Mambo Movers

A completely wonderful experience. Mambo Movers arrived right on time, immediately got to work and moved me from a 3rd floor walk up with very narrow stairs in record time. The movers were friendly, patient and very careful with my belongings. I would recommend them highly to anyone who is considering a move!

Everything went well. Chris, who answered the phone, was helpful with planning information and their website is very clever.

We scheduled our move three weeks in advance, but because we had purchased a new construction home our closing/settlement date was changed due to delays. We were able to reschedule our moving date with less than a week before settlement. Once the date was finalized we scheduled a PM move which we were told could mean that they would show up anywhere between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. The day of the move the driver called at 1:30 p.m. to let us know they would be there in about one hour. They showed up at 3:20 p.m., said it was probably going to take about six hours and got to work right away. They did a great job packing the truck and getting everything out of our old place. There were a few things they couldn't fit into their truck that they helped us carry down and put into our own cars. We had NO damage to any of our belongings and only two very minor scratches on the stair case of our new place. They were finished in seven hours.

We have used them twice for moving and both times we were really satisfied.

They were excellent had to change move date and they were willing to accommodate that. Had to walk down a spiral step took 2 1/2 hours for the move.

These guys were fantastic. When the couch didn't fit through the TV room door, they engineered a way to bring it in the window. They were quick, but took the time to make sure things happened the way we wanted them to. Totally nice, totally efficient, totally reasonably priced!

Mambo was great. WE heard about them from our friends. They had a positive experience and so too did we. We are happy to report this company worked so fast to get the job done. Furthermore, they were careful with our items, the employees were great to work with, they were organized, and our things were moved with care and grace. We would absolutely recommend this great company to other people. From the prices to the level of care, they are wonderful.

We were satisfied with the work these men did moving my personal items. They were very professional and clean.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB AND WERE INEXPENSIVE.

The movers were courteous but somewhat a haphazard. My light carpet in my apartment got spots all over it from the wheels of the moving carts which got mud on them during the rainy day. Apparently, it is not company policy to put down mats at the doorways to prevent this. However, the owner of the company assured me that they would pay for the carpet cleaning bill. I will keep you posted if that happens.

The speed of the move was great, but the damage was not. We examined our furniture after the move and found our dining room table was left with a 13' scrape along the top, abrasions along two sides, and a another scrape elsewhere (see images). Needless to say we were VERY disappointed. I called the manager and he was cautious and asked me what they could do to make amends, apart from buying us a new table, which he pointed out. I really didn't know what to say and settled for his offer of ripping up our $60 check for the tip. I was only mildly satisfied with this, but became even LESS so when I looked at my grandparent's bookcase, which was also damaged with scrapes along the top edge (not shown). After I spoke with him I noticed this, so for full disclosure: I did not tell them of this additional damage (I was pretty mad), therefore they didn't have the opportunity to correct this damage too. Watch these guys as they load/unload the truck! Otherwise it went as expected.

I initially contacted them by email. When I didn't recieve a response after 2 days, I called. They hadn't checked their email yet. I was thankfully able to book a date with 3 movers for the following week at approximately 9:30. They requested that I call a day or two before to confirm, which I did. On the morning of the move 9:30 came and went. At about 10:15 I get a call on my cell telling me that they had been trying to get me since 9:30 to make sure we were still on. (YEAHHH...that's why I confirmed!) Then they asked for directions. (Ever hear of mapquest?) They got lost 3 times getting to my house. To get to my studio effeciently I printed out mapquest directions for them. This time they got there before I did. That was my biggest complaint. The guys were very personable and careful with my stuff. The rest of the move went smoothly.

They were fast and efficient and professional. They were late to call me to tell me what time they were going to arrive, which was frustrating. Aside from that everything went ok.

The three young men who moved me were extremely professional, courteous and efficient. The entire move took only 2 hours! They were kind, helpful and with a good sense of humor as they dealt with me, my mom and my two anxious cats. All of my stuff arrived in the exact same condition in which it was picked up. Though I don't hope to be moving again anytime soon, I would most definitely use them again when I do.

Very well! All three had wonderful attitudes; smiling, polite, and considering the amount of stairs they had to take with heavy boxes and furniture, they never let their friendly demeanor slip. The entire job was done in less time than I had anticipated and when it was all over we were pleasantly surprised at how unstressful the whole ordeal had been. I would recommend Mambo for any type of move - and two years ago they moved us up to Philadelphia from Georgia without a hitch and also at a very good price!

The movers were quick, personable, and conscientious.

We had to change our moving date a couple of times, and Mambo was flexible and responsive. (I was worried that they would show up on the wrong day, but they didn't.) They said that three guys would arrive between 9:15 and 9:30 am, but they arrived right at 9:00 am. They were friendly, introduced themselves (Jim, Joe and Bill) and asked for the overview of our move. We had extenuating circumstances in the new place because some construction wasn't complete. They were fine with putting everything where we asked them (due to the construction). They used dollies to move things and one dolly-full of boxes tipped in the service driveway. We haven't unpacked everything yet, but so far only one inexpensive wine glass was broken in the move, and nothing appears to be missing.

The move was really easy. The guys were friendly, handled my belongings well and finished ahead of time. I was very pleased and have recommended them to others.

The move was completed on a Saturday morning. Everything went well, and exactly as advertised. The movers were on-time, took care of everything, and were very nice. I used this service on recommendation of my girlfriend and her friends, who have had nothing but good experiences. They charge by the hour, two hour minimum, and the rest of the time is pro-rated. They charge $99 per hour, for which they'll provide three movers, the necessary size truck, and accessories such as blankets and furniture pads. They also do hoisting of large furniture, if need be, although I didn't use that service. Very highly recommended, no complaints whatsoever!

The price is $122 per hour with additional travel costs for 3 men, but if they are done within a half an hour, they only charge for that half hour. They are excellent.

These guys have the best rates, hands down. Plus I really like the idea of the company, that they're all artists or musicians, etc. It makes for some cool conversations. My move was on a really hot day in August and while they sent 3 guys as standard for 1br, we could have easily used 4. Plus I was an afternoon move and I'd really recommend that you schedule for the morning because by the time they got to me (5pm) they were tired and hot. My move took 8 hours and I think the heat plus all the stairs lead to some crankiness amongst the guys towards each other although they were cool enough to me. There was one major gash in my entertainment bureau which just figures since it's my one good piece of furniture but serg was prompt with addressing it the next day and sent out a check that week to compensate me. I'd use them again but only for morning if possible and if you've got alot of stuff, it's just better to hire that extra guy for a smoother move, it's worth a little extra cash.

Mambo movers were great. They finished in under the 2 hour min. time limit. All three guys worked well together and were very careful with the items they moved. The were also very easy going and made the move much more pleasant. The $275 was for 2 hours of moving plus travel time to and from center city. That amount did not include the tip.

The movers showed up on time, worked well with my staff and quickly moved the department. They did not "milk" the job. The movers were personable. I will definitely use them again. Note that if you are a business, clearly define payment arrangements ahead of time. They were very accommodating.

They were simply the best movers we have ever had - polite, incredibly efficient and extremely careful. They did the entire move in just over three hours and only cost $110/hr for three movers. Price above does not include tip.
