They were close by, responded quickly, their price was good and fair, and everything went fine. It was expensive, but fine for plumbers, and they get high ratings. I will use them again in the future.

They are very good. They are really responsive and careful. They have done about 5 or 6 big jobs for us and have always done a good job.

He came in on a day off and was honest about the actual problem. I would use him again in the future if necessary.

Tom returned my call quickly. Came out and gave an estimate on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Phoned the Monday after Thanksgiving to say he could do the job on this day. The job was completed in less than 3 hours. He was very professional. I would definitely contact this company again if a plumber is needed.

Only one of 3 plumbers contacted to return call within 15 minutes. Came out next day, nice guy and an excellent plumber. Within one hour had the guarantee back. Will use again without hesitation and have recommended.

They returned my call within 2 hours and said they would be out within the hour. The arrived as promised. They unclogged my main sewer line within 5 hours of my initial call. Very prompt, friendly and helpful. Will definitely call them for future jobs.

Overall, it turned out pretty good. I didn't have a problem. They were effecient and they came when they said they were going to come.

I had a clogged kitchen sink. This is a recurring problem because of the way my house is built. The job was messy and labor intensive and probably should have cost more to justify the time and aggravation that it provided. The price stayed the same though, and I was pleased with the result.

Called T. Sullivan after reading reviews on Angie's list. Left message and received call back within minutes. Scheduled visit for estimate next day. Estimate was reasonable. Tom explained that most of my plumbing problems (water pressure and lack of hot water) related to the hot water heater which I planned to replace due to age anyway. I also planned to replace the house heater and he explained his recommendations in a kind and professional manner. Work was scheduled for two different days shortly thereafter when it worked for my schedule. Always arrived on time and called just before arriving. Installed new water heater and house heater. Removed old water heater and really old & heavy house heater. Fixed faucet leaks and low water pressure issues. Tolerated my dog well. Explained findings and how to use new heaters. Total was exactly as quoted - $4,875. I have amazing water pressure, plenty of hot water, no more leaks, and look forward to a toasty, less expensive winter. I also have a plumber to call should an emergency arise!

With the heavy rains these past few days, our basement was flooding. Sewer water was backing up and flowing into the basement. Called T. Sullivan because we've used them in the past (last year, around July). Problems with the main sewer to the street backing up is a perennial problem on our street. Left message on an answering machine. Within 30 minutes, plumber called back. He took all the information, and explained that he would call me back with a time. Within 60 minutes, he called me back and said he was on his way. He was here in about 10 minutes. He snaked the main sewer line from the sidewalk to the house, and then from the sidewalk to the main sewer line in the street. He went in both directions several times. He then had me run the water to double check that everything was okay. I was very satisfied with the speed and service, He was friendly and professional. As mentioned, we used this company in the past, and would do so again. They have always provided excellent service.

We had had a long-standing problem of water from the tub/shower leaking through the ceiling below. We had "fixed" the problem with a lot of plummer's putty, but had a recurrence of the problem the week after Christmas. We decided to finally call a plummer to take care of the problem the correct way. We had used Sullivan & Sons before, and were pleased, so we called them for this. Mike came out the same day we called and looked in the panel behind the tub and discovered that the pipes were configured wrong, causing the faucet and values on the other side to not fit correctly... and that was the source of the water running back down the pipes into the space behind the tub, and from there through the ceiling. He gave us an estimate and said he'd need to order some parts and would be back to do the work in a couple days. He actually got the parts much sooner than he anticipated and came back and completed the work the next day.

We have worked with a lot of contractors, and they are definitely the best contractor we have worked with. They are great. They were not in the home much because the problem was in the garage, but I guess they were in the basement a little bit. They are always very clean, they clean up after themselves. They are punctual. Overall, the work was done great. We would continue to use them again in the future.

I explained about the Parts and labor with PGW and let him check over the heater, he did all he could to get it to work. He checked the heater the venting and the burners, he even checked the thermostat. Sad to say, after 44 years theHeater was finished. I ask tom for a quote on a new one, Thomas gave me an approximation of 3850.00 he left and said he would get me an exact quote, shortly there after he call and said the quote would be 3875.00 I gave him the go ahead. The next day bright and early Wednesday, he came to drain the old boiler, said he would come Thursday to remove the old boiler And come Friday to install the new one. Tom then changed that because the Wholesaler was closed Friday due to New Year's Eve. Tom came Thursday, 8;00 am, removed the old boiler and installed the new Boiler. This included all the plumbing and electric line new smoke pot and thermostat. Also cleaned up and left the basements clean as when he arrived. Thomas also hauled away all the old boiler parts and pipes. Use them, they are professional and fair priced, giving Quality service, I have used them before to replace a Toilet and put in a new sink, on time at the price quoted.

I have been calling on Sullivan Plumbing for over 10 years and have been satisfied with everything they've done for me. Their work is of the highest quality. They are very straightforward and honest, and I trust their advice. So I feel comfortable discussing issues honestly with them and get their feedback without fear that they are simply trying to take my money. I trust them in a way unique to my home service providers. I have used Sullivan on non-emergency maintenance projects, such as repairing minor leaks, replacing the water heater before it floods my basement, or problems that don't require immediate response. I have not had plumbing emergencies (knock on wood) but I have wondered if they would be able to get back to me quickly enough. Their phone goes straight to voice mail and it appears that they check it once or twice throughout the day. I would recommend that they provide a cell phone emergency number on their voice mail.

My water heater broke the morning of my son's birthday. I called five Angie's List companies and this was the first of the three that called me back within an hour to discuss needs and get a quote. The quote was the best and they were able to come out and get the job completed same day. I was up and running by 2PM. When I noticed no water coming out a few hours later and called to figure out what the simple fix might be, they called back quickly and alerted me that they probably neglected to turn the valves back on which took 10 seconds to rectify at my end over the phone. Great communication

The water in the tub was not just dripping it was running and could not be turned off. I had one plumber look at it, only replace the washers and say he needed to do more to stop the drip. He said that it could only be fixed by opening the wall (I have no access panel). He later gave me a price of $550. Mike from Sullivan's came out around 3 and was done at 3:45 the same day I called. He replaced the washers, tightened the seats and stopped the drip. All for the low, low price of $120. Thanks Mike and Angie's List for saving me $430.

We have used Sullivan Plumbing for many years now. They are prompt coming to see the job. He had to come back with fittings for our job and returned the next day. Lesson learned: DO NOT REMOVE OLD CAST IRON RADIATORS.

A fine experience. I was given a fair estimate--I had secured two prior estimates that were higher--thoroughly explained the work to be done and given additional information regarding optional upgrades to the system. Mr. Sullivan spent approximately four hours doing the work. An exceptional professional.

They are reasonable, good people. We would recommend them to other people. We were pretty happy with the price for this particular job, but the estimate they gave later was quite high.

Mike was great. He was prompt and professional. He explained what needed to be done and answered other plumbing kinds of questions I had that were unrelated to the job at hand. He was on time and prompt in returning all my phone calls. Very nice guy, not an alarmist kind of plumber who makes you think everything bad that can happen will happen! He was calm and positive. I would definitey use this company and Mike again.

We finally decided to call a plumber. I called Thomas Sullivan because of their Angie's List rating. (I did not mention Angie's List when I called.) They called back immediately (within 15 minutes or so), and said they would be at our house after they finished an earlier job. Within an hour, they were at our front door. Two plumbers showed up. They were very professional. They asked about the history of the problem, and remedies that we had tried in the past. Then the plumber offered a solution, and said that we should see whether his proposed solution fixed the problem. He said he would specify on his invoice what he had done to fix the problem so that we would have a record. That way, if we had subsequent problems, he would know that the first solution didn?t fix the problem, and we could try a solution that was more costly. That was a better alternative than trying anything major or drastic (we thought they would have to rip up the sidewalk). He ran the snake in both directions (to the street and into the house). All the time, he explained what he was doing, and why. He answered all my questions thoroughly, was very polite and patient, and didn?t make me feel like I was an idiot for not understanding how sewer lines work. He also provided advice on a drain in our back yard that we thought might be contributing to the problem. At this time, I cannot tell whether the problem is permanently fixed, but if we should encounter problems again, I would not hesitate to call this plumber. I very much appreciate the fact that he explained (in detail) what he was doing, and why it would solve the problem.
