They were on time both for the estimate and the work, showing up at 8:30am and working until 6pm on a Friday to complete this job. The traps were shallow and had to be hand dug in very rocky soil, very hard work. They demonstrated competence with regard to the condition of the rest of the sewer line and the estimate was spot on. In addition, they brought the proper paper work from the city and took care of calling all utilities companies before they dug. Overall, they were great to work with.

Mr. Sullivan never provided an estimate for work.

The work went well. The plumber did a good job installing the new pipe and re-cementing the floor and cleaning up. However, when doing wash a few days later, we noticed a leak coming from the trap. He came out again and fixed the problem quickly. The problem was solved and now no leaks.

On the late afternoon of the home emergency, Tom quickly returned my call. He carefully listened to the situation and determined the replacement parts necessary. While we did go without heat that evening, Tom was able to get the parts and fix the plumbing issue the next morning. Upon seeing the damage and finding additional problems, he decided against repairing the existing line and replaced the full line. This caused the job to be much longer than he initially anticipated, but he did not charge us for the extra time. This is the second time I have used Sullivan Plumbing; both times with great experience. Tom is now our plumber of choice.

Tom and his son did a terrific job! Tom returned my original call quickly, listened to our needs and provided two different solutions for us to choose. Tom's fair price (not the lowest) combined with his strong communication skills won the work. On the installation day, Tom and his son arrived promptly on time. All work was done professionally and quickly, and the work area was cleaned well prior to leaving. I am very pleased with Tom's work and will use him as my plumber in the future. Highly recommended.

Best plumber I have ever had. He was efficient, very clean, punctual, and I felt that they price was good.

He arrived on time. Unfortunately he does not have a cell phone, so I could not communicate with him that I was held up in traffic and would be about 10 minutes late. My contractor let him for the required estimate. We talked the next day over the phone and Mr. Sullivan promised an estimate he would send via FAX within 2 days. He never sent an estimate!

After they were done there was a leak but they returned very promptly to fix it.

Mike showed up on time and gave me a competitive estimate. We scheduled the work for the following week. Mike called to confirm our appointment and showed up on time. He moved the existing floor drain in the basement to accommodate a new stackable washer and dryer. He repaired the basement floor (where the drain had been moved) and installed a new laundry sink and faucet.

A couple of days later, the one toilet wasn't working right. He came back, and said he thought it was a cord that was too long. He cut it, and it seemed fix. He said I didn't owe him anything, because it is guaranteed for a year. Yesterday, the other toilet started to overflow. I tried fixing it myself, but I had to call the company again. This time I talked to the son. He was here in about 20 minutes. He looked at the toilet, got a plunger, and it went down. He didn't find anything, but suggested that maybe me or my maid put something down there. I told him I didn't have a maid. He was only here about 10 minutes. I had him check the other toilet while he was here. When I asked him about the guarantee, he said the guarantee was only for the parts, not labor. I said that's not what his father had told me. He charged me half of what he said should have, but I said I wanted a bill. If I didn't have to pay for the 2nd trip, I don't understand why I am paying for the 3rd visit.

It went very well. The job took longer than expected, but the work was done carefully and cleanly. Even though it took a lot longer than they thought, they stayed true to their estimate, and answered any questions I had. I was very pleased, and Thomas Sullivan will be the plumber I call from now on.

Job 1: They were very professional and very prompt. They installed the drain perfectly and we are going to call them out again to do some further work. For personal reasons we have decided not to show the total amount charged at this time. Job 2: Tom has always performed excellent work and is honest and patient. He worked with me from start to finish on this very difficult job. He helped diagnose the unexplained gurgling that was happening in my pipes by recommending that we have a company come out that can put a camera down the sewage line. He then worked with me in excavating and replacing the pipe. He and his son worked incredibly hard and completed the job as quickly as they could.

Leak in a complex water filter system; leak in bathroom sink; wobbly toilet; all repaired.

They did a beautiful job. They came out the next day. The toilet works perfect! I will be using them for the rest of my life! They are perfect!

Great! I called at the beginning of the week for an appointment and they came at the first available time I had. The sink is now draining much faster and no more gurgling. They were efficient, professional and pleasant. We have used them in the past and will continue to call them for all of our plumbing needs. Excellent service!

Job 1: It went great. I talked to Tom on Monday, said he could come on Tuesday, but by my own fault I missed his call. He and his son came Wednesday morning and were done before lunch. Very professional and genuinely nice guys. They even fixed the pipe in my backyard in the pouring rain. Job 2: It went great. Tom and his son came for the estimate, ordered the sump, and returned to install a few days later.

I thought since he was at the very top of the list, this would be a top notch plumber, but I was disappointed. I felt taken advantage of since I'm a woman and clueless about plumbing. He made the job much harder than it needed to be by ignoring me when I told him where the main pipe was and preceding to drag all his equipment onto the roof with much complaining. My husband works on a job with plumbers and when he told them our situation, they said it should be a piece of cake to fix. He said he knew he shouldn't have come out here and don't call him again. He spent 3 hours here with much chit-chat about absolutely nothing. I was expecting a much more professional plumber (he came in a beat up very old van) and a more pleasant experience. I also feel like I was ripped off, the other reviews I read for similar work seemed to have been charged much less.

I was impressed with the two people that showed up to do the work. They did show up exactly when they said they would. They were very clean and efficient as well. The new water heater has been working just fine.

I called Sullivans today and left a message. Mike returned my call promptly and we set up an appointment for the same day. He arrived on time and completed the task within the hour. He made sure everything was working property before he left. I was happy that he was able to repair the sink immediately since this needed to be fixed before the sale of my home this week. Their fee was very reasonable. I would gladly use them again for any plumbing needs.

This company is one of the best plumbing companies you will find in this area. They are knowledgeable, very professional and as they are a three man team, always reliable. The only problem I have with them is that they are so busy; it is sometimes hard to get them to come out. No bother though, the work they do is far superior to anything or anyone else you are going to find out there, so it is worth the wait.

He worked very quickly and did a really good job of cleaning up. The suggestions as to what the cause of the problems were right on and he did only that work which was necessary.

We really liked the fact that because he couldn't find our house that he called us from his cell phone to inform us he might be a couple of minutes later than his appointment time. We liked this because it really showed that he respected our feelings and that he considered about being punctual.

I had told him about the problem over the phone. He came in and asked to see the basement and said "There's your problem." Then he explained why it seemed that the problem was a third floor problem when it wasn't. He explained how air moves in the plumbing system. I have no words for how grateful I am. I was ready to move out of my house or to have to spend thousands of dollars that I didn't have. He charged only the $75.00 for coming in to give an estimate. I insisted he take $100.00.

They were swamped with work and found the time to fit me in and responded quite fast to my residence. He has also done very good work for us on past jobs and fixed problems for us that other contractor quoted us enormous prices on.

Tom and his son were extremely professional. They told me that they wouldn't waste my time looking for the shut-off valve at the curb, and instead thought they could replace the valve (although some water would come into my basement). They also said that there was a one in ten chance that removing the valve would strip the pipe (much better than the 9 in 10 chance the other plumber told me). Everything went splendidly, the removed the valve, let hardly any water into the basement, and repiped the meter and added a new valve. Their expertise saved me from spending thousands of dollars digging up my front yard.
