They arrived late, so I was nervous and then there were problems with the truck which slowed down our move. The guys, however, were great and they did not charge us for the lost time. They worked from 11 AM to 7 PM with a dinner break. Given the general stress of moving, I would say this was a positive experience.

Pleasant and friendly staff. The movers were competent. Minimal to no damage noted from move. All moved items were fine, but door frame to one room was slightly scratched/banged from furniture. Easy to make arrangements for move (time, date). Staff returned calls promptly during setup of service. Pricing was definitely competitive (or better) compared to larger moving companies.

We have used Mambo in the past and have always had a good experience. This time was not as good - although the movers were polite, and on time, and even went out of their way to help us move in some very big and heavy furniture down a very narrow hallway. All of our furniture is wood, mostly mahogany. They did a terrible job of wrapping furniture. Almost every piece of our furniture has several prominent scratches and gashes. Some pieces will need to be redone by a professional to hide the scratches. While I understand and tolerate some scratching, the amount of scratches and damage is unacceptable this time. I will not use them again.

The movers arrived close to the scheduled time, & were very polite & efficient. Mambo sent 3 guys to do a relatively small move, but only charged me a flat rate by the hour ($105/hr). They had everything completed in roughly 2 1/2 hours (short move distance). I moved into an old rowhouse that was formally a trinity, so the spiral staircase was very steep & narrow. A few items had to be hoisted through a window from the outside, but the guys were persistent & got it done with no damage to the items or house. I was happy to give them a generous tip. The only reason I gave a B on quality is that the service offered by Mambo is fairly "no frills", meaning they don't catalog your items or use a lot of wrapping materials to move your furniture (as you might get with a larger national mover like United Vanlines, etc). However, for what I needed this was ideal, fast, courteous, & the price was right!

MAMBO MOVERS HAVE BEEN 100% PROFESSIONAL, RELIABLE AND ENJOYABLE TO WORK WITH. THEY HAVE MOVED VERY LARGE PIECES OF FURNITURE INTO ROOMS WHERE I THOUGHT THEY WOULD NOT FIT - AND NEVER EVEN NICKED THE WALLS. THEY NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT THE WEATHER (ONE MOVE WAS BITTER COLD AND THE OTHER 2 WERE SCORCHING HOT) NOR DID THEY FROWN ABOUT THE MYSTERIOUS AMOUNT OF THINGS I HAVE - MANY OF WHICH ARE HEAVY AND FRAGILE. NOTHING WAS BROKE AND AT THE END OF THE MOVE (ONE OF WHICH WAS 13 HOURS), THEY WERE STILL SMILING. I LOVE THE MAMBO GUYS. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING GOING IN PHILLY.

I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE MOVE IN JUNE; ENOUGH SO THAT I SCHEDULED THEM TO PERFORM PACKING AND MOVING SERVICES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE MOVE. THE PACKING WAS DONE HAPHAZARDLY AND THE PACKERS LEFT SEVERAL CLOSETS AND CABINETS UNPACKED. WORST OF ALL, THEY DID NOT PACK THE GARAGE OR SHED, DESPITE SPECIFICALLY SHOWING THEM THE ITEMS AND ROOMS THAT NEEDED PACKED. WHEN I CALLED MAMBO TO TELL THEM THAT THESE ITEMS NEEDED TO BE PACKED BEFORE THE SCHEDULED MOVE, SERGE GOT VERY UPSET WITH ME AND CANCELLED THE MOVE ALL TOGETHER. I NOW HAVE A HOUSE COMPLETELY PACKED AND READY TO MOVE, WITH NO MOVER. I WOULD NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND MAMBO AGAIN.

THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME, WERE VERY POLITE AND WORKED REALLY HARD. OVERALL FABULOUS EXPERIENCE! WE WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

FANTASTIC. GUYS WERE ON-TIME, CONSTANTLY WORKING, VERY POLITE, VERY ORGANIZED, VERY CAREFUL, VERY NICE AND REASONABLY PRICED. GREAT EXPERIENCE. WOULD DEFINITELY USE AGAIN, AND RECOMMEND HIGHLY TO ANYONE WHO ASKED.

I HAD USED MAMBO ONCE BEFORE, NO ISSUES. I SET UP A MOVE FOR THE END OF AUGUST '05 WITH SERGE AT LEAST A MONTH BEFORE I MOVED. BOTTOMLINE, THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE AT MY HOUSE AT 10 A.M. AT NOON I CALLED THEM AND KEPT CALLING THEM. SERGE, THE CONTACT, WAS INDIGNANT AND MADE NO APOLOGIES FOR THE LATENESS. AT 5 P.M. I GAVE UP AND SCRAMBLED TO FIND SOMEONE TO HELP MOVE ME SINCE I HAD TO BE OUT OF MY APARTMENT. IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE. MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

AFTER A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE BEFORE WITH MOVERS, I CANNOT RAVE ENOUGH ABOUT HOW PLEASANT THIS EXPERIENCE WAS. FAST, COURTEOUS, CAREFUL, AND HONEST. MY ONLY WISH IS THAT THEY COULD PACK.

3 MOVERS CAME; VERY PUNCTUAL. VERY CAREFUL WITH OUR FRAGILE ITEMS, VERY HARD WORKERS. THEY FINISHED IN A SHORTER AMOUNT OF TIME THAN ORIGINALLY THOUGHT.
