Dave and Jason - great guys. They were friendly, approachable and very professional. They took the time to explain the process and answered all my questions. When one window was installed, Dave asked me to take a look to see if I was happy with the window before he proceed with the caulking. I was very impressed that he asked to view the window before completing the process. I had a wonderful experience with Zen Windows from the beginning to the end.

In a very few words, extraordinarily well. From start to finish the experience with Mak and Zen Windows was better that I could have expected. First and foremost I spent a great deal of time researching windows and window replacement. I received 2 quotes for name-brand Pella windows. One of the two seemed reasonable for the cost of the windows while the labor cost seemed outrageous. The second from a different provider for the same product and quantity was 20% higher than the first quote, from a big box store. The "big box store" installer showed up and didn't even go through our house to check my measurements. He may be good at what he does but he could have fooled me from that experience. The second bidder, from a Pella store, called to say he can't make the appointment but said to expect his price to be about 20% higher than the other quote. I found Mak and Zen Windows on Angie's List. I researched the brand to no end. I contacted Mak on line, provided window count and measurements, and heard back from him, with an estimate, within minutes. We made an appointment for him to come to our house with samples. He arrived on scheduled and showed us his products. I could immediately tell these were high quality windows, which confirmed what I learned through research. We agreed to proceed. A week later, at our convenience, his installer Rory, came to the house to review the whole project and measure all of the 25 windows that were to be replaced. The estimate held to the penny and we proceeded with an order. Within 4 weeks the windows along with Rory and his team of installers arrived. They started promptly and completed all the work within an hour of Rory's expected finish team. Every member of the team, 7 of them, were pleasant, polite, and very skilled at their jobs. Our house was left as clean as they found it, inside and out. Mak was on site too and made sure that we were pleased every step of the way. There were a couple of small issues that needed follow and Mak was right on top of them. Since the installation of the windows we have had a few warm days, cold days, and very windy days. The windows, Zen Lotus Triple Pane, have made a huge difference. The house feels totally different. No drafts and much more quieter from outside noise. The house feels like it's properly sealed now. In the end we got the high quality windows we wanted, a pleasurable installation experience, and all at a cost that was MANY thousands of dollars below what others quoted. I highly recommend Mak and Zen Windows.

Zen Windows is a very professional organization with a terrific sense of customer service. Everyone at the company was a pleasure to deal with. Mak came to take a look at our house and take measurements. When I asked about replacing some custom wood windows, he was very professional and indicated that his windows would likely not work for that purpose. I appreciate when contractors are honest about what they can and can't do for the benefit of the customer. When we decided to go with Zen Windows, the process went as smoothly as it could go. Mak set up the installation date 3 weeks after we ordered the windows. His team -- Dave and Brian -- arrived on time and were very courteous and friendly. They got to work quickly and offered suggestions on capping the windows. The team also made a last minute adjustment to the look of the side by side windows to make it fit with the look of the house and my requests. There were an incredibly accommodating team and a pleasure to have at my house for 2 days. The windows look fantastic. We were very happy we chose Zen Windows. I would absolutely recommend them.

Zen Windows was great! Competitive pricing, great communication, and expert professional instillation. As a first time homeowner, Zen Windows is exactly how I imagined purchasing windows and I was delighted to interact with Mak and his team after being disgusted by the way other window companies were trying to sell me. Zen Windows' online process is a very non-invasive, nontraditional salesman type of business model, which is a huge relief as a lot of other companies use high pressure sales tactics. After getting several other estimates from a mix of companies Zen Windows was right in the middle of 3 well rated companies and after level setting with Mak, to ensure we were comparing apples to apples, my wife and I felt really comfortable contracting with them. I was able to look through all the window and door options online and Mak even dropped off some pamphlets as well. They were able to accommodate to my schedule for the instillation dates and after the two days of instillation, everything was perfect. Out with the old original windows (40+ years old) and in with the new pristine, well insulated windows. They pulled one of my existing windows and install a 5' sliding glass door, which makes a great deal of difference in brightening up my home. The crew that did the instillation (Dave and Brian) were professional, hard working, and easy going guys. Exactly the type of contractors I want to bring into my home. Dave even stayed late the one day as I ran to get my kids and to swap out some door parts from Home Depot (as they failed to include all the parts in the box for the door). All in all this was the best experience I could have hoped for and would certainly recommend Zen Windows to anyone and everyone. Especially if you are looking for a more relaxed way to buying windows than those high pressure sales companies. A lot of our interaction was through email and phone calls and as a busy family, my wife and I really appreciated this style. I would like to add something else I noticed, Mak never once asked who the competition was and never tried to bad mouth or "shed light" on any of the local companies. Which I can not say the same about any of the other companies I received estimates from. If I ever need windows on this house or my next Zen Windows will be my first call.

Was seeking estimate to replace 20+ windows. Its a big job at my house and while I did get a prompt response and it was professional, it was unlike any estimate for any service I have received before. I received a price sight unseen of $795 per window. This was based on a web submission form that I believe did not include the size of the window, just the style. In my case, double hung. Instead of coming to the house and looking at the project, giving an estimate, he wanted me to give all the measurements. I've never installed a window so I'm not sure do you measure from the inside of the window, the area including the wood, not sure. If I mess up the measurement, I'm surely stuck with the windows. Its almost like he didn't want the job. I'm not keen on hiring someone over the internet without meeting them. Perhaps Zen is so busy that this is what they must do to deal with the volume. Not for me. In the words of the sharks on Shark Tank, "I'm out."

After researching different companies to replace two windows that were not standard sized. We chose Zen Windows who had the type of product I wanted and the price was right. The experience with Zen was great and went smoothly as they described in their ads. I placed a call to the owner, described what I wanted, I got a quote over the phone and then scheduled Dave the installer to come and take measurements. Soon after, I was informed when the item will be order and an approximate date they would receive it. Once we got past when the windows would be installed, the project continued smoothly. The guys showed up at the time they stated and installed the windows without any issues. They cleaned up after themselves and payment was promptly made upon completion. The best part was no payment until services were completed to satisfaction.

After narrowing our options for window replacement to two companies, we decided we didn't like either--for reasons that included the pushy sales strategy of each, a lack of responsiveness on important issues for us, and messing around with the numbers in a way that seems a little questionable. We scrambled and found Zen Windows on Angie's. Mak answered the phone even as he was settling in on his first day of vacation. I sent him my own measurements and he gave me a quick ballpark price before sending Dave out to measure. After a final quote and a look at the materials, we were sold that Zen was our choice. The install was done by Dave and John, a rock star team who had the largest window ripped out within 10 minutes of pulling into our driveway. They worked quick, relatively quiet, and left little mess...and our new windows have transformed our house. Great job all around!

I was VERY pleased with both the service I received and the actual product. Everyone at Zen Windows was very professional, from Denise whom I first spoke with and from whom I ordered the windows to John the installer to Mak who reached out to me after the installation to ensure I was satisfied. Dave, my primary contact throughout this process, was especially amazing. Very personable, thorough and accomodating - an absolute pleasure to work with. When he came to measure for the windows, we noticed some small open holes from the basement to the outside (perfect for crickets and the like). We had a good laugh about him not letting me use my can of spray foam to go on my own amateur campaign to seal everything up. Instead, he ensured that his team took care of that for me in a professional manner. This was not a necessary part of the window installation but one of those little "extras" that makes this company stand out. And the windows look amazing! I would definitely use this company again.

Mak from Zen responded to my emails right away and he and the installer were both very good communicators. Dave, the installer, was pleasant and cleaned up after the job really well. Other than the new windows, there was no no dirt or debris either inside or outside.

With a new baby on the way, I needed high quality windows to replace existing older windows that did not perform well.
