They were very quick. They came the next day and picked up the carpet. Everything went smoothly and we are happy with them. If there is a need, we would use them again in the future too.

Overall it was great. They did a good job. The cleaning is well done. The work looks very fine. They were very prompt. They also gave clear choices about what could be done describing the kind of work that could be done. They communicated via e-mail as well as phone. They are expensive.

I took advantage of Angie's List Big Deal for area rug cleaning by Zakian. I have a wool 10x14 area rug that can be expensive to clean and just a pain to remove from the house. However, the Angie's List deal of $252 for that rug was just too good to pass up, especially since reviews already seemed to indicate that they do a good job. I was not disappointed one bit. By the time I called to schedule the appointment I also decided to have them do the 4 x 6 area rug since they were coming anyway. I called for an appointment and they were able to fit me in the following week. I had to make sure the rugs were rolled and ready for pick up. I called first thing in the mornng of my pick up day to get a time for their arrival later in the day. The pick up team arrived in the middle of my pick up window. The rugs were scheduled to be returned one week later. 24 hours after the pick up I received a call to go over some of the damage and cleaning issues with the rugs. None was difficult to do and the rugs could be returned on the day promised. Again, a call in the morning confirmed the delivery window. The rugs came back tied up in the middle of the window. When they were unrolled, they looked gorgeous (as if they were just new). There was no serious damage to the rugs, so they got a good cleaning, including the fringe which had turned a dirty shade of gray over the years. The fringe was now white once again. My husband's desk and office chair with wheels had crushed the one end of the rug. When it was unrolled you couldn't even tell which end had taken all the abuse. The pile was all restored. After the rugs had been put back, I began to feel a little guilty about getting such a great price for all that work. However, now that I know they do great work and have great service I wouldn't hesitate to use them at full price since I now know that it will be worth every penny.

When I was painting my living room, my cat urinated on my rolled up oriental, naturally, I had it sent out for cleaning. I usually send my carpets to Dobbins but apparently Dobbins is now owned by Zakian. The website said to put tape on the places that have stains, which I did. There was a snowstorm that day and the man who arrived to pick up the rug said he was the rug cleaner and not the driver because the drivers didn't come in because of the weather. He tried to talk me into getting new fringe put on which I refused. He made me take the tape off because he said they would just take it off when they cleaned it. (hmm, what's the point of the instructions on the website then?) He was very nice. About a week later, I get a phone call from my roommate who says that they were at the door when she left to deliver my rug and wanted a check from her. She was leaving for work and told them she didn't know anything about it. I called to ask why they delivered the rug without contacting me. The man I talked to was very rude and insisted he had called me. My phone has an answering machine and also records every number that calls and I have no record of any phone call. He said to me, "The lady was there and wouldn't pay us." He seemed intensely aggravated with me. I replied, "It's not her house or her rug, so why would she?" I asked him to keep it for a few weeks as I was still renovating. He reluctantly agreed. I called a few weeks later and asked them to store it for a month. The lady I talked to was also very rude. She asked me how big the rug was. I told her I didn't know, I guess it's 10 x 14. She got off the phone and when she returned she said really snottily, no, your rug is only 8 x 10, like I was trying to impress her or something and she caught me. It was ridiculous! I asked her to send me a bill so I would have a check ready for them. I had to ask twice because she didn't seem to understand me. They sent the bill. Finally I called in March to have the rug delivered and they added another month's storage to the bill. It's not that I minded paying the $12.00, I didn't, but you know, sometimes if people give you a break on little things like that you want to use them again. Also, I had already written the check. I just find the people in their office rude, abrupt, and annoying. The delivery man brought the rug and tried to tell me that they charge to lay the rug. Dobbins never charged me to lay my rug, that was considered part of the service, and, in fact, went to great pains to get it in the right position. To his credit, he did cut the strings and help us roll it out. I still have to have someone help me get it in to correct position. I will say that the rug cleaning is excellent. The rug does look great for the most part but there were some minor stains that they couldn't get out which was disappointing. The fringe now is very clean so clearly I didn't need new fringe. In short, the cleaners and drivers are very pleasant, the owners are not. I won't use them again for any reason. I like to give money to people who actually appreciate my business, not act like I'm an incredible inconvenience.

They did a very good job. I've found them to be reliable, responsive, and well priced. I have used them for years. They have also taken care of area carpets that I have, like Oriental rugs. They have been very good to work with. The price was definitely worth it. I follow their advice. I have never been disappointed in them. I don't think their pricing has gone up very much over the years. They were efficient. They did a good job on the carpeting, which is very difficult to get clean. They kept me informed about when they were coming. They also offered to reschedule. They were right on time.

We spent about $250 on that service. The job went very well. We had to have a lot of tassels re-knotted and the edges were in a mess and they did a fantastic job of repairing it. They were very, very good at the repair and the only slight problem were that they could only pick up, and deliver on a Tuesday. The actual work was great and I would use them again.

The guys who came to pick up the carpets were really nice. I had the work done and they came back Thursday (11/4) looking like a million dollars. The binding on the edges was gorgeous, and Zakian cleaned the carpets better than any other place I have gone. The guys who brought the carpets were also very nice. I thought the price was very fair and I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to my best friend.

I would use them again as they are the only local provider that specializes in oriental rugs. the repair job they did not hold together and they are very expensive.

Very good work. The only difficulty is that they only pick up and deliver in your area on certain dates, and that can be hard to schedule. I would have them do carpets again without hesitation.

They were right on point with pick/up delivery. They were extremely professional. They held to the price quoted...it was on the high end but until they actually SAW the damage I understood the price would not be firm. They did a beautiful job on both the cleaning and repair. I knew where the moth damage was but I can barely find it now.....Kudos to them for a job well done. I plan on getting the rest of my rugs cleaned very soon...

When I unrolled the carpets at the end of September, they looked brand new. The repairs to the fringes of the rugs cost $400 for expert hand work. Cleaning, deodorizing and Scotchgard cost about $370. This is a terrific price for expert care which enhances both carpets appearance and prolongs their life. Zakian's employees know oriental carpets and how to take care of them. I am thrilled that I called them.

This company charged a bit more than most, but other companies contacted would not pick-up and deliver the rug and/or they would only do in-home "steam cleaning." My rug was very heavy and thick and needed to be hung to dry. This company could get the job one and did, so I paid. Customer service was great the 1st time I called for an estimate. Very friendly and informative. The second time I called the woman was rude and abrupt and notified me that she/they did not have my name in their records and that I was "misinformed" about the details of the first estimate by a different salesperson. I would've gone elsewhere after talking to the second woman, but was running out of time (I needed the rug cleaned within 1 week). Thankfully, they did a decent job of cleaning the rug in the end. I would not say they go the "extra mile," (e.g. didn't take the time to clean up loose threads), but did what they were asked to do - a basic cleaning and prompt service. Estimate ended on the high end (which I kind of expected). Delivery man was very nice.

They picked up the rugs in the house we were moving from and delivered them to where we were moving. They placed them where we wanted them neatly and professionally.

The men came to pick up the rugs well within the two-hour window they had given us. They were businesslike and polite. They promised the rugs one week later. A day or two later, the plant called to say that two of the rugs needed minor repairs on the edges; they had a reasonable price and I gave permission. The men brought back the rugs one week later as they said they would, again within the time window. All cleaning and repairs were excellently done. No problems, a fine job, and will certainly use them again.

They were on time. They were nice people. I did have to roll up the rug. They were very quick. The guy lifted the rug by himself. They came in and left in a minute. The rug was gone for about a week or so. They made it look like a brand new rug. I would recommend them to others.

They did an excellent job cleaning both the carpets and the runners. However, I thought the price was a little high. Overall, they did a good job and were professional.

Carpets were picked up on the appointed date and returned on time. The delivery men were very polite and efficient. They arrived during the appointment window as promised. The staff at the facility was very nice and knowledgeable about their work and the cost for same. They called to ask if we wanted some damage in one of the rugs repaired while it was in for cleaning. (we did not, but it was nice to be asked!). Carpets were delivered wrapped in paper and ready for summer storage. A very pleasant experience.

All service & work was quite acceptable. They charge extra to roll up the rugs, so do that yourself. They unrolled the wrong clean rug onto my floor while I was in the other room, so pay attention. My rug was still on the truck.`

THIS COMPANY WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL. THEY WERE PROMPT AND DIDN'T DAMAGE ANY OF MY FURNITURE WHEN THEY MOVED IT AROUND.
