Michael's Brick Pointing

Michael was courteous, responsible, punctual, and always stayed in touch (quite a quality for a contractor!) He worked with me all along to find the most appropriate ways to handle things. He knew i had a limited budget and couldn't afford to sandblast the brick and repoint what was beneath the stucco. We agreed on a technique that would re-create the underlying brickface and then coat it to make it look like painted brick. He assessed all the work that needed to be done and informed me of what he would be doing and when he would be there. All members of his crew were professional and cleaned up after themselves. Michael was on the job frequently and no one made a decision without contacting him first. He was insistent that he wanted me to be happy and that he would make sure everything was done to my satisfaction, which it was. Any minor issues I had were resolved quickly. He and his crew were a real pleasure to work with and if I have any additional masonry work I would definitely call him back.

Michael was very professional and punctual. I ultimately went with another contractor because the estimate was $200 lower and was more focused on what I wanted to do -- solidly rebuild a portion of my brick wall in the back of my house instead of repointing the entire back side of the house.

It took Mike and his team tow day to get everything done. They repair the lintel, did stone pointing for almost the whole house and repaired the walkway. Mike is very responsiveness. I call him several days after the project was done and asked him some questions. He stopped by and did another check and walk through. Overall I am very satisfied.

We called Michael and he came to the house within a couple of days and did a walk around the entire property, pointing out masonry problems that needed attention. We were aware of some things that needed repair but he has a keen eye and brought a number of other serious problems to our attention, and gave us a written estimate and specific services to be performed. This estimate was NOT inflatted; the house was built in the early 1950's and has never had any masony work done; it was long past time for this to happen in order to restore the integrity of the structure. The work was delayed for about 7-10 days while Michael and his crew of 4 or 5 finished up other jobs. They started on a Wednesday before 7:30am; errected scaffolding, ladders, laid out tarps and began their work. On the first day Michael took each of his workers to certain areas of the house and told them exactly what needed to be done. He was also on the job the entire time, working along side his men. The pointing is beautifully done - and blends in very nicely with the original mortar. The concrete work is perfect. The crew cleaned up each day and were very polite. The work was finished by late Friday afternoon. We have used a number of different contractors over the years with varying degrees of satisfaction. This contractor gets an A+ across the board. I can honestly say that If you need masony work done this is the company you should use -Michael and company are well worth waiting for and will do an excellent job. They are true professionals and we couldn't be happier !!!

I found Mike and his associates to be very professional. They did very nice work and were very conscientious about cleaning up afterward. Mike took the time to walk me through everything and if there was anything i did not want done at this time he was okay with that as well. I also appreciated that he took the time to come back and did additional work to remedy the problem from the rain. I had contacted three companies and Mike's costs were competitive and I liked that he was located in my neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this company and would not hesitate to contact them in the future if i need any masonry work done on my property.

Michael is a great guy to work with. Came to the house multiple times during the process to make sure I was happy with the work and checked to make sure his guys didn't miss an inch. They were prompt professional and did fantastic work. Cracks are repaired and hardly visible, the brick pointing matches well with the existing masonry, no mess, everything looks great. I would highly recommend!

Mike contacted me immediately and provided a detailed estimate. He kept me fully informed as job was going on. Prompt, efficent,cleaned up work area. Most importantly, he resolved an issue (a big one for me) promptly and fairly. His workers overlooked a major area. No hassle. Came back twice to fully resolve. He kep reinforcing that he wanted me to be completed satisfied. Price was a bit higher than I anticipated but I would absolutely recommende Mike's Pointing and use them ag . Nice

They were on time, everything happened the way they said it would, there was alot of people on site, they cleaned up and the only negative thing I would say is that I just wish they would have covered the windows before they sprayed. They did clean them up but it wouldn't have taken so long. Their prices were excellent.

I found Mike to be a nice and sincere guy. He provided an reasonable estimate and arrived on the scheduled date and time. There was a mishap with concrete being spilled on my awning but Mike was apologetic and willing to go above and beyond to correct the situation. I would recommend and/or use his services in the future. Great job Mike!

My experience was excellent. It was a very old school transaction...Michael came out, called me with a price and options, we accepted, then his guys showed up and did the work. No muss, no fuss...I gave him a check and we were both pleased. Easy. No drama. His guys were pleasant, professional and respectful to the property. I am recommending him to all of the neighbors that are asking. I will make one note to anyone contacting him...it takes a bit to hear back, but you will. Don't take it personally. He's busy because he's good.

Mic I can't begin to say how happy and pleased I am with Michael and his employees. They are respectful and highly professional. He or his workers show you exactly what the problem is and what they are going to do to remedy the problem.I have read in reviews that Michael does not get back to people quickly. I can attest that he is a hands on boss. His phone has gone off numerous times when he is working and it is not save to answer while on a ladder or scafflolding holding morter. He also never answers when he has been discussing jobs with me. His attention is always focused on the task at hand. He is worth the wait!!I would highly recommend Michael to anyone thinking of or needing to have brick work.

I would hire him again to work on the partition walls in my back yard. The only thing that turned out to be a big surprise was the color of the paint...it did not look like what I pick out. I am thankful that it's not too ugly to keep me up at night. So, if possible, I would ask to see the actual paint; if Michael happens to have some left overs from previous jobs. The small sample papers don't work so well; & I had an visual art background.

Great. I called Michael's Brick Pointing on a recommendation from We Care Quality. Mike was at my house that afternoon and gave me a quote for the job. After reciveing 3 more quotes Mike's was the most competative. Once we finalized our financial situation I called Mike to schedule the work. He was able to fit me in between jobs and we scheduled work with in a week. The work began on Wednesday and it was completed on Friday. The crew showed up as promised on time at 7 am (way earlier then my usual wake-up time, but I was glad to get the work started. The were neat and did all the work well, and cleaned up afterwords. My only issue was the smoking. Wow. I do not smoke and the crew does a lot, constantly. This is not really an issue with the quality of their work but was a bit of a concern for me. Overall the job went smoothly ans was well done.

It went very well! He was very punctual and flexible. He left an estimate for us when he was in the neighborhood, which was great.

They gave an estimate which included options that we did not have complete. It was good to see the options in writing, to get an idea of our budget, so that was a bonus. One minor issue....there was that there was a gap in stucco after job was completed and they had to come back and seal it up...They did deal w the issue promptly with no problem.

My 3 story house was built in the 1800s and really needed some tender loving care. Michael came out and gave me an estimate and told me it would take about 2 weeks to do this job. There was a team of 5 men and they started at 7:00 in the morning and worked hard until about 3:30 every day. They used scaffolding to get to the top of my house. They had to use my neighbor's yard to erect the scaffold to access the west side of my house and they were very careful not to harm her plants. They removed the old shutters and installed my new shutters. Every window was caulked. They applied two coats of Thoro-Coat Masonry Coating to all the stucco walls and they even went on the roof and coated my chimney. They repaired the masonry on my front porch and painted it. They power-washed and painted the porch roof. They repaired the deterioration in the stone foundation. I am so pleased with the outcome. Michael or his son would check with me just about every day to be sure that I was pleased with what they were doing and to see if I noticed anything that they might have missed. The men were very quiet and cleaned up the worksite every day. I can recommend this company to anyone. My house looks beautiful.

Micheal was able to get me an estimate, and finish the job in less than a month. He also noted some stone that needed pointing, and repaired that at the same time. The work was beautiful. His team cleaned up so well, their work was the only sign they were there.

MICHAEL'S BRICK POINTING team of 5 arrived early on a Thursday morning, set up scaffolding and were under way in no time. A very well synchronized team of professionals, each working on a different aspect of the job. They pointed the entire side of my 80+ year old brick row house and partially pointed the front where necessary. They also took extra care to look for areas that could be improved like around my chimney and caulked the cornice area. It was a 2 day job and I was very pleased with the care they took and their knowledge of the trade. I did have to wait a short period after receiving my estimate from Michael since he was busy on a larger job at the time. This was not a problem for me. Michael gave me a very fair quote and I would not hesitate to use his services in the future. These guys were worth the wait!

I called and left a message requesting an estimate on the 6th of September and Mike returned the call on the 9th of September. After a good discussion, Mike said that he would stop in a couple of days, and review the job and leave an estimate at my door because he said that I did not have to be home. I have not heard a word from him or seen an estimate till date. A simple, not interested or busy, would have been appreciated. I just noticed similar recent reports stating that they have not responded to requests for estimates. I think that the company might be having some problems and I hope I am not piling on. I awarded the job to another company.

The firs time i called him, he did not respond in what I felt was a reasonable period of time. However, I gave it another go, and he did respond. He was very professional and down to earth. We communicated about when he would look at the back of my house. He came out, took a look, and sent me an estimate and a listing of what needed to be done. He also included his price. I agreed to the estimate. He could not come out to do the job as long as it was raining. I believe it was Sunday, Oct. 2nd he came out 7 am, and did the job. My niece let me know he was there. she could not stay because she had to get to work. I havent been able to inspect it yet because I live in another state and dont get to Philly often. Mike told me what he had done, and that there was damage at the top of the wall near the roof, which he fixed. And that's it.

Michael stopped today - very nice man - gave me a couple of options - fair pricing I thought. Thinking it over and see no reason not to work with this company. More to come.

Two-man crew arrived early in morning, as they said they would. Spread tarps on the ground, and got to work. They spent about 2-1/2 hours in front. When done, they cleaned up everything and proceeded to start on the rear. It took them about 1-1/2 hours to complete, again spreading tarps and cleaning up afterwards. We chatted while they working, but they didn't stop their work. They were professional in every detail.

Michael and his crew arrived on time , performed the planned work and also were able to complete additional work not originally planned. Michael and his crew were professional, courteous, and left the job site clean.

He was punctual and caring. He did a decent enough job of it. He was conscientious. The quality was good.

He did a great job. His crew was in and out quickly, and they cleaned up after themselves. He did an excellent job. I felt it was a good price. I noticed the difference after he completed the work. The draft from the windows has been cut down. They were personable, neat, and prompt. This job was done a lot better compared to the last time I had it done from another company. They quality of the work looked great.
