They were very knowledgeable in helping me select the product and they were professional and punctual when installing. They also kept me informed during the ordering process.

I initially called to get an estimate to have my fireplace repaired. The neighbors were complaining of being able to smell smoke in their house. Dan came out and took a look, the existing flue in my 100+ year old house needed to be lined. After giving me an estimate to line the flue (about $4200) he also told me about the option to put in a Gas or Wood-burning Insert. With this option the Insert attaches to a 6" tube, fed up through the existing flue and a portion of the cost of the Insert would be covered by a federal tax credit. After deliberating and investigating for a couple of weeks, I called Dan and agreed to the latter option. I went by his store to check out the Inserts they had in stock. Dan came out to install it once it came in. All told it took a few hours. Dan and his helper did a great job. They installed the Insert and new flue, and even added a bit of brick to make sure the Insert sits properly in the fireplace. It looks great, warms us right up and we've already seen a decrease in our heating bill.

They came out and beat the storm. They did a really good job and I would recommend them to others.

I recently moved into an apartment in center city that came with a gas fireplace. When I tried to use it - it turned itself off after 15 minutes and I couldn't determine the cause. I tried to locate a local repair person, but I live in an apartment building that requires anyone doing work in the building to carry a very large amount of insurance and this was the only company in Philadelphia that I could find that was sufficiently insured. I spoke to a very pleasant person on the phone and quickly arranged an appointment.The workmen arrived on time. They were very courteous. I have white rugs and they were meticulous about providing a clean work space and taking care not to injure any of the furnishings. They were very efficient and quickly fixed the problem I was having. I was also impressed that, although, when I asked, they advised me that my fireplace was about 15 years old - they did not try to sell me a newer model. I will definitely use them again.

They were on time and did a very good job. I really liked their service.

We had problems getting the work scheduled, which should have warned me. They finally came and installed the Vermont Castings Small Winter Warm (which we bought from them). The installation was done well and professionally. Two or three months later the glass face broke (from a manufacturing issue) and I have called and called. I have talked to people and I have left messages. I have e-mailed. These people will not help resolve a problem no matter what you do. And this is a small problem. I just hope I never have a big issue with the stove.

Extremely well. The service and cleaning were perfect and they could not have been nicer. Plus the price was unbelievable. To schedule the appointment I needed to leave a message and someone would call me back. They did miss our first appointment but that day, they called and apologized and said they could come in the afternoon which they did and finished quickly. Very good customer service overall.

Wonderfully. Chimney's and Stove done quickly and well at a really really good price. The people who did the job couldn't have been nicer. You do have to leave a message on their machine and then somebody calls you back. Also they missed my appointment in the morning but called me and said they could come out that day to do the job. Very helpful and apologetic.

We came across this store one day while driving on South Street. It was convenient to be able to purchase the insert and have it installed by the same company. The cost of the insert and installation was much lower than other companies we had contacted. The owner, Dan, arrived at the agreed upon time to our house, and had everything completed in only a few hours. Dan was helpful in answering all my questions about the insert. Having the insert has definitely cut down on our home heating costs!!
